Another High End Build, nice job Jacob. I would like to see a NA carb and distributor drive, LS build. Actually been wanting one for a while. 440ci , your 11° heads, solid roller with CID intake and spec carb Q16. Thanks

How about dynoing a 11.1 NA 427 LS with 233 259 cam I would like to see what this is capable of with multi pulls and good fine tuning.

Very Very nice. Would like to see a NA 427 with 12:1 build. I'm contemplating buying a shortblock, from Smeding to use with LS7 style heads. I'm not sure if the pistons you use will clear the LS7 2.200 valves. Oh, and it's gonna be a LLSR. Should make for a pretty nasty street motor. I agree with one comment below, a 427 needs a bigger valve. That's why the LS7 makes good power stock and H/C/I builds. 620-650whp all day long.

What's a complete engine like this worth if you don't mind me asking with say a 11.5 to 1 comp that would be ran NA as we have shitty gas in New Zealand. No E85 at pump anymore since covid.

why cant this cam work well in na state of the motor? is there too much overlap for na so that only pressurized conditions (boost) can actually take advantage of it??? its an honest question im just trying to learn smthing

Hey Jacob, can you post what the 'Advertised Duration' numbers are for the 500HP (.525/.525 Lift, 225/236 Duration @ .050”, 110 LSA) and 600HP (.612/.612 Lift, 236/246 Duration @ .050”, 110 LSA) Camshafts that are offered as options on the LS 416 listing on the Smedding Website if you don't mind ? I just want a rough idea of how aggressive the Cam Lobes are by calculating the ADV:@.050" Duration Ratios. Thanks in advance.

Mind sharing the king xp main bearing kits you guys run on the dart blocks? Do y’all run standard or the .001” overs?

I'm am looking to build a 600hp engine for a 2005 Silverado HD. It's currently a 6.0. I want to run pump gas. How would you go about achieving this. Looking to make the power between 2500 and 6000. Also if possible would like to make 600 footpunds of torque.

It would have been good if the blower was on but nice power

2.165 valves on a 427’ don’t help either 🥴

Are you saying that’s too small? What are you saying?
@randybdis
@randybdis Год назад
@@baby-sharkgto4902 choking up the power. 2.165 are OEM LS3 sizing OEM, LS7 are 2.200, serious LS7 aftermarket castings are 2.250

@@randybdis ok. *this* engine would not gain anything from a larger valve
@andrewcammer2535
@andrewcammer2535 Год назад
Agree - this much displacement would benefit from the larger port and valve of an LS7 head. Never know all the reasons a combo ends up the way it does - should rip regardless with a 2650 cramming it full of air.
@randybdis
@randybdis Год назад
@@baby-sharkgto4902 This Engine will Benefit Greatly through the Entire Power Band from a CID, mast, or Frankenstein headed LS3 with Larger Valves 2.200 or 2.250 valves. Why spend big Bucks on a bad ass Short block and then slap some China LS3 heads on it.

Hey if I send you my crankshaft can u balance it to my rods
@baylymiley

Awesome, I'm not sure how they expect the factory ECU to keep up with the fueling requirments but I guess that's what scaling is for. On a unrelated topic can someone tell me the difference between an LS and SBC aftermarket Eagle Rod? I have a set of rods with no markings wondering if I can measure or look for something.
@taylorsrus9543
@taylorsrus9543 Год назад
Factory computer can handle this easily. This isnt a radical build. On the rods the LS is probably longer at 6.125 vs the sbc at 6.0
@baylymiley
@baylymiley Год назад
@@taylorsrus9543 Yeah looks like the easiest laymans way is to throw some bearings in them run them side by side on a crank.
