Hey guys, this is a long overdue video of Naco, one of the TOP Sectors in the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Is it as awesome as they say it is? Well, take a look for yourself!
Great video and content as always! Thanks for mentioning Plaza Naco, the first shopping center in Santo Domingo. That was the place to go in the 80's. I'm glad that is still there.
Thanks for the video; you're always so informative and accurate and I'm sure these videos help a lot to those planning on visiting or retiring here. It was great to see the park so improved. I used to go to a churros store infront of it and it was lovely seeing the dogs with their owners😍cuteness overload. I don't live close to Naco but I work at the Tiradentes Ave.Again, thanks for the video. Keep up the good work🙌❤⚘🇩🇴💯 Pa'lante.
Gracias querida for sharing and giving it to us straight up! Highlighting the positive but also what needs improvement. My parents will be relocating to DR in few years when they retired. My brother and I are looking to buy an apartment in Naco to have when we visit. Thanks again!
Hi El, as always I love your videos and your drive thru of these beautiful neighborhoods. Your absolutely right about all the wires, they take away from the area. I work for the electric company in NY and wish there were a way I could propose a project to the city to bring everything underground, it would make the visual so much better!! Thank you, keep up the great work!
Well done narration and video clarity!! Please, if there is any video or insights of Cacique in the capital that would be an excellent info for my family!! Mil gracias for todo!!
How would Naco compare with Piantini as a retirement expat neighborhood? Especially for people relying on Uber and nearby neighborhood stores and restaurants?
Thanks for the video but please invest in a better camera that has a smoother higher frame rate. The video was super choppy when you were moving. Stay pushing videos.
You can get a pretty nice apartment for rent in the area from anywhere between 900 USD to 1,500 USD. Of course there are plenty of more expensive options, but that's about the "normal" range.
Wouldn't it be nice if they could get rid of all the electrical cables on the lamp posts and bury them? They're eye sores, especially in a supposedly upscale neighborhood like NACO. BTW, I noticed that most of the people in the Arboleda park were white. Is it because they make up most the affluent Dominicans?
Very true, those cables are truly eyesores! With regards to the white people: as far as I have observed, most of the "higher tier" of society is composed of Dominicans with more "European features". This is only an observation, I don't have data to back it up, but I believe it to be a reality and it has to do with our country's history.
