***** No one would ever expect it. JJ Jameson criticizes spiderman. Demands to know who's under the mask! Little do the citizens of New York know that he's actually judging his own mistakes. That's heroic conflict right there
Cossi09 Why not have a Civil War movie with everybody played by J.K Simmons? Or, better yet, a Civil War movie with one side played by J.K Simmons and the other side played by Gary Oldman?
You know, I hate the latest Amazing Spiderman films, but that last comic frame you had when Spidey was revealing himself to the public in Civil War, looks a fair amount like Andrew Garfield. Peter Parker has never actually _looked_ all that geeky at all. At least, most depictions of him don't, I suppose we can't forget the old horn rim glasses look.
I thought the exact same thing, it's a shame, Garfield is spiderman, he looks like him, played the role perfectly, the amazing spiderman films weren't great, not the second anyways, but the casting was on point.
Zedek That panel actually tends to be my personal analog for finding a Spider-man actor, and personally, yes I know he wants to be Wolverine, Taron Egerton has been the closest i've found to looking like that panel and i thimk he would've been great for it
Had to google who that was because I don't keep up with up and coming teenage stars but one of the first things I got was him doing spider-man stunt-flips, and to my knowledge neither Toby or Garfield could flip. Spider-man however, is a character known for "doing a flip" so I like the new kid.
Diego Sosa He gets beheaded. Then he is impaled, then he is frozen to death, then he gets sliced, then he falls down a hole, then he dies from old age, then he is shot.
Feel sorry for Maguire. People complain Garfield looks too pretty (which he does), saying Peter Parker should look more average and awkward. Yet here comes Maguire with the most average face imaginable, completely what the role calls for, and everyone criticizes him for it. I don't get it.
+Sams ChanneI Sorry, I know this is an old post but I actually don't think Garfield is too pretty. Peter Parker in the comics is not ugly. It was his intelligence and lack of social skills that made him lonely in high school. Once he gained his powers and his confidence grew as a result he even had a shot with Liz Allen who was considered the most beautiful girl in his school. That wouldn't have happened if he was just "average looking".
+Spike Powers He was almost Batman in Tim Burton's movie. He could have pulled off a nice Spider-Man at the time, but now, I think he would be great as J. Jonah Jameson.
"If it does crash and burn, well, I dunno, just make a new series or whatever; I don't give a shit." That shit right there is why you have my sub. Seriously though, you're one of my favorite RU-vid channels. Keep up the the good work! Or don't, I don't give a shit.
Peter Parker: JJJ is using me and I'm the fool. Harry Osborne: how much he paying you. Peter: I can't tell you, it's confidential, anyways how your sex life. Harry: .... Peter: oh hi Harry.
Easily your funniest video yet! I just love the dry, sarcastic humour. When you cut back from Joe's interview & straight into "Tobey Frogface Maguire nearly lost the role..", I laughed so much I spat a mouthful of coffee all over the place!! Bravo my man, bravo.
Abel Rivera I too wanted Dylan O'Brien for the role when him and Logan Lerman were being rumored after Marvel and Sony first made the deal. But Tom Holland has already been confirmed and cast by Marvel so there's nothing we can do about it. 😭 Though from the last few that were under consideration before Tom was chosen, I REALLY want Charlie Rowe to get it.
ahmed king I agree he would suit the role well, but we've kind of already seen a lot of him and his funny teen routine, I am looking forward to seeing something new
i think scarlett johansson should be spiderman, but this version of spiderman has a see-through suit, and all we see her do is jump up and down for the duration of the film (which honestly , only has to last 20 seconds) it'll win all the oscars, grammies, tonies and pasghettis
I know Dylan O'Brien would've made a fantastic Spider-Man, but I think he'd also be a great Harry Osborne/Green Goblin. If anyone has seen season three of Teen Wolf, you know he'd be a great villain.
Everyone should take a look at the IMDB Civil War character list! There's a lot "funeral-goers," suggesting someone WILL DIE just like in the comics, but obviously not the same person. There's also some other pedestrians that suggest locations in the movie such as London and Nigeria.
Stan Lee has been confirmed to play Uncle Ben. He will appear to Peter in a almost Jedi ghost way during the film. Marvel announced it via twitter recently.
