you need to get a hold of the original 4wdcation DVD Fraser trip with Pat. The one you did where you started the video under milo talking about lanolin lintel. Still the best DVD to date
In Europe where we have salt on the roads in the winter, i use lanolin based stuff as well. Its called fluid film but probably works the same. Another great product is Owatrol oil, wich creeps in rust and then drys like a thin paint, verry good on a frame with surface rust, because it builds a solid layer with the rust and does not wash away over time. I use it on rusted parts before the sheepy smelly stuff is used.
There's been a few changes to the wheels I've noticed. First you were on Sunraysia's with Federals, then onto the KM3's, now the round hole Dynamics with Cooper tyres. I'm particularly curious as to why you changed to different Dynamics, since I'll be buying some myself in due course. Thanks Rooth!
Hi Roothy, Could you please tell me what are the headlights in Milo 2 and where do you get them and what wattage are they equivalent to or how bright ? How do you find them driving of a night without street lighting , are the bright on high beam ?
OK, they're Ignite, they're not cheap but they're the best thing ever. I don't use driving lights any more and the bright low beam pattern is awesome. Low draw on power too. They're so good we advertise them on my web page - have a look for more details. roothy.com.au/products/ignite-headlight-inserts/
Mate I've used this steal seal 5 weeks before going on a beach trip and omg the sand sticks to chassis terribly it is so badly stuck to the chasis that even after the 5th wash and 2 months later the sand is still attached, is this how it is meant to work? How do i get all this sand off?
I've used Citriforce to get it off but otherwise you're 'stuck' with it - after a decent session on the sprinkler I just use another hit of Lanotec HD oil on top of the lot - soaks in and works a treat.
can i give you a homework assignment - please cross reference these Au products with USA stuff...yup asking you do do my work - but betting you have the answers.. :) - beach bound this weekend - and usually all i do is wash her after we exit....but then again we don't drive through sea foam ... yup saw that one as well
Wish I could help mate - google up lanolin US and look for a citric based degreaser. Do not use a commercial underbody washing rig, they recycle water so the salt is always there. Try and get a lawn tractor sprinkler or just sit your truck on a sprinkler on the lawn if you can. Have fun!
@@JOHNROOTHROOTHY thanks - i actually did that and found in my shop i have an aerosal can of fluid film - lanolin based - they have a product for under coating - thanks heeps as ya say down under. :)
