BROTHER THANK YOU! I dropped the transmission and so I took the battery off. Did the tranny. Put it back together.... A few times! Kept forgetting stuff. The starter was fine. On the 4th reattachment of the battery the started did EXACTLY what you're showing. Then, I blew the starter solenoid (was super rusty). Put a new starter on, and SAME DAMN THING! Arghhhh. I looked at the NEG- terminal and it looked ok. Opened it up as you said and guess what - rusted top, and a little green on the inside. Took a wirebrush to it all made her look brand new. CAR STARTS EZ. $250 dollar lesson: learned. Thanks brother!
The auto trans hits 60 in 2nd gear lol..pretty crazy.im runnin forged pustons and rods,exhaust upgrade with a mild tune...but boy do i wish it was a manual LOL..my gs would be a close ass race against the gt if i had a trans that could put the power down without slips.
Ive owned my 06 gt for about 5 years, put well over 100k on it (currently at 220k) and she's been amazing to me. Not super fast but plenty enough to have fun with the 6 speed and with some suspension mods it handles shockingly well in corners. Its also in coilovers yet ive driven through every washington snow storm witbout snowtires no issue. @0_xyy0
I don't know if anyone needs some additional info. There are two fuses that are in a yellow case in your fuse box that commonly become loose. Remove the yellow case and re insert them. Helps with a lot of electrical problems as well.
Decent resonator and even a free flowing muffler will help change the raspy sound, something like a vibrant resonator or muffler sound good even on Honda engines, look up some videos and you'll see! I like the sound that flowmasters have, very throaty and burbley
I don't think removing all that paneling in the rear is necessarily. There are four small panels, two on each side, that will give you access to those three bolts. If you wanna use an impact wrench yeah they'll have to come out, but you have access to those bolts for hand tools.
If you had installed it correctly to begin with it would have worked right I have a 2006 mitsubishi eclipse ,gt 6 speed trans I have a adjustable strut tower bar this info mite be way over your head ...but I lifted my car up and supported it on both sides letting the front tires hang freely than loosend the bolts ,were the bar would mount and installed the bar without any problems, now ...maybe it's because I am a mechanic of 24 plus years that helps ... you are the kind of person who buys a part and slaps it on There car without a clue ..just cause you did , something wrong doesn't me the rest of us have ... your( part )is not the problem it's the one who installed !!
So do you have to remove the tire and back plastic to change the air filter every time? Does it actually make a difference in performance or is it just for looks?
