Chris can you please make a video on how to park next to a kerb between 2 cars . I have my own car but can't parked next to kerb properly . My car always sticks out
I'VE FINALLY PASSED! I've been watching this video so much leading up to the test, as I personally like seeing good driving rather than loads of mistakes. Passed with 4 minors. Thank you so much!
Love how he talked his way through his mock, this is something my instructor encouraged me to do and I wish I started doing it sooner...it helps so much with your driving as you talk about what you see on the roads and what you are going to do next before you do it. Well done young lad 👍🏾
@@Adrian-wk4eq Well done Adrian! Also love the "roger that" in the very beginning! That's a phrase I have been practicing not to use, but makes me giggle whenever I hear someone else using it!
@@Adrian-wk4eq It's an aviation thing. I'm not sure about the military use of the word 'Roger' to be honest, but in aviation it merely suggests that "I have received your last transmission" and it is okay to use it in some situations, but most of the time you need to 'read-back' some of the transmission you just received -- to eliminate errors. For example I can say "Golf India Zulu, Going around" and the tower -- who can probably see me going around, can say "Golf India Zulu, Roger". But in most situations you do need to read-back some parts of the message e.g. If tower says "November One Tango Bravo, via holding point Alpha, line-up and wait runway Two Three, one aircraft to depart before you from holding point Alpha Two", then you should reply "Via holding point Alpha One, line-up and wait runway Two Three, number two for departure, November One Tango Bravo". Simply saying "Roger" wouldn't be acceptable here! That's why I'm saying I'm trying to not use it very often and do it only when it's safe! In your case, Chris should have said "Adrian, maintain present heading, at the end of the road, turn right" and you should have said "Present heading, turn right at the end of the road, Adrian" :P
I’ve got my test in about 2 hours!! Going to be channeling my inner Adrien today 🤞🏻 Edit: I passed this morning, first time with 1 driving fault! These videos helped so much with what to expect and how to get the best out of the test. Thank you Chris!!
right i sont care what anyone says , but world driving has made a diffrence , took my driving test 1st time passed 6 minor. thank you to all the videos and mock test trust me it works , sit down everday without fail and watch the videos , if you really want to pass driving test , swap this channel for netflix!!!! thank you world driving .... i could have dropped this message on other videos but this is the video i watched 3 times.... whats the point in watching a video once !!
Me too on Thursday! Been driving since Friday. I couldn't believe it and the girl in the car next to me started getting loud and emotional being she passed. It still hasn't hit me I don't think. Not until my next lie in.
Mitchell C yay congrats!! Aw haha, I still have to wait for a car. Wasn’t allowed to have a car until I’d passed ☹️ I actually went to school with the girl who was coming back as I was getting out the car. She’d also passed!
This is the last video I watched before my driving test today and it was successful, Just want to say thank you your videos helped me alot to gain confidence to pass my test. Thanks again.
@@jerichamesclammay3107 Had fewer minors on my test, though, hehe. [-> 5]. Can say I improved from the time of the mock to the time of the test. Thanks for the warm thoughts. :)
To me this just a perfect example of how doing your test in your instructor's car in your own local area is a LOT different to driving mock test videos where people do it in a different area, with a different instructor in a different car. (I know he didn't, but like, yeah.)
Thanks for listening to my advice on the pedal cam this should help many new drivers what to do and not to do with their feet . Not setting gas when moving is a major cause for accidents especially on busy roundabouts 👍👍
Mock tests are such a great essential so we can all reflect on any faults made that can be improved on. I can remember my first mock test and failed for not checking my left blind spot for a bus/cycle lane. I passed my test less than a week ago but I still enjoy watching these videos as I believe that anyone who’s passed are proved to be safe on the road yet we are still learning to be the best independent driver possible afterwards. Well done for passing your test Adrian you should be really proud of yourself 😊👏🏻👏🏻
Today I drove for my driver's test in South Africa. Was incredibly nervous because I was doing it using a manual transmission truck, not a big truck with a trailer, just a normal van type truck with a flat bed. I passed the yard test really well and somehow passed the road test with quite a few driving faults, thankfully I prevented them from being serious. If it were not for World Driving supplementing me whilst attending lessons on my own, I probably would not have passed and just want to say thanks for uploading these videos, I will keep watching as my test did not go perfectly but I did pass and still have much to learn. Thanks man.
