Thanks everyone for comments and a big thanks to Chris! For this opportunity! I passed my driving test today !! Good luck to everyone for the future ❤️☺️
I used to watch your videos about 2 years ago when I was learning to drive, youtube suggested me this video. Wow, lots of improvement been made, especially extra camera angles + the speedometer
I have passed my driving test this morning after many failed test this videos really helped me a lot without them I dnt think I would have passed thank you so much sir for your dedication and good videos and good luck with any 1 taking their test
Natalie did really well, very pleased she passed 😀 I have my license but don't get to drive very often, these videos keep my knowledge of the road fresh, thanks World Driving!
22:43 That car behind was out of order. Shouldn't of beeped at the learner driver to go . The light only just went green. Which is when you go if safe. Not when its red and amber. Natalia did well to not react to it and panic
I believe that driver beeped so as to make the learner driver ahead aware of the change of lights, thereby actually providing assistance of when to go. If I were in the car and stressing out and overwhelmed by the occasion, I'd be grateful for that kind of help.
Hi! Congratulations on passing your driving test first time with no faults. Superb result. Thanks for watching our videos. Keep up the safe driving and enjoy it 🙂
These videos are great. Just passed today 6th time with 4 minors, 1st with my new examiner. If any of you feel like you are at a wall with your learning, feel free to switch examiners, my 1st one was not great, and you should not feel guilty for doing so. If I had done this before, I would have likely saved alot of money! These videos were also a great help. Good luck to anyone taking their exam soon, relax and remember that it is just a normal driving lesson.
I was so nervous today and the days running up to my test, but thankfully today I passed first time! Thank you Chris, your videos really helped especially the show me tell me questions. I genuinely watched that about 10 times to get them to sink in! 😂
Agree with others, one of the best with Chris' voice and Natalia's great driving and personality. So glad that she passed and I am glad I am only watching this now :D
There was a good opportunity of almost passing without a serious fault. I thought she done brilliant driving and kept very safe. I totally understand the bay park as I was told to do exactly what you said about avoiding a serious on test Chris. I wasn't quite sure about the junction if I would have gone or not as I'm only just beginning. Although she failed Natalie was good and safe. Good luck to you as well with your videos Chris 🙂
@@joosiej85 Because it's extremely inconvenient to make people redo their theory test and it is merely an excuse for the DVLA to make yet more money out of learners. The practical driving tests (with accommodating lessons) are _very_ expensive and the tests often have a ~3 month waiting period (unless you get lucky with cancellations). This combined with the fact that most learners are young adolescents (typically in education, i.e. university) who may need to hold off doing lessons/tests to an appropriate time or when they can afford it. This happened to me - I passed with few months to spare but I didn't need the extra unnecessary pressure. Being restricted to just 2 years to pass your practical is impractical in itself. If the lady in this video failed her practical test then she will now have to do her theory again... but why? It's stupid.
@@kizwiz6 Oh I agree it is inconvenient... but so are many things, welcome to adult life ;) I should think the point is that people have probably started to forget what they studied for their theory after 2 years. It doesn't "restrict" people to passing their practical within 2 years... you don't have to take your theory test before you start driving...
@@joosiej85 Actually, imo, adult life should be about challenging such policies you think are unjust. As adults, we have the power to influence change particularly by politics. For example, I can write and complain about this to my local MP/council. Where is the evidence people start to forget? What's next, enforcing a mandatory theory test for people who passed their practical 10, 20 years ago? The lady in this video had her theory test expiring on the same day as her practical; she commented on here that she had passed that test. If she can pass her practical 2 years after doing her theory then that's proof she didn't forget and is capable of driving. But she was *1 day* away from her 'theory test' claiming she isn't eligible to drive despite her passing this before. It's nonsense. But you _are_ still restricted to *PASSING* your driving test within 2 years of your theory test though. Yes, you can drive with just a provisional and take lessons long before your theory but why should we discourage people from educating themselves about the road signs & potential hazards before even stepping into the driver seat just because of this theory test expiration restriction? The DVLA just want to make yet more money despite rolling in the bank after selling millions' of people's personal data to private parking firms.
