How much of a lift would you say you have compared to OEM,, i got a 04 and I im replacing everything for like maybe a 1" raise????? IDK im a bit of a noob. Im curious if i could fit your tires with the set up ill have
Feruhlphox I still have it! Love this truck. Now I’m looking to do Doug Thorley headers. My stock headers have the all to common hairline crack. Makes a ticking noise that drives me nuts. Doesn’t effect reliability but when I have the windows open, it’s very loud. It’s gotten worse over time. Trying to find a shop that will do the work for a reasonable price. I’ve heard the DT header and Gibson exhaust combo sounds incredible. Muscle car sound.
I have the same ticking sounds drives me nuts. But it would be a bitch to get in there and change them out. I do all my own work. Actually I put in an Old Man Emu lift in just like yours but did the Toytec rear springs. How's your lift since you did it? Still good?
Feruhlphox it's perfect. No complaints at all. How do you like the Toytec springs? I was considering getting those instead but I had OME Complete Suspension lift on a 2001 4runner and loved it. Figured I'd do the same to this one. Did you do upper control arms too? I have Camburg UCA's. Needed them to get a decent alignment.
j_mosk My 4runner has become just my adventure vechile. I have a work van now so I haven't really driven it much since I put the lift on about 1 week ago. It seems way better than what I had before. Very stiff but not too stiff. The guys on the forums online scared me away from putting on the OME rear springs. They said it was too bouncy without alot of weight in the back. I have a fridge and stove permanently mounted back there but it's not too much weight. I installed SPC upper control arms. Wasn't gonna lift without them! How long did it take for your front to settle? Mine is still sitting too high in the front.
You’re right. 275/70r17 BFG KO2’s. They were good in the snow for a while but not close to performance of proper winter tires. Some Blizzak DM-V2 would be much better in this weather.