30.05 Cross-roads sign 110 yds displayed also has a yellow background to highlight. 30.10 "Take the next road on the right please" verbal instructions from the examiner are much closer to junctions than sat-nav instructions. In this case examiner says "It's coming up soon". This second verbal information from examiner is implying that you are going to fast i.e. MSM -PSL is going to be hurried if you do not slow down now. Note also, significant downhill, speeding the car up, blind bend and double white lines. In the event this right turn ended up a bit ragged as a result as explained in narration. Driving examiners will say things occasionally to help you out. Listen for this type of thing and think why has he/she said that.
Passed my test first time with 2 minors. These videos were a massive help. I didn't have private practice and I had about 28 lessons. Thanks guys, virtual coffee once I recover from insurance costs 😂😂
I love watching your channel. Even though i passed my test 27 years ago in a different country (Australia but luckily for me we drive on the same side) i still find myself thinking "Oh...i never realised you could do it like that!" You learn something new everyday i guess 😁😁😁
This was so except able for mock test. Just like me, sometimes gears on roundabouts can be a little tricky. I am pleased this year 2019 you have had someone pass mock test on world driving RU-vid channel Chris 🙂. I'll see you next video 😉
He would have gotten an instant fail in Australia the first time he didn't have at least one hand on the wheel!! He did a great job!! he knows what he wants to work on and is mindful to keep that in the fore front of his thoughts while driving. I glad he got his licence!!
I am here to say thanks for everything. I have actually learned a lot from this channel. Not only passed my driving test for the first time today but also gained much informations about driving cars.
Hi Paul. I believe would count as a minor as you could indicate without any action [time in which you're checking the mirrors] and confuse other road users, like for example someone who engaged in overtaking you right at that moment.
amazing commentary and Adrian's reactions and observations/looking around before moving off made me laugh! Well done Adrian and teacher, you both made this exprience fun for me.
Watched this vid this morning before my test, it really helped! I was nervous *as hell* and Adrian's fine driving nailed home that above all just drive safely and keep checking the mirrors & blindspot all the bloody time. And expect a fault or two as you move out for the first time during the test, that's when people are at their most nervous (definitely me), i love that! I passed with 3 minors, and definitely didn't expect to pass. So thanks for your vids Chris, by far the best learners' videos I found online. And the most calming voice :)
Hi! Thanks for your nice, encouraging comment. Pleased you liked the videos and of course, congratulations to you on passing your driving test. Keep up the safe driving and enjoy it 🙂
Passed my test first time today . Thanks to world driving videos. Spent all my spare time watching the videos and definitely learnt a lot from Chris . 👍🏼
Hello, I passed my test at the first time of trying this morning and obviously I only had two weeks after lockdown to brush up with my instructor. Your videos really helped fill in some of the gaps during lockdown, especially with these mock tests, which helped me refine the small details. Without this I'm not sure I would have been able to jump back in my instructors car and be as on top of my game. Thanks, my thoughts of with those learners who are ready to pass but might encounter bad luck on their test, I really wasn't looking forward to another 5 month test date, so best of luck to everyone!
I wish my test was guna b on roads like this! My city, is jusht traffic lights, followed by hill starts and mini roundabouts, with cars parked up and down all the roads 😢 this area looks like dream driving 🙂
I passed my UK driving test on the 1st attempt (17th December 2021) from Guildford with 7 driving faults. Thank you very much for all your videos. These helped me a lot.
Hi World Driving. I need advice on using the side mirrors in order to estimate how close I am to the left side of the road. I'm quite a short person at 5'3; whenever i'm in a tight situation my instructor always tells me to move over more to the left and to do so by looking at the left side mirror. Whenever I look at the left mirror I don't know what to look for and it doesnt really help me to position myself. Do you have any ideas on how to improve positioning and how to utilise side mirrors to do so? Thanks.
Hey! You can lower them if you are shorter, and you need the reference points, ones that you need to set earlier. From when you are parked, on your left. So you can tell how far you need to be from the kerb. These reference points usually are set when you first start to drive with your instructor. Chris also has a few videos where he speaks and illustrates a few, especially when parking. Try to see those and if you can apply them yourself. Best of luck :)
When he was on the hill waiting for traffic to go by at 9:30 couldn’t he of just put his indicators on and maybe someone would’ve let him pass or should you wait in those situations?
That roundabout at 10:00 looks tricky. If you don't have a sat nav, how are you supposed to know which lane you need to be in if there isn't one of those huge signs showing all the exits?
Hey Andrew. you're right, this roundabout is a bit un-marked. But on the exam, the examiner would tell you which exit to take if no sat nav in place. :)
