Lazy, Deep Purple live at Pordenone Blues Festival, Pordenone, 30th June 2023. All concert recorded in 4K. Ian Paice - drums Roger Glover - bass Ian Gillan - vocals, harmonica, percussion Don Airey - keyboards Simon McBride - guitar
78 year old, Gillan still gives it his best shot with no backing tacks or auto tune bullshit. I'll take the real you anytime Ian, Roger and Paice still trucking too, one of the best bands in history no question. Simon, you kill it dude holy smoke. I get it guys, this isn't Deep Purple from Perfect Strangers, we were all better 40 years ago. But you know what, if they still want to go at it and people pay to see it, so what? At least this isn't digital processed garbage pop.
@@steveludwig4200The guys do what they love and they do great considering their age (Simon is of course younger and a hell of guitarist!). And btw: John Lord is dead and Blackmore left almost 30 years ago.
@@Stargazer-px7fw My point was that the band without Blackmore and Lord should not be called "Deep Purple", period. Call it what it is: "Gillan, Glover and Paice"
At this point Purple has become a tribute band of themselves appropriately using a D.P. tribute band guitarist thusly rendering themselves as deep purples greatest hits live, with Gillan looking more and more like joe Biden, it's embarrassing quite frankly, I hope Glen Hughes and Coverdale get together for a tour which may be in the works, it would be fitting if they got Steve Morse to play guitar since he was screwed over by Purple for a " tribute guitarist
@@malcolmjohnston7964 the next generation doesn't give a crap about this music, if it did would the state of new music be in such decay ?, NO, old music outsells new music hands down, they were a great band up until Lords departure, they are NOT now, there comes a time to call it a day before you destroy your legacy, they refuse just as The Who and others also have done, I saw all of them in their heyday, don't lecture someone who has lived it
