This may be late, & you may not still have this problem, but I would encourage you to try a green tea rinse with rosemary (aids in hair growth). Natural85 has a video tutorial on this. I added rosemary to my hot water as the tea bag was seeping. I carefully added an application bottle full (I purchased one from Sally’s beauty. It’s the leakproof Salon Care bottle) amount to my hair after I applied my deep conditioner. I let it sit for about 30 minutes, & afterwards rinsed it out. I believe it works & that I shedded less hair. I’m going to keep trying it. I plan to use it every two weeks. I think what we consider more shedding may come with having dense hair, however I believe there are ways to reduce it. Also we should consider our hair is coily & curly, and one shed hair looks like a lot, & 20 shed hairs can form a ball.
You arent losing hair. You shed over 40 strands per day. If you don't thoroughly comb the shedded strands out daily then it will appear as if you are losing hair if you have a good brush that will capture the hair that was shed that had not already been brushed out.
