I watched both Anthropopagus and Absurd for the first time recently. Your absolutely right the former despite being a slow burn is well paced film, there's atmosphere it builds too. It's essentiallly gothic horror and slasher hybrid. Where as Absurd is an interesting concept, but outside that it doesn't appear the director thought much about a narrative.
Yeah that's a great way of putting it mate 🤔🤩👏 there's just "something" about Anthro that makes it very entertaining and watchable 🤔🤩👌👌 Absurd just lacks that "something" for me mate! Saying that if it had distanced itself from Anthro it would be better recieved as it's not a bad Slasher 🤔😁😁 cheers for watching 🤩🤩👍👍
Amazing that these films are in 4K these days. Don't think I've ever seen it. The font is called 'stop', they're actually quite easy to find with a text search these days. All the best John.

I'm hoping Video Nasties the definitive guide 1&2 appears on 4K and standard Blu-ray! Having on just DVD doesn't do it justice and it's one of may favourite documentaries on video Nasties ever.

It's not a patch on Halloween 2 Christian, I hold Halloween 2 in a high estimation.... but saying that it's still and enjoyable film and I think if Absurd had a killer who had a cool mask or looked less like a normal guy, it would have been more recognised possibly 🤔 cheers for watching Christian 🤩🤩👍👍
I am hoping that they do a 4K release of Nigh Train Murders, I do prefer this version of The Virgin Spring over Last House on the Left. For me, it's a better made film where the music fits the atmosphere & the mood of the scene & there's no comedic police officers .
