Fixing up a stock GS that got damage from my uncle from hitting a deer. Really inspiring video man. I know absolutely nothing about repairing cars. Both doors, both fenders, trunk, headlights, taillights, front bumper, engine problems, and a few more things.

something to possibly consider I know this video is almost 2 years old. I didn't make a video due to lack of camera or go pro but I have an 06 Eclipse, The Driver side fog light black plastic cover I actually removed and ran a aluminum pipe mounted to the back of the fog light in to the existing black plastic pipe with an Inline Filter and a mesh screen where the black cover set so you don't suck up rocks and what not. It made a difference and actually looks good when you open the hood up and people ask "what's that go to?" or "Where is that going to" It's a cheaper route than buying a good cold air intake for 350+ US dollars.
Looks awesome man...i went on ebay and ordered dna headers and catback exhaust all together it came out to 260$ i thought it would be worth the try even though it was very cheap...it sounds great and it was well worth the money
Nice ride bro, i have a 08 eclipse auto that iv'e had for a year now. The only mods on mines so far are injen short ram intake and magnaflow catback. I actually just ordered rre headers so i should get them soon. Anyway it's nice to see people showing love to the 4g eclipse for a change, not a lot of support for this car especially since it's being turned into a crossover which sucks. Btw are you on club4g?
Mark Anderson Thank you! Yes, it's sad the community for these cars are so small. I think they're pretty underrated. Not the fastest or best handling but they are a solid package for the price. I am on club4g. My username is the same name as my channel. I lurk a lot, don't post a whole ton. That forum has died off in the last couple of years. Congrats on the RRE headers purchase, I heard those were the last batch, so you have a rare gem now. They're the best headers for this car.

Ricardo Infante I'm sure it does. Depending on the wheel model and respective weight, smaller is usually lighter. This set feels about the same as the stock set, as far as weight is concerned, so not too much difference there. But the added track adds for a lot more grip, which I like.
do you know whats the biggest size tires i can put on the stock wheels? with the 205/40/r17 theres a huge gap.. ive put 20inch wheels before and looks good but car feels way heavier.
I just bought a 2007 GS in liquid silver. I really like the paint on yours better than mine. But i do love the car though. Im just trying to figure out what to do to it first? Probably tints first, then maybe eyelids, idk. Im more for making it look nicer than for performance. What does that brace do for the car?
Kevin Carvajal Hey thanks! These are 18 inch. And yes, I wouldn't see why it would be bad. The only thing is you may have clearance issues running a cold air intake with the auto. I know for the Injen Intake the auto has to be short ram while the manual is cold air. But DC Sports says the cold air will work with either so idk.
Ohh alright, thank you for the explanation. and do you think with the short intake would work better in an automatic 2006 gs? and how about in winter time? would be kind of risky since the engine might get water inside
Sunset4G That's not true, I'm running a 08 auto 4g with an Injen CAI (along with tanabe strut brace, tein lowering springs, flowmaster exhaust) and it's fine, pulls air from the wheel well.
gunstar1981 Injen actually rated the the CAI for manuals and the SRI for autos. Check their website. I wouldnt know about the clearance, I don't have an auto. Just reading what I've seen on the manufactures website. They built the intake afterall.
Cali Guy Depends. What are you into? If you're looking for straight line muscle, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a nice, balanced car that handles well, then it's fun. I recommend the manual. The auto models are slower. They're a great value for what you get though
alexchilled I responded to your other comment in the other video, but yes I recommend them. You'll be hard pressed to find a similar car for the price point of these, and they're pretty underrated in general with handling and driving characteristics. They lack a little in power. If you need power, get a GT or a different car. Although, I've never thought my GS was slow running through the gears at redline. I also recommend buying a manual trans model. The autos are slushboxes and rob power and performance.
Sunset4G I have a built 08 GS and I have the dual clutch (sport-tronic) and in manual mode I don't think it limits you whatsoever and is just as fast as the manual. It lets you rev to 6200 for that perfect shift through every gear and makes for a very comfortable daily driver being able to flip between manual and auto while rolling. The sport-tronic system also almost acts as a short shifter as there is NO delay between gear changes with just a punch to the stick. Very smooth, and the 4g and especially the GS is very underrated I've surprised many with it's capabilities and plan to go the nitrous route soon.
xXDeath BearXx There is no dual clutch transmission. Only torque converter auto, which is inferior to a manual transmission in every way. It may "shift faster" but it puts down less power to the wheels as torque converters are in efficient and also has very long gears which makes for longer acceleration times.
