I like these kind of videos but it's actually rare to have new information once you watch a few of them . But I learned so much from this video! Thank you, I desperately needed the game board tip!!!
Thank you for so many wonderful ideas! Just a suggestion for the critics. If you don’t like an idea, don’t use it. It truly isn’t necessary to inform the person how much you don’t appreciate the thought. Good grief! What is wrong with people?
@@julesgainey9677 That’s the silliest comment I’ve ever seen. Random person walking through the park talking with a friend. Stranger approaches “That’s stupid, stupid, stupid!” Crowd or individual “Why don’t you mind your own business.” There is a difference between bad judgment and good judgment.
The ol' Napoleon Complex. Listen to me darn't, while stumping foot. Probably no one listen, as the person usually has an opinion on everything. No one cares. God bless.
Silver trays in a bathroom is a little odd but also will cause them to tarnish super fast. Also, no onions stored with potatoes.... it’ll cause the potatoes to sprout.
Many useful ideas & reminders! Thank you! Why viewers so critical? Use what you can, leave the rest for others! Clutter is a verb & a noun: 1. v. being in a disorganized state, 'The room is cluttered. You cluttered the room.' 2. n. things no longer of use to someone, 'Maybe someone else can use my clutter.' Point? Yes, to declutter is to organize, hence, buying or making things to store better. Yes, to declutter is to get rid of things, hence, charity, yard sale, etc. Sometimes everyone CAN be right, so why insult if you disagree, esp when you dont know that YOU just dont know? She credited origin so whats wrong with passing what you learned from others? Its called teaching & sharing. USA patent office has many great minds show up with same great idea. Did they lift, or just simply think alike? Glad for comments not to store potatoes & onion nearby.
Thank you for putting this together. My husband bought a Mini Winnie which is a mini Winnebago. The difference between this 5th wheel and others is that is is narrower than others. I found that there wasn't nearly enough closet space, so I decided to use a vertical closet organizer. Since you rarely dress up in fancy clothes when you're rv'ing or camping, it was much easier. The difference was that I purchahsed a stack of clear shoe boxes and removed the lids. Now I was able to fill the boxes with rolled t-shirts, shorts, leggings, undies, socks and jammie-wear. I even had one of the shoeboxes for my feminine products. This was like a makeshift mini dresser and it freed up the main closet for coats and a plastic 3-drawer storage unit that we used for kitchen towels and other kitchen sundry items. And because we are getting older and it's very difficult to get up and down off the floor, I had my husband install a rolling under cabinet basket for pots and pans. This made it much easieri to get things out and put them back again without injuring our knees.
Great ideas. Thanks. I love the idea with the board games. I bet they will get played more often stored that way. OMG!!! So many favs .... doing a renovation project and many of these will make great finishing touches!!
I bought an antique metal food panty cabinet to store games and puzzles. I had so many! But now, when buying new games, I pick out older games no one plays, and donate it to create space. I reserve one shelf for crayons and coloring books of all sorts kids-adults. It’s neat and clean. I observe a ‘big in, bag out’ policy.
Another tip for your grocery list is to use a highlighter pen to cross off your food itmes you have put in your cart. This way it's easier to see the item that is crossed off
If you can download the free Flipp App in your phone you can add the items in the List section. It'll organize it automatically for you into categories and you can delete the item as you put it in your cart and display what you still need to pick up.
Cover the toilet paper roll with contact paper to make it last longer and look nice. Cut CP 1/2 inch longer on each end and then cut slits in extra CP toward the tube 1/4 inch apart. Fold the CP over the end of the tube to make it look neater. If you don't want to go through all the trouble, at LEAST remove the remaining TP left on the tube.
I'm so with you on not using plastic wrap. Also thanks for the pallet for storing long-handle garden tools. Not so much on using wipes, but I agree, Kon-Mari folding, no other way!
Potatoes only turn green when still in the ground but are partially exposed to sunlight. Solanine is the green and only if eaten in LARGE quantities it would be unhealthy for you. I've stored potatoes in lighted areas and in the dark and have never gotten green potatoes from storing them that way. They will sprout if you keep them too long. Some people store them in the refrigerator but that changes the sugar/starch composition eventually, use quickly, don't store very long. Just peel the green off before you eat them and if they still taste bitter do NOT eat the potatoes.
