5:45 I'll help ya out! Here, we're looking to run one of our staple inside zone plays as taught by Alex Gibbs. We're trying to get our Guard out to the second level, and CMC is taught to take three steps and when the third step hits, he goes. On this play, we execute it to ALMOST perfection as Feliciano gets out quickly to seal the second level. You'll see that McKivitz also manages to help at the line and then get to the second level and put a body on the Strong side linebacker. Perfect execution from the OL and RB on this one. The play could have gone for much more yards, but we missed on one minor detail. A notable difference between an inside zone blocking scheme vs a man scheme is that you will leave a backside player un blocked. With our bunch alignment and having Jennings attached to the line, we have two players to account for: #27 and #0 - one of these guys will need to be left unblocked. Jennings makes contact with #0 Diaby, but fails to hold the block long enough for Big Trent to make the seal and let JJ escape to the second level. Diaby scrapes and makes the stop. Give credit where credit is due, Diaby made a great play here. #27 was the unblocked player as determined by the alignment and he didn't make much of an attempt to get into the action. And if you want to get into the action, be sure to head over to manscaped dot com!

Awesome spotlight brother. Purdy is looking like the first legit MVP candidate for the 49ers since '98 Steve Young's campaign. I think the odds are stacked against him due to public perceptions outside of his control, but that's fine. Just happy to have this triggerman playing this spectacular for the red, and gold. The offseason narrative of him being able to bounce back from elbow surgery seems like a figment of the imagination at this point. Happy Thanksgiving, and cheers to you, and your family.

Who would be more deserving in the NFL than Mr Irrelevant, Brock Purdy!! Picked last in the draft, everyone disregarded him as throw away, goes on to take the Niners to the playoffs and loses in the final bc of injury, comes back after surgery to win the next 7 of the next 10 games, and just got the perfect passer rating that no rookie has ever received!! Lot of doubters out there, but most if not all analyst now rank him as the best in the NFL right now! If not Brock, then who? Certainly not Hurts or Mahone's, neither have the great numbers that Purdy is putting out. If he does not get it then it will be a total sham. Even if the Niners make the Super Bowl and lose, Brock should still get the MVP. imho.

Ive seen Brock play in person multiple times and the thing that sticks out for me is how he hits his drop and bang ball out. On time, accurate, and where it should be going in the offense. He reads both pre snap and post snap so well it makes the game so much easier than other rookies and 2nd year players

I'm glad to see I'm not bonkers for feeling like Brock is playing at a higher level than what he's making it look like. Also, so good to see Wilks use some familiar stuff from Saleh and Ryans. Do you think the loss of Hufunga is going to make a serious dent in our secondary or is the next-man-up mentality going to really benefit us here? With any luck our Niners can have Seahawk for dinner on Thanksgiving and in a couple weeks throw them in the trash like those Thanksgiving leftovers that have gone bad. As always GREAT video and I hope you and yours have a great Thanksgiving. #BangBangNinersGang #WhosGotItBetterThanUs #GoNiners #JD49

@Jonnydel - Once again, another fantastic breakdown. I really love how you mentioned the Purdy chatter has to stop - and you said that multiple times. And I'm 100% in agreement with you. If the haters can't see it by now, then I guess they're just in deep denial. There are some really good QBs in the league, but truth is, I don't see even one single QB playing better than BP right now. Not even Mahomes. Russ is playing pretty good his last 4 games, but still - its all add-lib off schedule stuff, very little consistency from within the pocket.

Check this out. Brock has been sacked facing a blitz on 12 of his 20 sacks this season. That's more than half of his total sacks. What we know about this scheme is that it will absolutely allow free rushers on the blitz. What's crazy is the O line has only been responsible for 9 of the 20 sacks this season. By the way, Brock is the most blitzed QB per dropback in the league at 45.4%.
@jonnydel

@@donntknoow575 For sure about Brock and how good he is against the blitz. Which is why we don't max protect a whole lot. But my post was on the perspective of the offensive line. A lot of fans think they are terrible but the truth is Kyle's system allows for free blitzers. So what the casual fan might see as terrible O line play is actually allowed by design. The fact that the O line has been responsible for less than 1 sack per game is remarkable.

Purdy played so well this game! It was great to see him come back so strong. People really made a mountain out of a molehill with honestly only 2 not-perfect games. But look at him., still with criticism that he can't throw deep, and he drops that bomb to BA, and he threw it about 45 yards before BA even caught it. I know nobody likes being wrong ut its okay to admit that you were wrong about Brock Purdy haters, 31 other teams were wrong about him too.

So with Brock throwing all these predictive balls I'm thinking: 1: there's no receiver wide open 2: Brock has to be throwing more and handing off less. My reading of the stats seems to show more throwing and less running the ball. If that were correct it would suggest the Niners game was moving more towards the passing game from the running game which has been the bread and butter under Shanaghan. Excuse my ignorance of football.

That's the interesting thing. In the 3 games we have lost with him, he brought us a 40yd try but could have gotten closer if coach allowed. Had a great drive until concussed, and drove down the field to the 7 when a defensive player made a great and lucky play. This was all without TW and Deebo. His INT after was also caused by a wrong route run with both players going to same zone allowing a player who was going to chase to turn back and make the play.
