@Suzi Cruz, please install a dashcam, a dual cam its for your own protection especially when riding with strangers. You should check Drivepro 520 which records the interior of the car its equipped with a night vision, so in case this incident happened again we have an evidence to file against the harassment its also cool to use while singing and driving you do not need to hold the camera :D cheers! keep safe.

I know there will still be some people who are not believing my story. And thats okay because I have no control over what people think. Sometimes some people can not see over the horizon. Because the ego wants to keep him safe and right. " you don't see the people the way they are, but you will see the people the way you are" As a Van lifer Channel I was never a feminist activist . but this experience made me richer. even though it was the hard way to learn. I m calling out to the women who are suffering , I tell you to stay strong, only time can change things, as long as we are aware. and not get use to it. These days I got insulted in the most harsh ways ever but it come es with it when you speak the truth. Sometimes I'm confused that some people care more about their fatherland than actual human beings. A title of your nationality that doesn't represent anything, because we are all one. A child of the earth and traveling and curiosity unites it. Remember say your opinion but don't fight hate with hate. know your worth and don't let anyone tell you anything else. because if young and old. small or big. women or men. we should treat everyone the way we want to be treated. And even though I m not religious I live up strongly to my values. And since I know many people are religious and they all share the same values. I hope you can live up to your truest self share love always and don't ever mock people for being weak, because the way you treat others tells more about yourself. Sue x And saying it the 8364781263871 times , I DIDNT SAY all moroccans are bad , I said I met the wrong person at the wrong time at the wrong place. It has to happen that I met him in Morocco but I know it could have happen everywhere.

as you said there's always the good and the bad everywhere nothing's perfect and you're lucky because nothing really happened you know i'm moroccan and i live ans see this every single day and we're trying hard to stop this even though it's a musliman country but that sad i'm really sorry about what happened to you and police is looking for Hassan the man you got harrassed by and i really hope you came again to morocco but next time why don't you make internet moroccan friends and i'd be one of them and i'll show you everything here

If ever in the future, that you feel anxious or nervous in your stomach or something doesn’t feel right to you, there is a very good chance that it’s not right. That’s your intuition gently speaking to you, listen to it! It may save you from harm. If you sense harm, leave right away. Just go! It’s better to be safe than sorry. Even when traveling with a male friend, it doesn’t guarantee safety in some cases. If something doesn’t feel right or not sit right with you, then it’s not right. Trust in your own natural response (subconsciously) to unperceived danger.

I'am Moroccan and I'm living this bad situation every day. i'm tired of taking the blame of harassement because I'm not dressed "properly" or because I was outside in the first place. i felt safer and free when i was studying in europe than in my own country. i'am moroccan and i don't even go to the supermarket alone unless i park my car in the garrage. i cannot walk one minute alone in the street.

mna mnab Its Not Good that ppl harras but everything has a cause the cause here is you. dont wear revealing, wear hijab, Go Try again.. but I guess Europe has changed you as well Thats Why you dont want to wear hijab and you make up every excuse Why you cant wear one.. this is Europe mentality nowadays..
@mouna2229
@mouna2229 6 лет назад
I was wearing a jelaba last week and i still got harassed. I saw a guy harassing an old lady who was wearing hijab and jelaba few years ago. it is not about the clothes, it is about the dirty mentality of some moroccan man. Besides, I can wear whetever I want, it is my freedome. Why don't you guys try wearing hijab in the hot sunny morocco.
@mouna2229
@mouna2229 6 лет назад
and let's be honest. moroccan guys who harass are usually uneducated and have plenty of time in their hands. they are walking in the streets harassing women (even the ones with hijab) instead of going to school or work. PS: your friend is a liar because in europe they dress 10 times worst than moroccans. i mean they run with a crop top and shorts in the street and they wear bikinis in the public garden. maybe your friend went only to nightclubs when she visired Morocco .
@realfresh8524
@realfresh8524 6 лет назад
mna mnab lol oh so you Can wear whatever you want? Where in islam it says you Can ' wear whatever you want' ? Wear a hijab, and Also hijab is Also behaving modest like for instance do Not flaunt with your assets.. You Can wear even niqab but if your behaviour is slutty then of course there Will be men who like that and Some dont play games like that. If Allah His Messenger saw says wear hijab then Why dont you wear hijab, you are a muslim right? Or Do you believe only in one part and neglect the Other? Also dont put on make up or perfume it is only ment for your husband Not for everyone to see or smell..

