My 2022 Subaru has been through a lot of racing both on and off the track. It has been tuned for 36,000 miles. I am always amazed that people think Subarus are unreliable when my car has not skipped a beat. It has been incredibly reliable and a lot of fun to drive and race. The 2022 Subaru WRX is definitely one of the most reliable WRXs that I have seen. Time will really tell how far it will go. Whatever happens know that I will report on any engines and cars exploding!

Subaru should be giving channels like this one some sort of props because you're doing nothing but building confidence in this new platform for any weary buyers. Great videos as usual, man. I'm only at 12k on my 22 but its been a really great car.
@HeavyMetalWRX

I know dude It would be great for them to at least let me test drive the new cars when they come out. Subaru doesn't really like RU-vidrs that build cars because it shows the lack of appreciation for the warranty for dailies. Yet I know they run Subie fest so it's like they're always at odds with each other.

As of now its still stock but after watching this channel since i think January ive been tuned in (no pun intended) but i think in the famous words of Bruce Buffer ITS TIME to get a downpipe exhaust and a tune. Nothing major but something a bit more rowdy. I really appreciate you being honest and very upfront with everything and keeping us up to date with subaru/wrx news. I have about a 45 minute commute each way to work(more if I hit LA traffic) one of the main reasons I got the limited was the seats. They are great for daily and road trips and the material holds you in well. I also don’t mind the premium stereo and sunroof. Most complaints I hear about the car are the seats and stereo in the lower trims. Limited solves most people’s gripes.

Your ride is a testament to how much abuse the VB platform can handle. Granted driver skill and habits have a whole lot to do with it. Oh some info you guys might find informative. I had an oil analysis done and although the results came back great with almost no wear metals at 3400+ miles the 5w30 oils viscosity was reduced to 8.33 Centistokes @100 degrees C. Basically that means these engines are tough on oil and had sheared down 5W30 into the 0W20 range in 3400 miles. ETA- that viscosity was not the result of fuel dilution as the analysis found ZERO fuel in the sample.

Great video as always. I'm at 12k flawless miles running an E30 tune (DMann), ETS intake and AWE Touring exhaust + other little mods. There are only three things that will destroy a VB: 1. Lack of maintenance. 5k oil changes with the best oils you can buy. Pay attention to your AP, and monitor, monitor, monitor. Warm up to 90-100F oil, shut off only below 210F, if you can. 2. Launching. Turbo AWD cars (old school like the WRX) are notoriously the WORST drag racing cars. 1/2 time you win, 1/2 time you lose, 100% of the time you create lots of wear on your car! I just don't launch. I do spirtied 1st gears then punch in 2-3-4 when I have fun. I have probably 400 ft-lb of torque with my DMann tune, and I think I'd be dead before I hit the floor if I told my wife I needed a new clutch anytime before 50k miles!. 3. Not getting a tune to match mods. Lean = boom or banging the main bearing to death. Tunes are DIRT cheap, from Graham, Anthony and others. $150 goes a long way. $200 for an e-tune is even better. I LOVE the seats. You are a big guy. I'm a bit of a beanpole and any time I've ever used lumbar, I get a backache. We all have different anatomies and get comfortable as differently.
@HeavyMetalWRX
@HeavyMetalWRX Месяц назад

Literally the reasons I got a VB (my 1st Subie ever) was for practicality with the 4 doors, and safety with the symmetrical all wheel drive system, all without compromising too much for fun on the road thanks to the turbocharged engine and 6-speed STI short shifter... definitely removed any tiny trace of buyer's remorse with this video, brotha 😀👍🏻

Does anyone know of any FA24DIT (FA24F) motors that have had rod knock (spun bearing)? I've tried to do a little google'n and could not come up with anything. I have seen some of the NA FA24D (BRZ, 86, etc) that have had issues, but my understanding is the FA24F has different internals compared to the NA version. (I cannot personally confirm this, 'hearsay') I'm sure there are some FA24F that have had uncle rodney. Just can't find too much info on it.. Which is a good this for us VB owners. 🤙

I may talk a lot of smack about VB, but it's purely from lack of STi. But I'm just waiting until when the last iteration of the VB comes out, knowing that this will be the last of its kind. Meh, perhaps tS could be the last... but what else will come out year after? I'm already ready to buy this car and live with it, but waiting still.
