4x4 Adventure Around Tasmania - January 2015 | alloffroad.com.au/
This is the story of 3 young fellows in search of adventure on the beautiful island of Tasmania or short Tassie. In this video we have Mark and Jo in the Defender 130, Simon in the Discovery 2 and myself in the Defender 110.
We venture from north to east to west and back to the north exploring this magnificent state of Australia. We drove quite a few iconic and reasonably difficult tracks like Climis, Peyengana Jeep Track and Mt Huxly. We came face to face with poisonous snakes, blood sucking Leeches, spiky Echidna's, drove deadly waterfall tracks and overall had a great time exploring so please sit back, grab a coffee or beer and watch the adventure unfold...

JuzzyQld the turn is the entree to the crossing, certainly got our adrenalin levels up with the Defenders which don't have the best turning circle, there is not much room for error on this one

Next time you come to tassie make sure you check out montezuma falls. It's like a couple hours driver from Devonport and then there's an hour long 4wd track that goes to the water fall and there's two tracks to take easy and hardcore. The easy is as hard as you want it unless you have trophy trucks (you will understand if you ever go there and look up the hardcore track). It's a very pretty waterfall and a very fun 4wd track. At the end of the track there's a little car park to stop and have a picnic at but make sure not to get bogged lol

yes it was on our radar but I think the info said you would need a clean truck and permit and we could not do that on a Sunday. Heard it's a great track

AllOffroad 4x4 Adventures TV haha we didn't when we went, our 4wds had mud and dust and webs and we didn't have permits. We might be talking about different tracks maybe, not sure. It is worth it though if you do choose to go there

hi guys, I hope you get this message, first of all, what an amazing video showing off our beautiful state, I wish we got to see you do Balfour, next time maybe, second of all, I'd love to know the set-up of the vehicles and also the route you took. I'm from tassie and still live here, I have not done many of the tracks you showed and would love to take my partner, her daughter and a few friends in their Jeep over the same tracks. I have a 105 series cruiser with 3" lift, 33's (going to 35's mid year) and a winch etc etc, my friend has a Jeep with the same mods, would you think that's suitable for these tracks? cheers guys, Dion.

hi Dione, you should be fine with the cruiser just make sure you have lockers, or LSD's, none of the tracks we did were to extreme but still great fun. Yes would have loved to do Balfour but on the other hand, we had a bit rain and I also don't like my truck filled with mud :-)

zhaooopu 110 is lifted 3" and 130 is lifted 2"

yes it fit, castor correction is recommended but you need to check for you individual truck. you will need -25 offset wheels

I run two UHF's so one antenna per UHF

Oh, ok. I'm curious, not heckling: why two uhfs? I'd like to run separate vhf and uhf antennas, but my radio -- yaesu ftm-350 -- only has one antenna port, and I don't want the losses of a switch. So, I have a dual-band Larsen. If I'm correct, you want antennas at least 1/4 wavelength apart, but for uhf that's not much distance.

No problem, I run two UHF so not sure with vhf and UHF mine are about 1m apart and never had an issue, run one on group Chanel and one on general Chanel and as back up

fair enough mate but ask 20 people and everyone will tell you a different thing he likes or dislikes so it will be impossible to make it right for evereyone..... because of copyright it's also not that easy to get good music, fortunately, you can just turn it down though if it's annoying to you

Hi again mate when you come over next be sure to do climies track again we had massive rains late last year and the track is prob 3 times harder now but unfortunately there has been a lot of chicken tracks made oh and make sure you invite me

when does the 4 wheeling start??? ..about 23 min in. i live in canada you have a beautiful country .. in northern canada alot of these roads are easier than we have just to get to town...i used to drive a 20 ton truck on the winter roads here and i drove through some real tough places worse then most of this. at -51 .. start a company like this in canada.. you would make a killing.. your trucks would have to be beefed up a bit but you would love it.do you guys have a land anchors there?...good video ...

that's a shame. her they are really hard on the structure of the vehicle. no emissions,have to run mud flaps.not much else .the structure and body integrity and everything that came factory has to work.exhaust has to run past the cabin before it can stop.we drive highway trucks on these roads all winter long.. every year some go through.but wow is it fun.. money is unbelievable too..

Discos are essentially the same drivetrain, so I assume a similarly-modded disco would go the same places. I liked my D2 as I could sleep in the back, and was 1/10th the price of a D90, and 1/20th of a 110. Also far more comfortable than a Defender.