Since everyone in this movie is a baby... Bella Thorne as Mary Jane Chloe Grace Moretz as Gwen Stacy Zendaya as Felicia Hardy...idk she's the only baby that fits the bill, she looks like a super model and she's only like 17 or something.
I hope in Civil War that there is a scene where Iron man and Cap meet Spider-Man and they are all talking about superhero stuffs when Spidey starts talking about the invasion of New York and how he was fighting aliens while Tony and Steve are looking at each other all confused like "wait, was he there during the fight?" And then they start asking the other avengers if they saw a kid in red and blue punching aliens. And the whole movie Spider-Man is trying to prove to them that he was there the whole time, and everyone keeps shrugging it of like "yeah, you wish kid"
BEST TWIST EVER: Imagine if we were all watching Civil War, whenever it gets to the scene were Spiderman reveals his identity to the world. Instead of it being Tom Holland, it is no one other than TOBEY MAGUIRE! 😈 No jokes, I'd cry my eyes out of joy if he came back sense the earlier films being my entire childhood.
You're not alone, I've got a friend who loves them all, personally I loved the first 2, wasn't really a fan of the third, loved the 2 TASM movies, heck, I even love the 70s Spidey with Nicholas Hammond.
Dacien Goggins You may be in the minority, but hey, Spider-Man 3's my favorite Spider-Man movie.. of all time, you know. So, if there's someone REALLY in the minority, it's me.
DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuDE! I just revisited your Spiderverse idea video. They took your idea! Kinda, I think this may be a "Once upon a Deadpool" scenario. Still, you deserve some dollary-doos for that solid prediction.
Great video as always. Would love more videos from the podcast stuff though, the recent one about entourage was hilarious! 'Dickheads being dickheads and everything works out. That's pretty much every entourage episode' (paraphrasing) :D
Disney XD's Pair of Kings actor Ryan Ochoa also auditioned for the current Marvel/Sony Spider-Man role. I for one think he would have been an outstanding choice.
This video could really use some Nick Mason voicing his Tom Holland(ish) character. Preferably without introduction or context, at numerous intervals throughout the video, and without acknowledging how bizarre it would be for anyone who doesn't understand the origin.
Here's a suggestion... I think Nat Wolff would have made a great Spiderman! I know he's slightly older than what Marvel were looking for, but he looks younger than his age. And movies like Paper Towns and Stuck in Love prove he can really nail that awkwardly humorous attitude that is essential to Spidey/ Peter Parker. Plus... he literally looks like how Peter Parker is drawn!
It would have been perfect if you played the scene from Spider-Man 2 where peter Parker falls off the roof into the car when you said Toby Maguire had a back injury
Sadly Spider-Man will only cameo in Cap 3 most likely as either the iconic conference scene with Stark or in a post-credits scene most likely involving J.K. Simmons reprising his famous role as J. Jonah Jameson himself.
Super surprised to see that J.K. Simmons' name hasn't been mentioned in the running for the latest incarnation of Spider-Man. Or J. Jonah Jameson. Or Uncle Ben. Or literally the rest of the entire cast, including the Avengers, assuming they're all going to want to move on to other projects after Infinity War.
The picture you posted of Peter Parker almost completely matches Andrew Gardield? You mean to tell me that he looked to cool to be Peter Parker? That image at 5:21 is freakin model status. Even for a comic book!
I have no idea what this kid's acting ability is like, but he looks exactly Peter Parker is drawn. Hell, his eyes are the right color, as is his hair.(it's even wavy like Peter's)
Jake Gyllenhaal as an amazing actor he is would have been an AMAZING Spider-man (no pun intended). His role in "Nightcrawler" was phenomenal so I would have been curious to see him as a superhero character.
I honestly would have liked to see Charlie Rowe more but I feel like Holland can do well and I'll be putting my faith in him. Let's hope he can give us an equally good Peter and Spider-Man because Tobey was great for Peter but ok as Spider-Man and Andrew wasn't that great for Peter but a good Spider-Man.
I really wanted Dylan O'Brien for the role, but I'm excited for Tom Holland, especially considering he's an actual teenager, and because he's probably pretty good if he screen tested well with both Downey and Evans.
I wanted Dylan O'Brien...but i guess thats a no....damn...hes nerdy, yet hot...goofy, can pull fight scenes, convincible cries, can look evil....hes great...oh well
