Direct from West End rehearsals, check out the Opening Number from 42ND STREET, the "Audition" dance! Coming to London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane from 20 March: www.LOVEtheatre.com/tickets/50...
@@cameronfield4617 you’re right! When I did this show it was in HS but our director was also a Broadway member who did this show. And we were required to do 1 year of tap and jazz training for this particular show, it was our senior show and our application show for college. So she went hard. As the opening number we ROCKED IT. But many of us had never done tap. Just jazz and basic dance classes. The first time I did this dance I realized how out of shape I was. lol I was 17 but I can gladly say it was my favor dance to date! And I’m 31 lol
Its crazy how in this clip when they are saying the "1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8" part you can hear the British accent but on the actual performance it sounds more American English. The power of voice acting as well as incredible breath support cause phew
What on earth was going on with the camera there? You could get motion sickness watching this video. Not me, obviously, I'm hardcore. But other people. Sensitive types. Excuse me, gotta run.
Looks like it's a post-production steady cam effect (possibly Adobe's subspace warp?) It seems to be trying to keep faces in the same space as far as possible, then giving up after half a second.
Where can I find a tutorial on the last time step after the triple; wing time step. I keep finding different versions which is super frustrating. I need this version. Bueller?
It’s: spank hop shuffle step, falap spank ball change. :) as you falap with the opposite foot, bring your other foot out, then spank it back in and ball change. (Ex: you start on your right. Spank hop shuffle step, falap with your left foot and your right foot goes out to the side simultaneously, then spank it back in and ball change with your left!) I hope this helps!
…hmm. There’s at least one black girl in the cast here. Why didn’t she make it into the filmed version? Did someone decide to do a little whitewashing for the filmed version?
