a good landing is not a soft landing, it is a safe landing, and this was a perfect landing, at the 1000 mark, and it was not a hard landing, I would say it was -350 FPM and this is perfectly smooth, so besides insurance (at the 1000 mark) was still very smooth, congratulations my friend, good flights for you! ( sorry for any grammar mistakes, I use google translator because I from brazil and my english is not so good )
It was a positive landing, as it’s often the case on CIA’s runway 15. The reason is simple: there’s a steep upslope. You really realize it when taxiing on the parallel taxiway because on final, you don’t see much of the natural horizon (but the hills instead) and the visual picture doesn’t show you this. Add the relatively short length for a -800 and the fact that these RYR guys aim to vacate before the end to save a minute or two and you have a firm landing. Have rarely seen nor done a greaser on this strip.
Excuse you I play P3D and I get +15 fpm therefore I am an expert and therefore I can tell people who fly real aircraft that their landings are shit if they don't get at least -5 fpm! LMAO
Thank you so much for sharing and having the thought t put this together. It is helpful to se the view of the pilots and what you experience. Very Good !
@@kriskris_2_1 That's getting so old now if u knew anything about aviation witch u don't by the looks of thing's U will know that sometimes landings can't always be perfect and plus a lot of the runways are short that Ryanair land on so u need to put the aircraft down firmly sometimes so the jokes on you mate
@@CJ-zt5mr Its SOP's and safety too! They require the flight crew to land on the touch-down zone to get an early but safe RWY exit to reduce taxi times and speed up turnaround times! This will induce a few firm landings here and there as its a tricky thing to do.
Great video, thank you. Can anyone explain why Boeing have kept that spinning trim wheel, even on the max? Is it just legacy, or does it have a relevant reason to be mechanical with all the noise it creates.
"Waaaaaaaaah why are Ryanair landings sooo harrrrd waaaaaaaah why don't they get -5fpm like I do on my desktop simulator when I float it half way down the runway waaaaaaaaaaaah" Well maybe because Ryanair land at airports with short runways and and don't want to pull a KENCO and run off the end of the runway.
Short field perfomance , it's optional feature. More ground spoiler deflection ( 60deg ) Faster transition from aproach idle to ground idle It gives a bit more landing perfomance on wet rwy ( on dry rwy not so much) This airline operate some charter flights in summer time , short runways ....so that's why ... The sticker serves as a reminder to the pilots , because sfp aircrafts are harder to decelerate in the air ( flaps are less effective due to delayed slat extension )
I will edit with some musics this video and timelapse to post in my instagram page ok? I will leave the credits for you , check out "@world_airplanes/vehicles"
the auto brake was set to 3 so you can tell the runway was really short, that's why the landing was hard, if the runway were longer he would've landed smoother.
The aircraft came down with such a thump that all the passengers would nearly have to put a pillow under their ass so they wouldn’t break their ass and fall through the seat 😂😂😂