@@jessop5125 Then why isn't it mandatory to retest everyone? What about baby boomers or the elder generations who never had a theory test? Again this lady passed with one day to spare and now will never need to do her theory again (unless she lost her licence). She's competent enough to drive and proved she knew her theory knowledge 2 years ago. Very little has even changed since then. Else, make the re-test *FREE* for people who have already passed. It's corporate greed and nothing else.
Being too cautious and delay in utilizing the opportunity seems bit frustrating and makes one skinny on all further moves. Need to stay relaxed and enjoy the ride instead.
My instructor lets me have it everytime I forget to signal off a mini roundabout. Having watched this, now I don't know what to think. :-S Great work on passing Natalie!
got my driving test in 2 hours, watching this and more videos like mad this morning haha, good video well done natalie on passing your real test.. this video has helped me calm down ( a little )
Hesitation just puts extra unnecessary pressure on the learner . I'd rather take my time .be safe than rush and stall in the middle of the road . If u take way too long to go yes deserves a fault . But just cz she prefers to make sure b4 going . It shouldn't be a fault . That's just being picky .
Fail for parking too wide? WTF? In real life, she would reverse 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 times, until she will do this closer to the kerb, so nobody will be hurt! That's fuckin' insane! I have no words!
@@mrmushin1 yeah i guess you can say that but i picked up driving very fast and i was really good at it. some people progress differently.done my theory like 1 month before my lessons so i go that out of the way. past my theory 2nd time with 47/50 and hazard 65/75. first time i got 41/50 and 58/75 for hazard
Got mine 2nd time around on the 6th, got back into it about 3 weeks ago after a 4 month break took to it surprisingly well, hope I pass this time so can make my college travel easier & make my dreams come true after leaving a job I hated!
Chris 4.01 . She is stalling car while pulling 2nd gear and path of others. I have seen even 10 year experienced guy stalling similar way. is it safety and dangerous issue in manual car right.Im worried about these.
Always enjoy these videos. One question though, I've always been told when moving off not to signal unless it benefits someone, also not to sit with indicator on whilst doing observations so as to not influence other road users, at most a quick signal as moving off if appropriate. Anything else potentially shows lack of observation? Yet on a lot of RU-vid videos I see people signalling early and no driving faults noted, could you clarify the correct procedure please?
Hi! Thanks for watching. You'll very rarely need to start the whole thing again, just moving forward and turning whichever way that's needed fixes things and then reversing again if necessary 🙂
No I would not have stoped at that junction. I would have looked ahead in advance to see if there was any on coming traffic and if it was clear would have kept driving. Natalie did not need to stop imo as there was no oncoming traffic at the time Natalie reached the junction. She had plenty of time to go before the traffic caught up with her.
Where I live the test seems harder as we have to drive thru multiple lane roundabouts, double carriageways, motorways etc, but I only see residential areas in your tests, are these the only areas the real tests are taken in your area?
@@jessop5125 Can't certainly travel far if the avg speed is about 10mph :) I think Natalie used it to her advantage. In fact, her entire drive to me was just 1 driving fault: undue hesitation. Therefore - under current rules - enough to warrant a pass... *sigh*
@@jessop5125 Nothing quite like what we've witnessed in this video. Well done! Imho driving on dual carriageways, express ways and motorways should become a routine part of any practical driving test. As should driving in challenging conditions or night time driving, for example. Oh well I can dream can't I :)
Does the examiner knows how many previous attempts have we done? I failed two time not sure if they have this history and with this information how much it impacts your test they try to grill you more ?
Unlucky ! I’ve drove since 1990 and only took my driving theory and driving test since the law changed and they was allowed to seize your vehicle, and the 3 points fine ect! The traffic cop that stopped me did so on an hunch, not anything I did wrong.he let me off with the seizure of my old corsa ,but still got 3 points and a fine and only because a friend had a tow truck to put my car on! Anyway that spurred me on to get my licences, but still took 3 theory tests and I passed my driving test on the 4th time in June this year! So even clocking up 29 yrs of driving with not one accident or claim on my insurance you can still fail our driving test!
