interesting discovery ,I had the chassis of my RPRR ceracoated ,when I reassembled the rifle I found that all the slop in mag release mechanism and the mag were totally eliminated ,the thin layer of ceracoat was just enough to take up all the slop in the mechanism , big improvement all round .not everyone wants to ceracoat their new rifle , but it worked for me

It's a nice platform. I feel the furniture has a bit too much flex, and the machining work suffered as Ruger tried to keep up with initial demand. Overall, I feel that the rifle is sound, and we'll see it really come into it's own as a precision platform. It's been a fun yet frustrating time fitting a solution to what has seemed to be a bit of a moving target that is the RPRR. I'm fairly certain we've got it now. Time will tell.

@@47productsllc78 its even more of a problem with a real match chambered barrel i have a er shaw on mine and it makes most of the problems worse.....i have had to come up with a way of getting the round out of the mag sooner than stock....if you file back sum of the lips in a special way you can get the round to jump up in to the bolt face and be held straight in to the chamber when running the bolt slow.....with no marks but wont kick last round out so i use a dummy in place of the last round....this is not a good fix as why i have not made a video on it yet... i hope to get a mag fix nailed down and a titanium firing pin built...all in good time hope your sled comes out soon!

Interesting concept for a rim fire and feeding consistency. My field target .177 PCPs (BSA R10, Umarex Gauntlet) both use a rotary mag and a single shot tray. I get much better accuracy with a single shot tray.

A very good idea. I love single shot rifles have been looking for a 22Mag. for years, found one in a pawn shop the owner would not give me a price, went in one day and it was gone. If you ever make some of these for the 22 mag. I will buy one no matter the price.

I seen a few RU-vid comments about the feeding problems with the ruger precision rimfire using the bx15 mag. I shoots only cci subsonic. It's probably 600 rounds from new, maybe more. The gun is about 3 months old. I haven't experience feeding issue. It does wiggle a bit tho. I would be interested in trying out your invention. Thanks for making this video👍

The ruger precision rimfire is my favorite gun i own. I try to get to the range 3 times a month. I would love to test this product. I shoot at 100 yards and shoot for sub moa groups with bulk ammo. I would be happy to pay shipping to try this product. I have heard from several people, about the scarring on the first few rounds in the higher capacity magazines.

My suggestion for the RPR in .22 feeding issue my suggestion being a owner of both RPR in .22Lr & 6.5 creedmoor is too send it too ruger or your local gunsmith they can fix the chassis instead of messing with the mags👍🏽

Even with perfect lockup, I love shooting off a sled. Any time I'm shooting off a bench, I'm shooting off a sled. I don't feed mags. It's just more efficient and, my experience shows, there are fewer flyers. I attribute this to it being easier on the round so fewer mars on the bullet face, but I've got nothing buy my own targets to go by. Elfsters Rifles and Reloading did a video where he tested too. I'd invite others that have them to share their results.

Elfster's Rifles and Reloading went the opposite direction and built up the back of his magazine. I'd suggest people check out his videos on the RPRR. He even does a video with my sleds where he tests how it changes his group results. It's a good video showing how the sled doesn't close up the group, but it helps to eliminate fliers.

My rimfire RPR had horrible mag “wobble”, I replaced the mag release spring with a much stiffer spring and problem solved. I believe KIDD makes a stiffer spring.
@47productsllc78
@47productsllc78 4 года назад
I've heard that people have done that. Did you get an extended mag release arm to go with it too? If not, how stiff is the mag release with the stronger spring? Personally, for me the mag fitment issues is just one reason I use the trays. More than that, it's just convenient for shooting. I'll stay in the glass and shoot without having to stop to reload mags. Pretty much any time I'm shooting off a bench, I've got a tray in my rifle.
@samyousif9028
@samyousif9028 4 года назад

Not to say we won't, but the requests have been so infrequent that it just doesn't seem to be enough of a market to justify the development cots. If I get enough requests, say 100 or so, I'll consider it. So far, I've seen about a dozen.

That's the height of rings that I needed in order to get the bell of my scope to stay above the rail. I've got so little clearance between my scope and hand guard that I had to trim my scope covers because the plastic wouldn't fit between.

From my experience, I think you're in Gen2. There was a lot of variation withing that generation. I suspect, no inside info, that they contracted out some work due to the poor tolerances we saw in that time. Gen2 is known for massively loose magazine fitment poor barrels, backward scope mounts, and a tone of other poor quality control issues.

Also they don’t make a left handed Ruger precision rim fire so I’m confused on how you think think they could accomplish putting the ejection port on the left side accidentally when the tooling is specialty made? Same with the picatinny rail if it was on backwards that could be possible but machining with reverse cant when their tools are model specific is just not believable. You’re either highly mistaken or lying for the sake of hearing yourself speak.
@47productsllc78
@47productsllc78 3 года назад
If you listen to what I said in the video, the MOA built into the rail was backward... the scope slanted upward as you traveled toward the business end. This means that the rail was backward, but it couldn't just be flipped around because it had been drilled incorrectly. It *looked* like it was cut for a lefty rifle because it was mounted the wrong way forward. I found the old RimfireCentral thread where I posted after figuring out what was going on. I do have a single picture on there: www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/showpost.php?p=11111377&postcount=23 I poked around in my parts bin, but it looks like I tossed this rail because it really didn't have any value given it'd been drilled wrong. I hope this gives you a little more faith in humanity that people really do tell the truth sometimes.

Useless product you’re trying to fix an issue of possible inaccuracy that most people don’t have enough training to take advantage of. A scratch on the side of the bullet slightly making it less accurate to a few thousands isn’t gonna make the slightest difference when people are shooting free hand or moving like crazy when they’re in the prone. This is trying to fix a problem that people who shoot factory guns don’t have.
@47productsllc78
@47productsllc78 3 года назад
Another fun comment... Well, I can say from the orders I've received that I have many happy customers, but you're also a bit misinformed, and I blame myself there. Yes, eliminating flyers by not scraping the bearing surface is one benefit, but these sleds are also helpful for training, shooting groups off a bench, testing different rounds... there are many benefits. There are some youth programs that do not allow shooters to load magazines, they MUST single load, and these products make that a lot easier. Is this for everyone? Nope. It's something I enjoy using and so do many others.
