VEDA (VLOG EVERYDAY APRIL) DAY 9|2020 QUARANTINE VLOG
What's up ya'll! Today I am showing you my (kind of) simple 4C natural hair wash day routine. Today's wash day is going to be a little different from my others because today I am doing a no poo (no shampoo) method that will promote fast hair growth. Instead of shampoo today, I am doing an apple cider vinegar rinse. Instead of conditioning my natural hair, I will be doing a coffee/caffeine rinse. And I am making my own DIY deep conditioner for deep conditioning. I love making homemade deep conditioner for my natural 4C hair and the last time you saw me do this, I used a banana, honey and olive oil in my natural hair, but this time I am using raw honey, conditioner and Haitian castor oil. I would highly recommend this deep conditioner for high porosity and low porosity naturals and I'll explain why below.
ACV RINSE ON NATURAL HAIR
Apple cider vinegar also known as ACV helps to balance your scalp's pH. ACV is an antimicrobial that gets rid of dirt, grease, fungi and bacteria. It is also know to relieve an itchy scalp. I do an apple cider rinse once a month, but I would recommend twice a month as the maximum. Just like all things, too much use of ACV is bad for you or in this case your scalp. When used in moderation it can be perfect for thick natural hair (and locs). Lastly, be sure to ALWAYS dilute apple cider vinegar with water! It is very acidic so it should be diluted to reap all the hair benefits.
COFFEE RINSE ON NATURAL HAIR
Caffeine is packed with micronutrients that are known to help stimulate healthy cell production so it protects cells from free radical damage that could stunt hair growth. THIS MEANS FAST HAIR GROWTH for you. The darker the bean, THE BETTER so try looking for Dark roast, french roast or espresso. BUT TOO MUCH CAFFEINE can slower your hair growth cycle so I would recommend doing the coffee rinse once a month.
DIY HONEY DEEP CONDITIONER ON NATURAL HAIR
Honey has antioxidant properties that prevent damage and keep your scalp and hair healthy. Honey is also capable of softening and soothing. Not to mention that it seals moisture in your hair, keeping it conditioned. This REDUCES BREAKAGE WHICH PROMOTE HAIR GROWTH because if you're hair is not breaking then it is effectively growing. I LOVE HONEY SOOO MUCH AND FIND ALL OF IT'S BENEFITS TRUE FOR ME AND MY 4C HAIR!
HAITIAN CASTOR OIL FOR NATURAL HAIR
Haitian Black Castor Oil has strong anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties which combats infections and increases HAIR GROWTH

Sooo much good stuff!!! 💐 Appreciate not too many oils, can isolate issues better and eliminate an irritation; ACV w/ massage... I immediately removed my silk scarf and massaged my scalp too along with you; the snipping off of those knotted ends was sooo cathartic for me! Really fun, educational and relatable, Lynda! 'Slowly but slowly then surely-indeed!' Thx for the gr8 upload, as usual! 🤗 🌷🐝

You’re hair is gorgeous and we’re def hair twins. How often do you trim and how do you keep up the motivation to do all these things to your hair in a month? I jus put my hair in protective styles most of the year and then wear my hair in the summer but soon I’m thinkin of locking.

Finally someone who has thick density hair but when they wash and twist/braid the width is thinner at the ends. I thought it was just my hair that wasn't the same thickness at end when I Twisted it!!!....wonderful job girl!! Thank you!!! Question do you always wash and put in stretched style wait for it to dry then put in styling products afterwards?
@marsbarsinthestars3226
@marsbarsinthestars3226 4 года назад
Ur hair gets thinner at the ends bcos it's breaking off to a certain extent. The people who dont have hair like that keep up with their trims very very often, or their hair is just less prone to breakage. Im not saying its a bad thing or whatever, but thats the reason why. Her ends are also bleached so that might add to it. But everyone has thinner ends to a certaine extent unless they keep up on their trims very often. So ur not the only one!

Hello can you tell me how often should one shampoo ?
@xolyndajay
@xolyndajay 4 года назад
Sis......how is it that “all we need is water and grease” but you literally just said shampoo, deep condition, aloe vera, 2 oils (oil and grease are 2 different things), and moisturizer (also not grease)? You’re contradicting yourself boo. Your own list proves that we need more than just water & grease. But hey, to each his/her own. If soley water and grease promote hair growth for you (which there isn’t much science behind that) then that’s totally fine but there are hair growth benefits in everything that I’ve done in this video and I listed all of those benefits in the description box. There’s proven science behind what I’m doing so what may be considered “too much” for you is worth the time and effort for me.
@JM-qg9bo
@JM-qg9bo 4 года назад
Wrong... no two ppl are the same including hair care and products used. So grease and water isn't going to work for all I do agree this is too darn much! Apple cider tx, then coffee rinse, turn a deep conditioner. If it does work you dont even know which of these worked. I don't think it's the combo unfortunately.
