Despite I'm finnish, I want to tell everybody in english. I got diagnosed in spring and started taking Concerta 3 weeks ago. The contrast if I dont take my meds and when I take it, its just like day and night. I havent felt any crashes or any symptoms when I'm taking my meds. And my dose is 54mg. So funny how one pill just can make your life more simpler. Keep uploading these videos Patrick and we can all get thru this!

Hello Neon, wow that is awesome! That is exactly how I felt when I started: day and night. Glad that you dont get any symptoms or crashes even with 54 mg. Yes it is unbeliavable what pill can do for our ADHD brains and life. Thank you and yes we will! :)

I am now on day three of taking Concerta 18MG, the extended-release version. The first day I felt a bit more nervous, but it was mild. Now, on day three, I was tired when I woke up and didn't feel like doing anything. After I took a tablet, I felt happy again and enthusiastic about life. I've been diagnosed with the combined type ADHD. So far, I'm very happy with the results. I realized that it took so much effort to stay motivated because I could sense that something internally was off. This medication allows me to perform much better.

I’m on 54 mg of concerta, the first week I felt wired. The middle of the second week I felt like it wasn’t working I didn’t know what was going on, but towards the end of the second week I started feeling great. I felt sort of more positive, and a lot calmer than I used to be. I’m going to continue with concerta I was going to use Vyvanse but I don’t want to feel like I’m on cocaine or something, concerta is giving me a much calmer focus. It feels like I was driving a race car but smashing into walls, now my brain feels like a race car with an elderly experienced driver behind the wheel driving steady and controlled.

Im on 54mg of concerta aswel. How would you say it makes u feel now? For me i still struggle with motivation at times when i dont know where to start with a task. When i know what i have to do like when i go to work ( im a uni student aswel full time) i overwork myself because my body knows no limits. I can work 3 days with no breaks 6-8 hour shifts each and then when i have day off hits me like a truck. It makes me very mellow if theres no energy in my surroundings which makes ppl worried sometimes coz i look too neutral.
@CriminalScrutinyTV
@CriminalScrutinyTV 2 года назад
@@benji784florentino I switched to adderall and it works way better for me, my mind is calm and i'm focused and uplifted by the meds. I also take Wellbutrin in order to counter any depression or mood swings, Welbutrin is great because it causes weight loss and not weight gain. After that i take 15mg of adderall in the day time to get my brain working, after about 4-5 hours i take 10mg dose of adderall just to uphold my focus if needed. Concerta was terrible for me i was so anxious and not focused i felt like ripping my hair out, the Adderal was completely different i had focus, a sense of calm, energy and a slight positive mood. Some people do well on concerta and ritalin and others do better on adderall and vyvanse, you need to experiment the drugs and see whats working better for you and your specific issues. Don't just let the doctor give you any meds make sure its a med you want not what they want, some doctors are just scared to prescribe narcotics in fear they'll lose their license so they put you on the bullshit meds that have little to no effect.

ADHD Patrick I follow your videos, you seem optimist , I did try 27=36-45 now at 54mg of concerta feeling less of a potato , Itake it for somnolence and ADHD syndrome, at 54mg i still need cups of coffee and cigarettes to keep me awake focus alert all of this, perhaps at 72mg would be just fine,

concerta is a safe effective stimulant, it is non addictive, and honestly I never felt much of a crash, if you eat a meal you should not have much of a crash. I never had many side effects, and it has made my life a lot better. I dont mix it with coffee, because it does not seem to work as well. But I would say 27mg is a very small dose. I would prefer 81mg.

Has it helped you with Sleeping, anxiety and tuning out? Also do you feel more confident taking concerta? Thanks
@ADHDPatrick
@ADHDPatrick 3 года назад
Hey Max, Concerta has actually ruined my sleep multiple times when I took it too late, it is long acting stimulant so gotta be careful with it. For sleeping I take magnesium and occasionally melatonin. Concerta at low dose does make me feel less anxiety and more confidence since I m more efficient, productive and my brain works better. I had also times when Concerta did increase anxiety, mainly because of dosage issue along outside stress, so I stay on low dose. I do zone out sometimes but in a good way where I m focused on something/working. I did a video about Concerta & Anxiety long time ago :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vB5zPFPKbfo.html

In the past I tried adderall, and vyvance it made me agitated, however I loved the focus. I began to develop insomnia, soI took myself off. I then tried stratera which made me feel like a zombie and did nothing. And here I am again. I am hopeful so far I feel Calm. I need caffine still to wake up. But good. Are headaches normal at 1st?

methylphenidate is a much safer option than amphetamines , you will get more of a high with adderall, but way more sides and strong potential for addiction and abuse. And it could lead to harder drugs like crystal meth.

