See an interview with Kieran Maguire earlier on a Forest channel, he seems to think, with Europe & Saudi leagues, if a club has evidence, such as e mail trail or the equivalent, that any sales were made and agreed before the deadline but not completed before, due to clubs in these leagues not being able to complete deals, where only the final details need agreeing that should be enough for the Prem, as long as it was tied up in a day or two and not weeks later.

Swap deals will help because we can bank the entire value of the player leaving on the day, but the player coming in can have his value amortised over 5 years. So say we swap a player worth 50 mil for another player worth 50 mil, we get to bank 50 mil instantly but only have to spend 10 mil making a net profit of 40 mil (assuming a 5 year contract). At least that’s how I understand the process.

@@BaronSpamedi I’m not one to moan ! Sure, I think the system is rigged in favour of certain clubs, but where we are now didn’t come as a surprise. We shouldn’t be in a position where we are forced to sell an asset we don’t want to, when there are other options

@johnenglish929 But we will always have to sell. Everyone does, even the big six. It's just that they have a lot more scope to spend big because of their greater revenue. After the takeover, we were were starting from a position of disadvantage because, although Ashley left us with no debt, he also left us a squad that was worth next to nothing. The whole FFP/PSR system is poor because it doesn't take into account actual debt levels or whether or not an owner is wealthy enough to inject their own money without making the club incur extra debt.

@@BaronSpamedi Absolutely. I quite agree with that and totally accept that the system is rigged against Clubs like us at the moment. I really don’t like to criticise the Club because we are in a better position with better management than we have ever been, but we have allowed ourself to be backed into a corner on this one when we could have avoided it. All I will say is that I have a horrible feeling that if Minteh goes to another PL Club, we will live to regret it ! HWTL.

Trust the process that got us into PSR deficit by buying players for positions we didn’t need, failed to sell in January and is now ditching one of the best prospects in Europe in a position we need to bail them our. Aye trust the process! Folk should be sacked for this.

We could sell Minteh sort out the issues and he goes on to do nowt .. and we're off the back of 2 class seasons (last ones injuries taken into account) man , signings have been belta and nowt to say we don't get good prices for the likes of miggy etc this summer. They're moving proper man across the board .. that's why I say trust the process