"I really liked the way she waited for the road to be clear before the signalled". Ummmm, isn't the whole purpose of the signal to let other people of your intention to change direction/lane? Wouldn't it be more correct to signal when you want to move and then only move after the road is clear?
Hi! No, wait for it to be clear or the other drivers might think you're going to pull out in front of them. Also if they stop to let you go then that could be a problem on the test :)
Hi! Good points. Signal if there's anyone around to benefit (or you're unsure if it could benefit anyone) but signalling to move off and waiting for 5 minutes at the kerb because there's continuous traffic behind is not benefiting anyone. Don't forget a signal potentially helps pedestrians, cyclists, oncoming road users and ones further behind. But don't signal if it could mislead or cause confusion 🙂.
Yeah this is what they teach us in Australia - signalling shows your intention and gives the other drivers plenty of warning of what you’re trying to do, especially on busy roads, so for instance people will make a gap for you in their lane so you can move across. I also was taught to signal any time you’re changing lanes, pulling up, or moving off, regardless of how much traffic there is. We’d get a fault if we didn’t signal even if the road was empty.
Dear Sir /Chris. I got a serious fault on my test for undue hesitation. Please correct me if I'm wrong. How comes Natalie didn't get a serious fault for undue hesitation. Overal really enjoyed this video. Thank you so much
@@danielleburrell2907 Dear Sir. I was behind a bus, all of a sudden the put on his hazard lights on. So I then had to switch lanes. It was very busy on my right . That's were I got a undue hesitation serious fault.
SHplayz 2k5 If it was only for one thing then the examiner might’ve thought you caused someone problems, maybe forcing them to stop or move around you?
Hey Chris, I'd like to take a driving license in the UK. What's the procedure for taking a license there? How is the driving test going to be conducted? I'm from India and I already have a driver's license in India. I'm quite intrigued about the driving test in the UK as I believe it's one of the most challenging ones where you need to put your driving skills at their level best to pass the test.
I saw a driving test in India where someone drove the length of a back road and passed! Ha! Here you have to pay to do a theory test on a computer, then if you pass a road test that lasts 45-50mins! Paying for both.if you fail the theory you cannot take the road test! It’s the hardest driving test in the world, but as a rule we have good drivers on our roads!
@@anthonyboreham3052 Have to disagree with that, ive come across way too many drivers who have 0 road awareness, and some of the things they make you do in a test are stupid. I.E feeding the wheel through your hands, Its much more easier and controllable to let them spin through your hands as proven on multiple videos from Driving based channels. Some questions from the theory are also quite ridiculous, for example, knowing the minimum legal tread depth of a tire (1.6mm). I mean come on, how many people actually have a tire check gauge? Nevermind actually checking them.
@@anthonyboreham3052 It's defenitely not the hardest in the world compared to some European standards, coming from a Polish background we find the English driving test quite easy :) but then again it all depends on your individual driving abilities and how well prepared you are:)
@@anthonyboreham3052 Thank you. In India, the driving tests as so easy that anybody can pass it with flying colors. It also consists of a theory test which is a computer-based one for the learner's license. The criteria for learner's license is that you need to drive with a person who has a valid driver's license. Then you have to appear for the real test at the completion of one month after you obtain your learner's. The test is very simple. For motorcycle, you just have to take an '8' by going around the path marked as 8 without touching the metal rods which will be placed vertically around the path and after that you have to pass a road test where you just need to exhibit some basic hand signals. For car or lmv, you have to take an 'H' in the same manner as I have explained above and then finally you need to pass a road test to obtain your driver's license.
Hi Chris, I remember in the beginning of the video, she said that her test is on the 12th August, that's was the day that you uploaded this video. What was the end result on her actual test, did she pass in the end?
For me I use clutch and foot break instead of handbrake . Because when ever I use hand -break on red light I always forgets to put it down. That’s the reason I don’t use it anymore. I only use the hand-break when am stopping or parking the car . Can you fail ur driving text for not using hand-break when ever stopping in Red-Light ?
