This is fantastically clear footage. I appreciate especially that there isn't any distracting music - just raw footage of very high quality. Thanks for making this available, to those of us who can't experience war relics like this up close.
Hier passt einfach alles zusammen.
Excellent audio and video -- thumbs up! Interesting there appears to be a gap between the canopy edge and the fuselage. I noticed a modified Buchon that was temporarily parked outdoors at Oshkosh had blue tape applied to the canopy rail seam. So is that gap common to Bf 109s? Again, great job with your video.
Wonderful video..... Thank you 👍, one of my favourite scenes from the Battle of Britain is at the start when you see the Me 109's(Merlin engined Spanish built) screaming in at low level at high speed at hedge top height, so spectacular. I wonder was Ray Hanna one of the pilots by any chance? I got to meet Adolph Galland when he visited Ireland in 1980 and gave a lecture on the Channel Dash in which he was in charge of providing the air cover. Nice man, still have his autograph
Whenever I see the words Ray Hanna and low flight together I think of ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4iOoiEbtf2w.html but you probably already know that one :)
@@michel.montreal ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rnc78LW7V1U.html Hi Michael, that's one of my favourite clips, never get tired seeing, Hanna and MH434 were a perfect blending of man and machine, were lucky to have so many fine performances captured on film
After reading that 42,000 or so DB-605 were made, and many or most had problems because of scarcity of strategic materials such as nickel for the valves, I'm even more impressed with whoever is credited with restoring the motor and keeping it maintained enabling this group to run an effectively original airplane from the losing side.
What magnificent footage! The picture quality is fantastic and the sound is truly superb!! So this example is a restored 109 rather than a converted Buchon?
Thank you for your kind comment! This Bf-109 G-6 with the serial number 440738 was originally built in 1944 at the Wiener Neustädter Flugzeugwerke and it crashed on May 29, 1944 at Matzleinsdorf near Melk (Austria). The original nameplate was recovered with the wreck and used for the rebuild. This was started in Austria by Michael Rinner in 2007 and largely completed; In 2013, the project was taken over by the Air Fighter Academy (Hangar 10) at Heringsdorf airport, Isle of Usedom/Germany. Airworthiness was finally restored in the summer of 2018.
I will upload some new videos from Hangar 10 in the next few weeks (Bf 109, Fw-190, P-51 Mustang, Spitfire). But this "new" videos are from 2019. Because after the tragic death of the owner of Hangar 10, Volker Schülke, in 2020, neither "open days" nor flight demonstrations took place. All aircraft of Hangar 10 have been for sale now, since February 2023. Unfortunately, this wonderful collection will no longer exist soon. 😢😠
THe most terryfying sound of WW 2. Bombarding and the sound of teh machine gun from that aircraft.... Hitler was crazy but HE knew well what and why is doing that .... Thanks to HIM today Germany is developed in ig economy center in Europe including the army to...
