The lake which lies almost exactly half in Utah and half in Idaho offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and in the sunset lights up an array of beautiful, artistic colors. This video drives along the mountains just north and ends by the shores of Bear Lake just miles from St Charles, Idaho and the lakeside village of Garden City, a perfect lakeside destination for travelers, tourists, and lake-lovers.
Originally inhabited by the Shoshone Tribe, Bear Lake served a crucial piece of history for fur traders, indigenous tribes, frontiersmen such as Lewis & Clark, and many travelers heading to Oregon despite not being on the Oregon Trail itself.
