I've been on a 4Runner kick as they are one of my dream SUVs and I've got to say this is a great tutorial of how to install this grill. I'll be sure to come back to it when I get my 4Runner one day 😁
Was my dream car and I finally manage to for it. Don't give up hope. Save save save. The market is beginning to open up a bit but keep in mind Toyota Runners are rarely ever on sale, as they never saturate the market completely. Made only in Japan so that would be hard for them to do even if they wanted to. However, starting this fall the dealerships will be discouraged from marking them up (in some case between 5-10 thousand) as they have since 2020. Also, the 6th Gen is right around the corner, so they will have to clear their 5th Gen inventory to make room. Best of Luck, future Running mate.
Great video, thanks for posting. It's totally my own ODC but I can't stand watching people not clean dirty stuff while their doing this kind of work. LOL
PLEASE NOTE: The grille need not be yanked and should not indeed be yanked with brute force. Instead the 6 tabs should be pressed upward one at a time while releasing that side of the segment!!
ugh I'm at a road block. the part that you did in "one tug" haha.. mines not sliding right out like that. it looks like there are more clip-type things stopping it that weren't mentioned in the video
There really should only be the two clips and 10mm bolt holding that portion to the vehicle. I recommend giving it a good "wiggle" to loosen before pulling off the vehicle.
I have a 2022 off road and the upper grille removal is killing me.. I have both ends off but the tabs on the back of the Toyota logo are not budging and is stopping me on getting the upper portion off 😩😩😩
The dude said it was the oem version. So just google “Toyota 4Runner TRD pro grill”. It took me less than one minute to find the part number...pz32335056 .
Where is a good place to purchase the legacy grill? So many people have the same white 4Runner as I do, so I think it would be good to be original and get the same one as you. Thanks!
(PZ323-35058 Garnish & PZ327-35056 Upper Grille) just got mine same year and trim as yours. Ordered from Larry H Miller Toyota Salt Lake City, lowest price I found for OEM parts.larryhmillertoyota.com
Hi! I cannot get assurance from my Toy dealer that these part numbers will fit on the 2022 TRD ORP; PZ327-35053, PZ323-35056, and the black lower valance 53901-3520. Can you please help. I don't wish to be stuck with 600 bucks worth of parts I can't use. Thanks!
I also have a brand new 2021 sr5..toyota web site says it wont fit my 2021.... 2020&2021 have the safety sense panel im guessing thats why... ive seen one of the after market kits has a notch at the bottom of the fasia panel for the safety sence panel in the lower grill
I’ve got a 22 SR5 is it possible to just get the heritage grill without the bottom valance OEM my bottom valance is color matched white and would like it to stay that way?
It may be because you didn't select TRD Pro trim level and the site thinks it only fits that trim. Maybe someone with a 2016 could weigh in but I wouldn't think it's an issue.
As this is a Toyota OEM grille, the lettering was pre-installed and required no additional steps to attach the letters to the grille. That being said, I believe the manufacturer used clips to attach the lettering.
To my knowledge, the same grille should work with the 2019 ORP. Mine is a 2018 ORP. I recommend comparing the new upper grille portion to the one you removed from the vehicle. All clips and screw holes should line up.
I think there are sensors in the newer models that the grille may interfere with. I would suggest calling your local dealership to get the correct part for your model year.
Not sure about this. One way to find out is to try it and see. If it doesn't work after that, you can just peel the plastidip off of the sensors. Dipyourcar says that it shouldn't affect your sensors.
Sorry, you asked about the TRD pro grille, not the Plasti dip... If you buy the older version of the grille you would have to Dremel areas out of the middle where the sensor is. If you buy the newer version of the pro grille it will already have the areas notched out.
@@9to5Escape got it! Yea I just doubled checked earlier. I need the grille trim for 2020-2021 that has the black bar with the cuts in them. Thanks for the quick info!
I thought it was a fairly easy install. If you still don't feel confident after watching the video then maybe have someone help you or get someone else to install it.
@@9to5Escape I installed it myself on my 2021 SR5 Premium. The lil downside is that when I applied the garnish part, I placed it a lil too far to the right.
I would confirm the fit with a local dealer. I believe the newer 4runners have front sensors that the bumper may interfere with and require a different part number.
It works, did mine with an SR5 2020, just to add one thing though, you have to sacrifice the two chrome strips, was not a problem for me cuz’ i hate chrome.
Sir can you answer our question please do you have link for those 2 things so we can buy it ....don’t make a video if your not answer out question its gonna be useless video if you not answering the question. Thank you sir.
I got mine from mcgeorge online parts, both OEM the upper: toyotaparts.mcgeorgetoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-grille-radiator-up-pz32735056?yotpo_token=5cb22021d761cf49d5df1915278b546d7d7ab508& the garnish: toyotaparts.mcgeorgetoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-garnish-fr-bumper-pz32335058 came out to about $450 with shipping
@@leelaiabraha227 hey thanks for sharing that link, I have SR5 2014, did they sell this to you without owning a trd pro 4runner? Or without the VIN number of a Toyota 4runner pro?. Also were you able to fit this on a SR5? Or similar? Please answer friend
