CNC? Seems unreal that a person could have this kind of control over a lathe by hand. To make an air chuck fitting completely by hand? If that was truly done by hand with nothing but his eye as a guide, then the guy in the video can name his price to work at any metalworking/CNC/fabrication shop. Whether it was done old school or CNC, the skill, craftsmanship, and ingenuity are impressive.
@@Brian424 Craftsmanship? Hammering the valve shank in skew when it's literally in a lathe whose purpose is concentric work? That part was murder to watch. Drill the hole slightly undersize, chuck up the shank and feed it in for a light press fit. Using this method can produce a valve concentric enough to not need any secondary truing operation (although it is good practice to). That hammered fit can cause the seal to crack in no time. He would have to demonstrate that he can produce consistent parts to drawings and dimensions before any real machine shop hired him. There is a place for eyeballing and it is hobby work and art work.
It is always better to have the o-rings after the end of the threads in the tube. This is due to the hoop stress being twice the axial stress in the pressurised section. If the threaded section is at atmospheric pressure (i.e. after the o-ring) then it only sees axial stress which is the lower of the stresses. Since threading weakens the tube walls and creates stress risers, removing the hoop stress from the threaded section offsets the loss of strength. Isolating the threads from the pressure makes the design stronger (for the same tube) or lighter (able to use thinner tube for the same strength).

Mantap kali abang ini jago bener... Tapi kalo boleh saran buat tekanan tinggi seal di taro di posisi ujung dalam drat tabung supaya angin ga masuk area drat soal nya yang saya alamin meledak tabung bukan karna pecah tabung nya, tapi karna pemuaian drat tabung yang di sebabkan area drat terisi angin, drat ngegigit semakin tipis jebol lah drat dan lepas bagian tutup tabung depan.. dengan mengubah posisi seal tabung alhamdulillah sekarang aman main 4000psi.. Mempertaruhkan keselamatan untuk hobby... Kebanyakan shock depan motor materialnya pipa welded yg dipoles,lebih rawan pecah di bagian sambungan... Valve ledak penanya juga cuman ditusuk aja tanpa ulir, pdahal untuk membuka katup tekanan tinggi rawan jebol jadinya.... Selamat berkarya utamakan keselamatan... 👍👍✌
Hunter gendek yg pernah mencoba temboknya hancur di tekanan 4000 psi utung selesai pumping senapan diletakkan g lama meledak hati hati laha apalagi cm besi gmpang memuai

At 4000psi it is safe because the inside area of the cylinder is quite small, twice the cylinder diameter at that pressure, it would start to get dangerous.
