I left my resonator on and shredded out the last cat and deleted my muffler and added a sawyer performance chip....set up for performance not fuel milage........got 40 more horsepower.....wow and sounds as bad as any ferrari!!! with better fuel milage!
WoW!!!!!.... someone finally uses a Sawyer performance chip....I got the ST10 Power Pro.... for... one of my mods ...on my 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS...it screams!!!...😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
@darylhayes5961 still rocking the same setup, no changes. When I set up in first on the automatic, the profile from the Sawyer chip takes over and my car gets loud and screams.....everybody in town knows this car from the way she sings from the rafters.....evos can't keep up! neighbor has a civic r, he can't begin to keep up either. Up to 60mph, you need a muscle cars to beat it......still loving no payments, no hassles, no regrets, and huge smiles!
I live in Florida and I'm going to buy a DC Sports Cold Air Intake very soon because my car gets extremely hot. Nothing a little bit of cold air won't hurt lol. Also does it actually give you more Horsepower? I've heard all sorts of things and I'm just assuming it increases the throttle response and makes the car a bit louder.
You pretty much hit the nail on the head. It helps a lot with temps. I'm here in Georgia and my car gets very hot here too. My car used to bog bad because of the temps with a short ram. Cold air intake is the way to go. I don't notice a difference in power, but the throttle does seem more responsive and sounds great.
I have the same car and I was looking around for little mods here and there that wouldn't require a whole bunch of experience to add. For the intake, I was split between the Short Ram or the Cold Air. I live in Colorado so the Cold Air might get a whole bunch of snow, or stuff kicked up into it during the winters, but does the Short Ram really heat up that badly? Also, what other "easy" mods could you recommend?
If where you live is really cold all the time, then it might not be too bad. I'm located in Georgia and it gets really hot here and I can significantly notice a change when it is warm outside. I have a cold air intake now and it is a lot better. Other cheap mods would be adding a front strut tower bar, an axle or cat back exhaust. Those are the easy ones that come to mind. Lowering springs are cheap but not necessarily an easy install. You can also buy a hydro shield for the filter on the cold air intake so it wont suck up water
I have a short ram air intake but I want to put a cold air intake in but, I don’t know how to install it. And you said something about some video you deleted, but put it back but i don’t see it
Hey did you ever experiment with that other piece you were calling a resonator? Also hows the difference between cold air and short ram? Sound and temps? Thanks
Not much difference in sound between short ram and cold air intakes. But the cold air intake is much better for the car. Engine definitely runs better with it. I have not removed the resonator behind the fuel rail yet.