I finally found my perfect dosage. For me the dont last that long, i take 18 mg in the morning and 27mg between 14:00 to 17:00 and still go to sleep at a reasonable time, like around 11 or 12. I take it like that for like 2 weeks now with no break and im kinda scared to take a day off now, since its working so great. Did you have any withdrawls on days off the meds ? Greetings Sven.

I was on 36 and 54 mg methylphenidate actavis and today I decided to ask my doctor to give concerta instead of methylphenidate actavis because I have heard very good opinions about concerta. I am though a bit worried that the doctor raised my dose to 72mg. I think it is too much. 1sth day of 72mg.... hope it will be fine. I still haven't understood the difference between methylphenidate avtavis and concerta.

Hello Faisal, thank you :) Sorry to hear that. Atleast for me it was, I went to private doctor who specializes in ADHD, I got medication right away. I have no hope for public health care .I have heard lot of negative stories about doctors, right doctor can really make a difference. Some doctors are reluctant to prescribe any stimulant medication, others are the opposite. Its crazy, they give people SSRI like candy but when it comes to stimulant like Concerta its different story. That is very long time wait. I would try to find another doctor or clinic if possible, maybe a psychiatrist who knows ADHD.

Hi Faisal! I live in Spain, too. I would go private if it’s a reasonable expense for you to make. When my son was diagnosed he got Concerta in his second visit to a neurologist. They did an EEG to check for things like epilepsy and then he started medication. The whole process (mostly due to my scheduling at work) took about 2 months. Let us know how it’s going!

I tried Concerta for about 3 weeks or so and even though the first two days were great after that i dont know why i felt calm but too calm, like i coudnt think straight. Also i had a few side effects like headache , nausea and i could feel my heart beating a bit faster. I am now on Vyvanse / Elvanse for a week now and the side effects are so much subtle , and it gives me a bit more motivation , like a good mood in general. But it doesnt last me beyond 6 hours so i am experimenting still as i always have work late in the day. It is very good to know that for some the medication keeps working after years. Have you ever considered trying something else ? Was Concerta your first and only ?

Hello Vincent, for me its about 3 hour mark after I have taken medication when I really feel it. This of cource can differ with people depending on various factors like metabolism, eating patterns etc. Stoner eyes effect I used to have occasionally, usually it happened on bigger doses like 54-72. Many people have said that they get bad headaches from Concerta, probably not drinking enough water can be one of the reasons. Definitely consult your doctor about these side effects. Hey, 2-4 years ago I was a huge nicotine user, cigarettes, lozenges, gum, snus. Nowadays I take nicotine rarely, last week I took one 1 mg lozenge when I was writing. Nicotine does sometimes give me benefits like better focus. Nicotine also increases anxiety and heart rate for me even in low doses, so that is why I dont use it that much anymore..Concerta also increases nicotine cravings for many people including me. Many people with ADHD are smokers since that is how me/they self medicate ADHD. Nicotine does increase dopamine, helps memory and is viewed as brain nootropic. I have been wanting to do video about nicotine for a long time now, gotta do it sometime :)

@lilrebornandashtondrakecut8234 2 года назад
No we are not high... A.D.D is caused from a chemical imbalence in the brain and Concerta and other meds for it balences the chemicals for us so we can function normal. People that dont need it are the ones that may get some kind of a high. But when diagnosed from a profession it works just enough to help us be who we really are and aide us to reach our full potential. When the chemicals are imbalenced we truely struggle in a lot of areas. Besides, we are under doctor supervision in order to get this. I dont think a doctor will perscibe this to only get us high.
