Tracks used are several Imperial Guard themes from the Dawn of War and Dawn of War 2 Retribution soundtracks, as well as the opening theme from Red Alert 3 Uprising, and Red Rock from the Red Alert 3 soundtrack, also Soldiers' Chant from the Rome: Total War soundtrack, and the original Tetris theme. I don't own the rights to these tracks. Expect a Part 4 containing most of the rest of the notable Imperial Guard regiments in the 40K universe! Sequel to Part 1 (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_dApwPVr5cM.html) and Part 2 (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RrGAducN6nA.html). Again i won't pretend to know the lore, it's all here wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Main_Page.
Could you draw Lucifer blacks ? They are a very interesting regiment that guards the imperial palace alongside the custodes. They are canon but there is only a description of them no official art as of yet.
@Cappald Unfortunately even the Chapters they have released modifications for are fairly lack luster and dont make them look especially different. If you want to use a GW product to make a Dark Angel or Black Templar, ur best bet is to just kitbash with Stormcast Eternals.
How to make your own IG Regiment: 1. Choose any army from history or from your favorite franchise. 2. Give their uniform/armor some two headed eagle and/or skull decorations 3. Give them a lasgun 4. Come up with a cool name. Maybe even a backstory if you feel like it. Done.
Giant emu riding tropical commandos wearing slouch hats Yugoslav and Balkan inspired regiments specialized on urban warfare and resistance surpression, imagine the combined might of Yugoslavian civil war war songs
1) A Guard Regiment that better resembles an angry mob mixed with Battlefield Salvage Crews 2) Standard Cadian Kits, as they are hilariously common throughout the Imperium. 3) The lasguns themselves get replaced every 10,000 shots or when needed. 4) 1st Arcadian Remnant Volunteers, aka the 82nd Slapdash Regiment (They recruit from decimated regiments, former conscripts/penal units, and genuine volunteers, and build from there).
Me watching these videos: "Hey, some of the regimental designs are really interesting and innovative! GW, what sort of IG units do yo--" Games Workshop: "CADIAN! ALWAYS CADIAN! NOTHING *BUT* CADIAN!"
This is why I love the Imperium of Man. It's armies, including the Space Marines Chapters, are based off of various human militaries from various empires throughout all of human history.
I am clad in ceramite plate that rivals a Leman Russ. My guns are blessed by the Emperor, and my mind and body are sculpted for war. My thoughts are devoted. I have 22 organs within me, designed to help me annihilate His foes- the traitor, the xeno, the heretic. I am a member of the Adeptus Astartes, but I am not as impressive as a Guardsman's devotion. The Guardsman is a single cog, forgettable as a raindrop, and yet with the rest of their Regiment, they form the storm that washes away the enemy. They have not the weapons nor the armor of a Space Marine, but they have their devotion to duty. I admire the Guard, because they are only Human, and they still face Death and spit in his face.
Man it's amazing how I originally thought the others were like fanon guards but I'm decently surprised that all of these seem to be canon, albeit extremely obscure
I completely forgot just how diverse the guards are. Thank you for reminding me of these brave men. Who once was or still fighting in my name... Still missed those mountain men my hatred towards the Tau is now has risen
Very nice. I need something for my own regiments, the Exiled Battalions of Gallus Prime. Space zouaves with sword bayonets. Fantastic facial hair as well.
Im really really tempted to try and use CAD to make some Ghulag 97 bits. Some K6-3 helmets, SVD style long las, that sort of thing. Wonder how it would go over. Probably poorly haha.
This only goes to show the depth and variety that the imperial guard has in 40k, now if only GW could see past shiny new Primaris for two seconds and grant just some of that variety, that and maybe not criminalize us for doing it ourselves because they wont...
Well it's like what soldiers of all nations and times have done, personalising their gear in some small way, so as to gain a measure of courage during battle
This series is fantastic. Now I want to build and paint one display model from each regiment. *sigh* One moar thing to add to my ever-growing list of future projects.
The tempestus scions are basically like the astartes just the same shit with different color. With the occasional berets. I don't think the tempestus scions would be interesting
Damn. I get why so many unique models, plus diverse options, plus different poses etc would be so hard to produce and sell from gw. That kinda only leaves kitbashing. Also at the 3rd video being like "there is another one?!?"
I wish I wasn't already 100 guys into kitbashing Cadians into my own regiment, or else I'd restart with the Teutons. I'm making basically Space Prussia, so maybe I'll try and fiddle some veterans out of Valhallans or something.
Love yout videos! Keep them going! I know most of these rrgiments but i ve almost never found info on their armor /equipment. Did you find all the details on the lexicanum?
Ironically, their Flak Armor is absolutely fantastic.... by our standards. Flak Armour is bulletproof. Like, a Desert Eagle round at point-blank would deflect. Real shame the other guys have Railguns, Automatic APRPG launchers and Acid guns.
I am genuinely curious where all these regiments are from, like, what books, games, comics, etc have they shown up in? Also, I like the Warhounds. It isn't a complete Expy and looks practical, like a good Guard regiment should.
Imagine a world where....90% of Imperial Guardsman shown are these guys instead of *CADIAN CADIAN CADIAN* I've never even heard of 95% of these guys! And most of them are cool as fuck!
DOPE! Out of curiosity, where did you find these regiments and the info on them? A ton of the wiki type pages relating to obscure guard regiments are just straight up blank, and Ive been looking for some inspiration for custom guard bits to make!
@@foojer Well Im over here rolling regiments from the old custom regiment tables, so I guess ill have to dig deeper for this sort of thing! Anyways, thank you for these videos, they are super cool and always well done! As an aside, have you considered doing traitor guard? Some really cool regiments there!
If we do get a Dow IV it's likely with the modern market theres probs gonna be loot boxes in there. Lets just hope they're cosmetic and we get all these sick guard regiments in them
God I fucking love ANZACs they are so fuckin cool. What’s odd is that slouch hats are normal to their uniform. So there’s two Anzac sort of divisions why give one slouch hats and the others none? It’s just a weird nit pick.
