FOR REAL! New K-Pop sounds so westernized! If you hear blackpinks album, you'll know what I mean. It's not even as nearly as good as 4minutes B-sides. Where are we EVER going to find new K-Pop B-sides like 4minutes "you know" "say my name" "black cat" "invitations" etc?? I feel so lucky for being exposed to this era of K-Pop 8 years ago. Soooo nostalgic
@@RememberingGooHara when I heard Blackpink’s album I was so mad because of that! And It’s not only that, even the idols feel so American at least to me...idk how to explain it but actual rookies are different
@@mateorubio8279 it's very westernized. K-Pop actually used to be culture. And not only that, it wasn't like they just featured Selena Gomez. It was almost like she was a member of blackpink.
I'm back here again. Nothing beats the old classics. When I was in 7th grade this song made me feel like I could conquer anything and today I'm a doctor. I love you 4minute. For being with me in my journey. You live in all our hearts forever ♥️
wow. we r at the same age. i created a dance crew in my school to dance this song when i was in 7th grade. kpop in that time was so "KPOP". u know what i mean right?
@@hungciutoochannel7828 Oh my goodness same! I was also in a 3 member dance group in 8th grade with my friends and we had 4minute, 2ne1, TVXQ songs in it. It was so fresh in our school, ppl didn't know what was happening but everyone loved it. Yes truly these songs are the kind of KPOP that really got me in.
I don't know why, but this song just appeared on my RU-vid home screen. Can't believe it's been 14 years release of this song and it's still fresh. Time flies fast and miss those Kpop era.
still watching in 2024. this very video is what got me into kpop back in 2010. hard to believe i'd never left a comment on it. it has been a few years since i've watched this.👍
Nobody's gonna comment about how dope Sohyun and Hyuna's raps are?! Proof Sohyun can rap! She's great at it. I love it when Sohyun raps and Jiyoon sings. It's beautiful!
+Rhea Sturgeon ik most people don't even know sohyun is a sub rapper lol. when she rapped in cold rain so many people were like WUT SOHYUN IS RAPPING SINCE WHEN and i'm like since forever?????
These is probably one of the best era for KPOP. Most of their songs are so unique, distinctive and you can differentiate every single one of them easily 😂
Remember when South Korea was blasting this song over the boarders to North Korea? And that's why this song blew up? 2010 remembers. We remember it well.
+Arina Arinza LOL thats the perfect comment i think for how everybody feels whether they want to admit it or not. i started this list on "roll deep" and i just left it going while i keep watching
Maybe your favorites did. 4minute is hot right now. SNSD didn't hit their peak until 2012-2013 ... and they even made in American TV (Letterman and Kathy Lee). Its evolving ... moving towards something that won't be purely Korean or even Asian thanks to RU-vid (even though the 'tube gives East Asians almost zero respect). They are about to break into the US market and it is popular in Europe. US artists are already starting to pick up on Kpop trends and I'm pretty sure that 4minute or F(X) .... maybe one or two of the others will break out soon.
MrBabylonandon I think ***** was talking about like the quality of the music rather than just popularity of kpop. Like the dances were easy to catch on to, most music released in this time period was always catchy, there were certainly a lot less group so you didn't feel like you were leaving any one out. And in a sense you felt like a true 'kpop' fan in because you actually knew all the groups out there. Not gonna lie, good music is still released. Really good music. I guess it's just a nostalgic thing :) And yeah I do miss when the older generation was kinda ruling
@@ChromeDonutGaming calm down point your own mistakes first then others that’s the proper Islamic teaching not “f*** you why you here “ honey we don’t do dem tings here !
This song has aged SO WELL. In fact most of their songs have. But this one sounds so iconic and epic. I'm glad I got to see them live before they split up.
I'm gonna miss 4minute. They were the first Kpop group I fell in love with, their songs were some of the first Kpop songs I ever heard, and the reason I'm a Kpop fan today. They were and still are my favorite girl group. I'm going to miss them all, but I'll especially miss Jiyoon.
This video should've crossed over to an American audience. It's the best K-pop video and song I've ever heard. This is as good or better than anything going on in America today.
SoneLuislayer we all have our preference. But I really can't see SNSD pulling off something like this concept as I find them just generally cute. They actually did try and it was not anywhere near as good as this.
SoneLuislayer Can you point out a better song by SNSD? I've previewed a lot of their songs on RU-vid and nothing I've seen comes close to this. This is a K-pop super group. I like it when Hyuna is part of the group, like this, and not out front as much.
I MISS 4MINUTE I MISS T-ARA I MISS AOA I MISS MISS A I MISS 2NE1 I MISS SISTAR I MISS KARA I MISS WONDER GIRLS I MISS Girls' Generation CAN I GO BACK TO THE PAST
***** heres more trivia for you.. did you know that South Korea blasted this song on their speakers at the DMZ as part of their psy-ops propaganda attack on N.Korea, they did this after the sinking of a Southern warship by the north..i bet those commies went crazy listening to this on repeat LOL
Omg you have no idea how lucky you seriously are to hear 2nd gen K-Pop. 4minute especially... You have got to hear their B-sides. Check out their "volume up" album
@@RememberingGooHara I actually used to listen to 4minute when I was younger but I had no idea that it was K-POP and I didn’t know that other K-POP groups existed lmao-
myLOVEforKPOP for me 1. crazy 2. huh 3. mirror. 4. hot issue 5. volume up. and they just won their first award for ''crazy'' today at mbc ''show champion.''.
I'm going to miss you girls! You all have been my favorite band ever! I'm in the USA and 4minute was my life! Good luck with the future and I hope u all don't disband! We will miss u too much! Everyone to me in 4minute was unique and beautiful in their own way. I don't want y'all to go!💘I love you 4minute!!
OMG! That makes me laugh seeing Hyuna's earring falls off her ear, it never gets old. I still miss this era of 2nd generation K-Pop idols, it was the best.
The songs 10years back were like Diamonds... I don't enjoy KPOP now the way i used to back then. All my fave bands are gone 😭.... I could anytime listen to these songs than the one nowadays....
I had just recently started listening to this band just a couple weeks ago and think their music is absolutely amazing!!! I can’t stop hitting the replay button on this song!!!!
I've loved 4Minute since 2012 and so I lost my mind when I heard this and "What's your Name" in Battlefield Hardline. I probably just stood in the room the radio was in for about 8 minutes just listening to the 2 songs. It's the greatest thing ever.
+sessange daebak i could say these years were cube's golden age lol after papa hong got sick and they changed the ceo, it started becoming so generic and basic :/ cube brought many high quality songs tho
The times when kpop still has many powerful singers and strong rapper in a group. After School, 2ne1, T-ARA, Wonder Girls, 4minute, SNSD, KARA, SISTAR, etc.
oh man the memories, this was my first ever Kpop Song and even after listening to dozens of Kpop hits, this one still remains as one of my absolute favorites.
