Your hair is beautiful sis! I have been loc'd for 1 year 9 months 2 weeks and 5 days today.... YAYY... the journey, the journey. Lol. I love my hair and this is my 4th time locking it in the last 12 years. That's a long story 🙄....but anyway I am here and loving it more than ever. 😁 Oh yeah I interlock. I have been interlocking from day one.
Beautiful hair!!!!! You are my loc model!! I have exactly the same hair texture as you and I’m planning on starting my loc journey soon with mini twists and maintaining them with the two point rotation interlocking method! I can’t wait!
Loced 1 years next month! I started with a loctician and she did the palm roll method. I transitioned to interlocking 3 months after. I did the 4 point rotation but i see the locs do not expand as much. I now do the 2 point rotation. Your locs are beautiful!
Your locs are so beautiful. I'm 13 months into my loc journey and started with two-strand twists. I maintain them by interlocking w/the two point rotation. Peace and love!
Thank you for knowledge! Aug 3 will be my 1yr interlock birthday! After 8yrs of natural hair, locking my hair was the BEST thing I could have done with my hair!
Congratulations on publishing a boo sis! I am 2 years and 10 months locked but whose counting lol. I started out with braid locks.. my grid is sadly not perfect but I have learned to live and love it.
Thanks! 😊 Congrats on almost 3 years loc'd! It's quite alright to have an imperfect grid. The majority of the time, I can barely see my grid anyway because my locs & roots get so frizzy. With wearing my hair down, the grid is almost always covered anyway, lol.
Oh wow your locs have grown sooo much!❤ I bet at year 8 or 9 your locs could be at way past butt length if you choose to not trim them yet. Idk by the way your length is you might be at butt length in a few more years your locs are growing like crazy! 😱 but I know you started on long hair
Thanks! 😊 Sometimes I just use the clarifying shampoo straight out of the bottle, but sometimes I dilute it first. Diluting it seems to help me to get a better lather, and also helps me to use less of the product.
It's a combination of things. But if I had to choose, I would say "consistency." I found a good low maintenance routine for washing, spritzing my locs for moisture when needed, and regular retightenings that don't pull on my scalp. I feel like being consistent with this routine has helped most.
Great video. I’m almost a year loced. I was so shocked by how much my hair shrinkage after installing 😳 but I’m on a journey and I love my locs and have no regrets
Thanks! 😊 Yes, locs shrink quite a bit after installing. On the bright side, it results in fuller locs, and once they start getting longer again, they just grow & grow.
