On-board the 08:55 from Inverness on Monday 17th August 2020.
It was my first trip down the route towards Kyle Of Lochalsh, so after Dingwall was completely new scenery. So for those of you who haven't been down to Kyle I decided I'd try and film as much of it as possible and upload it. I tried to include all the stops however some are missed because they were request stops and platforms were on the other side. (Many stops along the route are stop to request stations).
In terms of traffic or speed its by no means the most internesting line, but the scenery is worth the almost 3 hour journey between Inverness & Kyle alone. Incredible scenery and stunning views the entire way as you slowly weave your way through the highlands towards the atlantic coast.Great views of Loch Dughaill before heading in a south westerly direction to follow the stunning jaggered coastline of the "Inner Seas Off The Coast Of Scotland" right down to Kyle Of Lochalsh.
Kyle Of Lochalsh is a very small town, not all that much there. A fish n' chip shop near the station and a convienience store, then I boarded the 158 for its treck back to Inverness. The town is a passing point for the A87, which crosses the bridge and heads onto the adjacent island and up towards Portree.