I’m so proud of you for speaking up about your incident. Based on most of the Morrocan females in your comments, they are thanking you for bringing this issue to light. This sort of problem is happening everywhere, but some countries have laws to protect women rights while most do not! I appreciate you putting this video together because it brought women who are living this reality everyday together. Also, they are able to share their story and spreading this awareness. Continue to live your life to the fullest and spread your love wherever you go. Luv you woman!! 🙂🙂

He started out as seeming to be a good guy, but once he began pushing you, that's when the difference happened. You were right and aware to just leave and get home. Good job, dear Susie. This is a an awesome work again, as we are used to and happy that you continue with the Vlogging. Humanity needs more heroes like you. What you have experienced and how the Arab world, especially the men, has responded to it is really an eye-opener and enlightenment for us, unaware of the enormity of the issue. I hope you gave the women there inspiration and voice to oppose their oppressors and to enforce their human rights, to simply be a woman without being held responsible for doing so. Keep it up!

Your appearance in this video is very strong. That's cool:) I saw the last video two days ago and did some research and thought a bit about that subject. So here are my thoughts: Unfortunately most parts of the world are dominated by man, or to say it differently more or less the hole world is a patriarchal system. In some cultures this system is stronger and in some countries there is more of a balance. There are so many different cultures and ways of living, but as well, we live in a very global world and we are able to see and feel the differences more than ever, but also can connect easier than ever before. Usually changes in society happen very slowly (apart from some events that sometimes change everything) but, changing a system that runs for a very long time takes its time. Women in Europe fight for their equality since more than hundred years and still, women and man are not totally equal (maybe per definition, but not in reality). So it is natural that (some/a lot...I don't know) man are against women getting loud. Because change of society or culture is not easy. And these cultural differences just make it more confusing or complicated. But, we as women should fight for our right! This is only possible in a system in wich women are breadwinner as well, so they are economical independent. And this is easier nowadays because there are many jobs for which you just need your brain and not muscles (but education!!). And it is important to act to every human respectful. Because I guess even the "bad" harassing guys are frustrated or what ever. Hate against anyone doesn't help. I try to do my best to be strong as a women and hope I could give whoever reads this way too long text for a youtube comment some ideas or inspiration. (This text is full of smattering and superficial knowledge and just my way of thinking, so if you are interested in this topic or similar stuff I recommend you to do research by your own)

This is the first time i check ur channel unfortunately it was cause of what happened to you in Morocco. As a moroccan girl im really sorry that you got to experience that. I can imagine how scary it was. I wish if you searched more and had more info from moroccans who live next to you in Germany, cause saying “ u need to be careful” was not enough . Rather they should have explained to u how it goes in Morocco and how some bastards here would use the fact that you are nice and friendly. Concerning the harassment we unfortunately live that all day everyday but i personally know how to deal with it and stop it i dnt live with it or ignore it. Cause as u said it is not normal and moroccans shouldnt ignore that. After all that being said, I wish if you would consider to come back here someday with someone of course, and experience how amazing Morocco is, you will find so many nice people who are willing to help u and invite u to their places with nothing in return, and im sure if you have ever come back someday you will definitely see how great it is. Thank you so much for sharing your story, we love you.

Susi.. You. Are. Amazing. This is probably one of the many reasons why you are now doing van life. To raise awareness and remind each person who have had experienced something like yours is not a piece of thing to be hidden under layers of fake smiles. That they should not be quiet about it for the rest of their lives. I don't even know why there are other people that has the nerves to say that you are lying. Your body language says it all. Your eyes scream frustration, upset, disappointment, and most of all, fear :( you are a great person my dear. It’s insane that there are still people out there not fighting for basic human rights for all. Sending you lots of love and support ❤️

I am so proud of you Susi! Thank you for your transparency and for being the voice for those who are afraid to speak up about incidents like this one. Keep up the good work!

Honestly, to everyone who thinks that the women are going to “gang up and be feminists” what kind of human beings are you?! I mean, from what our girl I’d saying, it is mostly men, so to them I say what type of gentlemen are you? She is honestly one of the strongest women I know and she obviously want making any of it up! To Susi, I love you and I completely get where you are coming from. I think it is awful that that is some women’s reality every day in different parts of the world. I love you, don’t listen to anyone, keep doing what you are doing, and I love the message you are sending. ❤️

I have to say you are my favorite creator on this platform because you are so truthful and so real. Harassment, especially towards women from men is a HUGE issue and some people literally think it doesn't exist. I can tell of several encounters of being harassed on a 15 minute walk on my school campus, being followed by men on bikes and hollered at for how I look. It is so scary and I cannot even begin to imagine how scary it was for you. You are so strong and so inspiring for not letting this make you feel weak. There are so many amazing people in this world, like that man who gave you money for gas! I hope that your message is able to open the eyes of the ignorant and make even the smallest difference. Everyone deserves to walk the streets feeling safe and not self conscious due to others. So much love!!

