Fresh 406 sbc the I rebuilt by myself (first one) is in the truck along with Nv4500 5 speed manual trans. Also added 83-84 Chevy quad headlight front end.
Q-jet?! Not used too often anymore but definitely a nice carb if calibrated correctly 🤙 Edit its funny how unforgiving brake fluid is as it's the only fluid that goes in your car the is water soluble. As long as you hit it fast it washes right off but left for a bit a the paint is ruined.
Nice truck! What year truck is the trans from? Also, sounds like it's not firing on all cylinders. Maybe firing order is off or rockers not adjusted correctly. Could be just a crazy cam
Awesome truck man….. I picked up a sbc 400 from a family member and i had an early nv4500 laying around. Was gonna put it in my 80 k10 but I’m thinking of sticking it in my 91 suburban. The 400 is gonna get a pro flow fuel injection and get rid off my factory tbi. How does it drive down the highway with that early 4500? I have 4:10 in my burn with 3/4 ton axles. 10 bolt front and 14bff rear…. Interested in maybe a video of it driving. Hope to see it again soon. It’s an awesome truck my friend
@@billknepfel not trying to make a mud bogger or heavy hauler. Keep my 350 between 1800-2000 rpm at 75 for a good highway driver. I usually haule a small car and my kids from Kansas to New York and back for my leave. Go fishing so I don’t need step gears……
