@@mcmediaandfilm Hi mate. Yeah I love my Bob. I learnt to fly fpv on the Avata, after having an Air 2 & Mini 3 Pro and doing normal drone photo/video for about 3 years. I spent hours in Liftoff, and then in manual mode on the Avata, and then the Bob 57 was my first ‘proper’ fpv drone. I love it. It’s good for cruising on the coasts etc. especially when there’s a bit of wind as it’s size and weight make it nice n stable. It’s good for mid to long range sort of cruising. It depends what type of flying you want to do. I expect as you’ve flown for 14 years then you already know the score. If ur more focused on freestyle get a 5 inch or smaller, if you want a nice mid range cruiser get the Bob etc. I’m really happy with mine. It’s the 03 unit version, with Crossfire, and I use the TBS Tango 2 & Goggles V2. (I own the goggles 2 but have packed them away and gone back to the V2s as I prefer them loads.) There’s a good option that’s a lot cheaper that iFlight recently brought out. It’s the Nazgul Eco. It works out about £370 for the 03 + Crossfire or ELRS version. That might be a good option for you, but if you’re deffo wanting a 6 inch cruiser then yeah the Bob57 is wicked. Check out Ellis Van Jason’s videos about the Bob as he was the guy who designed it so he goes into details about it all. Thanks for the sub, and I’ll sub back and hope to see some flights soon. Cheers mate. ;)

@@mcmediaandfilmyeah man. Just checked out some of your vids. Some nice fly throughs with the Avata 2, and some nice Scotland footage etc. A lot of people recommend the Chimera 7 for a long range machine, but I’d say that the Bob is a good middle ground between the Chimera and a 5 inch freestyle so can’t do no wrong with it. It’s more down to the Lipo / Lilon for the range stuff anyway. & yeah that Ellis Van Jason vid starts off with the Ad for it, but then he goes into detail about stuff to do with design, settings etc of the Bob whilst sitting in his studio so thats probably the best resource. I’ve never flown any 5 “ so don’t have anything to compare to it, but I know I love it for my first proper fpv quad. I have a little GEPRC DoMain3.6” now also. I wanted something smaller that I could Chuck around more when learning powerloops and stuff. It’s a hectic hobby so once you get the Bob you’ll want a lid of others afterwards anyway. I was eyeing up the Afterburner myself, but I know o don’t really need it. Also the Flywoo Explorer LR4 as well as it’d be perfect for long summer cruises but I’m happy with the Bob and the DoMain for the minute ;)