It was very very obvious that you had truly been through a disturbing experience. Anyone who has watched your videos for a while could tell you were speaking your truth. Definitely not made up. And you are RIGHT!!! We are so conditioned to go along with things and think that the kind of thing that happened to you is normal. It’s not normal, it’s totally unacceptable!! They ask: “Why didn’t you go to the police?”... You were in shock and scared and just wanted to get away!!! Totally understandable. For goodness sakes, women such as myself who have been raped don’t report it most of the time... because you are scared or think you won’t be believed. And people have just proven that... that they don’t want to believe and will attack you instead for speaking up. Absolutely disgusting and makes me so mad that you are being further attacked after a traumatic experience. Keep speaking your truth Susi!!!!! And yes, you said in the video quite clearly that while your wallet was stolen, you had your passport hidden in your van. Ugh, I’m so mad about this all. But much love to you 💕

I hope that this incident hasn’t shaken your confidence too much, I think it’s amazing what you’re doing. It was lovely to hear the people that were good like the man that shook his head telling you not to get out the car or talk to the person. I think it’s important that when we go out on new scary adventure we think about the strangers who have been good to us and not those very few ones that have caused negative experiences.

I was watching this food bloggers videos about a different area of Africa and something really stood out. Lots of men and donkeys outdoors but over several days worth of vlogs, I saw only one small group of about six women, heavily shrouded, grouped tightly together, and huddling along the walls as they quickly walked by. It's so disappointing that the men there are okay with that. Nobody should feel obligated to walk the streets where they live in an uncomfortably close group holding tightly to each other as if they fear for their very lives. Those men should be ashamed. The 'Its our culture" excuse is ridiculous. A culture that makes people feel harassed and unsafe unless they travel with what amounts to a bodyguard is nothing to be proud of. What happened to you is sickening and disgraceful and so is anyone who tries to justify it. Before anyone claims I'm being unfair to Africa, the U.S. has plenty of places where women arent safe walking alone either and it's equally inexcusable. We should all be free to enjoy the beauty of this world unmolested no matter who we are or where we go.

Hi Susi, I'm so sorry to hear that this happened to you. To be honest, when I saw the video when you said Morocco was your next destination, I felt my heart drop because I was in Marrakech this past fall and had a similarly terrible experience. It's a shame because it's a country that is so rich in culture and beauty and yet all I could think about was how terrible it is to be a women, particularly an Asian woman visiting the country. I could not take 2 steps in Marrakech without being harassed or harangued with racist and sexists comments by the men in the city and it soured the whole experience for me. I had a scary incident when I was walking around the souk and a man riding his bicycle came up so close to me and sniffed me as he rode past. It was absolutely disgusting and he kept looking back at me, slowed down until we passed him, and then followed my friend and I (who was also an Asian female) until we stepped into a shop. It was one of the scariest and creepiest experiences I've had. I know not all Moroccans are like this because I actually met a wonderful friend who I still keep in touch with and there were many others who were so so nice. But I have also never felt as unsafe as a woman in any other country. I want to go back, but I will only do so with a MALE companion. Having a female companion was not enough to spare me from being harassed with looks and comments and sounds. So when you said you were going and I knew how you travel alone in your van, I was terrified for you. I'm so sorry you had to go through this and I'm really glad you are safe.

you seem a good person and i knew as a Moroccan that of course you didnt mean to do harm or create drama, no need to concern yourself, but the sad reality is, Moroccan people are mostly uneducated, they rarely open a book, and they are not used to freedom of speech, so you gonna get attacked for what you said, cuz it ruins their fairy tail, they will call you a liar, a drama queen... i get that and more since i am an Atheist who lives between Muslims. so just don't pay attention, express you opinion, in the end you wish only good, you got harassed so its brave to speak up, sadly lot of women here aren't and that doesn't help, thank you for helping us expose the real issues of our country, cuz i hate it when foreigners try to paint our countries rosy while we have some real issues.

Be brave, the moment you spoke up, I knew it was true. Even on moroccan pages, a loooot of people were and still are defending you, including men... That being said, you shouldnt worry about what anyone thinks, and like you said, what really matters is what your values are and what you believe in, and what you learned from this experience... I love to see woman come together and make positive change. 💪🏾 I think you handled the situation the best way possible, and I am glad you made it back home safely. To anyone who doesn't believe that harassment is real needs to educate themselves. Its sad but in some places this kind of behavior is very common and expected even. I think your story helps shed some light on the issue and lets women know that there is hope! Thank you for sharing your story. God speed on the rest of your travels.!! 💙💙

i understand u. people always want those nice bodies, have a nice figure and face, makeup on fleek etc. but when youre already like that pretty it can hurt. i had a friend who told me boys only liked me because of my figure. i am TWELVE. you cant believe how much that hurts knowing that people dont care about your personality. we got in a fight because she told me things like “youll be on tinder tomorrow” etc. i am muslim, never dress up openly and i never try my best looking like a object. i cried for hours. she told me that she was only complimenting me but if she was my best friend, wich she was at that time she wouldve known i am very sensitive to that. people need to stop wishing for those bodies as it makes life harder. i respect you so much for being such a strong woman!
