@@richardteresacricheducatio3542where exactly are y’all located and how much does a rebuild like this go for. My 3rd gear grinds unless you double clutch or float it goin in and it is difficult to even get the truck into gear sometimes. As well as 4gear makes a scratching noice while getting up to speed.
@@richardteresacricheducatio3542 I have a 96 dodge ram 3500 with the same nv4500 2wd trans had it built with new main shaft about 25k ago shop but the wrong fluid in it! And I put about 100 miles on it before i caught it 3rd gear has always grind since.. what’s a good rebuild kit to go with ? I’m really wanting to pull and just build it at my shop..
Woah, I thought I'd never see this guy again. I'm glad their channel found me. It was just sitting over there in my recommended section and I clicked so damn fast🤣🤣
Been missing you Richard!!! Thought the worst when videos stopped but glad to see all is well and drama free. Seems like kids these days gotta learn the hard way, hope he grows up before too long.
@@teamgrizzly2859 Trent (Richard's son) started the old RU-vid channel and Richard got greedy and wanted all the money for himself. So he fired Trent and now Richard has everything he wanted. His shop and RU-vid
went to Roswell last month for a new great grand daughter, asked google maps for directions to Precision trans in Amarillo, said permanently closed, so disappointed I didnt get to meet you. Been a mechanic since 1970, still work at home on church friends cars since i retired, put i a bendpak 10k lift at home. Keep on keeping on and God bless you and wife. Praying for you and shoulders, i had rotator cuff surgery on both. Now can do most anything within reason Keep the faith Richard!
great to see you back; this brought back memories of 1972 when i was young n foolish and dove into a Muncie 4 with a Motor Manual and a carton of Chevy parts and with the help of wifes oven and the freezer and a block of 2x4 rebuilt it,, dang input shaft needle bearing had me swearing!! but, thats how ya learn,,😆 cool to see that monster bucket of steel, had to be a chore with you shoulder..
Richard I'm 74. Spent 3 months to the end of Nov last year converting my 01 2WD Cummins Ram to 4WD. Swap frame, tear down NV4500, and tore apart two transfer cases to swap shafts. Then rebuild the front axle. That NV was the hardest thing I've ever done. HEAVY.
So good to have Richard and Teresa back! Made my week🤙 This is Gill from Washington, you rebuilt my big, blue Roadmaster Wagon 4L60E last year and I gave you the Steve Morris "The Wagon" shirt. Let's see it!😁👍 Any chance you can upload the rebuild vid of my tranny? Still running fantastic. Definitely SUBSCRIBED!
First time viewer! The shim rings between the 5th gear and bearing at 11:17 are to properly space the bearing so the gears have the right amount of play/tolerance in the trans :)
Glad to see you putting videos back up. Missed watching you spread your wealth of knowledge. Best of luck to Teresa and you on the new venture! Be Safe!
Seems like there was some drama between you and the kid there at the end of the last channel. Glad I found your new channel. You’ve helped me out more than a few times digging into some 4l80’s and 4l60’s. Very Knowledgeable.
I just found this channel after missing the Precision Transmission channel. So excited to see videos coming again! Good to see the two of you back again! You were missed until now.
It’s fantastic to see you back, I really love watching your videos and have learned a lot from you. You have a wealth of experience and knowledge that not many people are willing to share. I hope this is the start of more good things to come.
So happy to see you are back . Being a truck driver for a living you have helped me pass a lot of down time waiting . I hope all is good with the family ❤
Richard! So good to see you back in front of the camera! It took RU-vid 4 months to get you into my feed. I'm so excited to see you share your knowledge. Don't be afraid to cover stuff you had on the old channel. Even after watching as many of your 4l60 tear downs, I am still riveted by your presentations. Glad you're back!
Richard & Teresa, so very happy to see you folks back on here. Have been missing That voice talking about Transmissions!!!! Much Love and respect from Galveston!!!
Just found you again tonight. Glad to see you back Richard. I have learned a lot from you & look forward to learning more, even at 68 yrs old. Nice to hear your voice Theresa & to see Annie.
Wish you would show the puller setup on the 3-4 synchro hub. The Dodge book shows nothing. I purpously ended up possibly warping the hub removing it rather than endanger 3rd gear. It was TIGHT!! I have a 04 GMC and manual, the book has NOTHING on the teardown of a 4500!!! On mine, none of the Timken bearings were "finger pull." I was lucky to find 2X of the jaws of the special pullers on ebay cheap, and built the rest
Thank yall both for your efforts in educating anyone willing to learn about these great trucks and transmissions. Some of us have no choice but to work on our own vehicles especially in this economy. It really helps to have solid information
Great to see the both of you, hope your new channel, work shop works out,I’m over the pond, but your videos are so informative, and this time try not to splash the wife,we all wish you all the very best.
