You both did AWESOME!! It doesn't matter that Desi's run was short and then broke. I re-watched her run and she definitely would have won her race if the drive-shaft didn't break. She had the hoke-shot off the start, but then "POP! BANG!! RATTLE, RATTLE!!! DONE!!!!
The more you do it ,the better You'll will get. You are learning the sport. When you full get the car build it will come together. Just be safe and have fun and never stop wanting to learn the sport

Just a tip, anytime that you feel something break on your car when at the track, obviously slow down if you are on a pass, but second always always pull off to the side of the track! If you are leaking fluid it's best to not dump it all right in middle of the lane but on the side is better. It's a good habit to get into because if you are racing this won't be your last time dumping fluids of some sort on the ground!! Glad everyone is ok that's all that really matters!!
I'm glad you guys had fun and everyone is safe. I feel like when the eps or whatever system kicked on during the first race I would have stopped there. It would have prevented what happened afterwards but that's just me. Great content and hope the 4x4 hellcat can be back on the track soon again.

As soon as I heard the noise while she was in the car I knew it was a drive shaft! That's a bad break! Very sad. Better luck next time, Jose'.. The Gainsville, Florida Drag Speed Way track is very sticky. I've been there once and they wouldn't let me race.

Listen to the guys who’ve been doing it and for heavens sake… put your wife in a racing suit with nomex underwear! You’ve got her only once, man! I know FL is hot AF… tell me about it, I live in Orlando 😄…. But you can wash cloth, you can’t wash burned skin! One last thing, you and your wife need to make it a muscle memory, the car fails, unbuckle and get the F outta dodge and leave the car! Again you’ve Phoenix, you know you’ll rebuild, you can’t do that with a burned body!
