Same... I really want to find and restore a canyon red 86 LX Ford Taurus wagon but they are so difficult to find now. I find more Gen 1 SHOs for sale than the regular sedans and wagons now. I'm worried the values of these are going up now because they wanted $9,000 for the wagon in the video here. Recently an 87 LX wagon went for $7,900 at auction and a canyon red LX sedan popped up with the seller demanding $10,000 for it. Nobody would have asked above $3,000 for a regular Gen 1 Taurus or Sable before October 2023.
Can't believe $9,000 was asked for this. There was an 87 LX Taurus wagon last month that the bidding went up to almost $8,000 for. Last month there was an 86 LX Taurus sedan they wanted $10,000 for. I've been searching for a 1986 Ford Taurus LX wagon for 5 years now. Had a chance to get a clean white LX wagon in 2019 from Portland but my dad got in the way. I could have gotten $1500 for it. No luck since then. I was worried the value of these were going to go up and now I probably won't be able to get ahold of one now. Nobody asked above $3,000 for one of these before October 2023. Now I'm going to not only deal with these being hard to find but higher values...
@@mattw4496 Please pray that a 1986 Ford Taurus LX wagon in medium canyon red will show up for sale for me! I know of one that exists owned by a guy in Arizona in several online groups. Never seen another one out there in that color and trim and year besides his but there has to be a few more out there...
An 8/10 example of one of these. You can tell its had its fair share of use over the last 32 years, but it was well taken care of. There's a clicking sound almost as if the turn signals are stuck?
Most likely a blendoor actuator. These are the plastic vent switches behind the dash. Such as if you put it on recirculated, something closes vent from outside.