I enjoyed your video. Your truly BRILLIANT! I’m going to take advantage now that I know a few tricks in hiding cords and placing the potatoes & onions away... Ufff! That’s just the beginning... Thank you very much!!!❤️
Brilliant organizing and storage ideas. I'm wondering if I can swap out the game boards for my children's poster size artwork that I saved and have stored away in archival boxes.
The internet router needs to have the heat vent unobstructed and NOT covered. Otherwise, you will ruin it...or start a fire. Shoving it and the cords into that enclosed magazine organizer is a bad idea.
Exactly, You're better off securing it to the underside of the desk if it's that big of a deal. Get a wire basket to hang underneath out of sight or just use double sided tape.
Excellent Video! Forgive me for the intrusion, I am interested in your opinion. Have you thought about - Mahorrla Control Clutter Method (do a google search)? It is a great one off guide for decluttering your home minus the hard work. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my best friend Jordan at very last got excellent success with it.
Omg. Thank you. I like the ottoman organization...I use an Amish made toy box for winter hat, gloves, scarves, but it’s always like a tossed salad. I will now go buy individual baskets to put gloves and hats in, and the rest of space use for scarves. *jots down on grocery list
sounds way too much like a computer generated voice with the way she pronounced a lot of the words. i found it irritating since she was obviously not a computer.
I keep having to go up and down stairs to get things?? Tired me out. Cant put baskets on stairs or i will fall. Another idea on that ? Ty. I love your helpful ideas thanks!
Yes, these are organising tips but not decluttering. Love this one: Cover an empty soda can box with contact or wrapping paper. Wouldn't it be better to just get rid of an empty soda can box?
I consider disorganisation in the home to be clutter as items are hanging around and making a mess. Once you have put everything away neatly (or rid yourself of unwanted items and rubbish if this applies to you) it is no longer clutter, your home looks neat and orderly with needed things at your fingertips. I know this because I have been disorganised with clutter building up in rooms. Organising the clutter and putting neatly away and accessible makes life a dream come true💖
@@hummingbirdcity fridge packs aew designed to sit perfectly I'm the fridge and work as a dispenser. Why would I want to take them out and put them on a shelf (where they may or may not stay in a straight line) and then have ro reach all way to the back? Heck, until they are half gone, there is always a soda right up front.
6:20 has me a little bit upset that I have a finished garage. Damn. I was actually excited and thinking about going tomorrow to get some tension rods for that too. Then realized that I don't have exposed studs in the garage!
Any tips for guys?! My girlfriend and her mom are slobs and we all live in a tiny apartment. Sorry but I can't hang with some of these frufru tips, especially seeing as I'm the one constantly cleaning and organizing!
Get some over the door shoe organizers. You can hang them and put anything away, out of sight. Cleaning supplies is mostly what I use it for but my sister uses hers in the baby's room for powder, wipes, booties, etc. Great for the bathroom. Hope that helps you!
Have you checked out Clutterbug? Cas has outlined 4 styles of organising. Sounds like there are different styles in your apartment. If you know what you are working with you might have some more success.
Love that the third pick shows the top bucket decked out with a pumpkin and... hay? Who accidentally leaves a pumpkin and a armful of hay laying around, and how is it decluttering the house to take it upstairs with you?
J S I totally agree. I clean someone’s house & the husband has Parkinson’s. He can be a bit unsteady on his feet. They have a basket on the bottom of the stairs & it always makes me cringe in case he falls on the stairs.
If it is always there and part of a system, then there is very little to no risk. It is more coming downstairs in the dark and stepping on a ball orLego that is dangerous. Rails are helpful too in deciding if this works for your family or not.
the only thing is....it is a good idea yet it will cost me more to buy new shoes to get the shoe boxes instead of cheap dividers. havn't bought new shoes in a very long time and they are not just hanging around
I was thinking much the same-I own a grand total of 3 pairs of shoes: 2 pairs of Dr. Martens (1 boots, 1 shoes) of which I've owned since 2004 (& which are still in good nick), 1 pair of Teva sandals which I bought nearly 2 years ago as a replacement for a pair of thongs (because my doctor was concerned I needed better foot support from my sandals). Any other box that comes into the house typically spends about a week to a month as a cat toy, then goes to the recycle bin.
I just go into shoe stores and ask for their spare shoe boxes, they're free, have come away with loads before. Use them as dividers for my t-shirts in my chest of drawers.
