@@stickmansgarage9452 I built the former SSP coupe featured on my RU-vid page, the Smog Legal Killer in Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords when Evan was there--he's another legend in the industry in my eyes! I like everything you're posting, keep it up! Thanks!
The guy in the black shirt with the pony on it is Evan Smith , he used to write for 5.0 magazine before it changed names. That guy is awesome I've learned a ton reading his stuff.
donald darnell THAT’S Evan Smith?! Damn, shoulda got his autograph...😃 Be sure to check out & subscribe to his channel, REVan Evan, part of the UTG Universe Donald, if you remember the early days of 5.0 Mustang magazine, were you around to read Cars Illustrated?
Hey Neil, I just saw this on my way in to work... looking forward to seeing the movie in its entirety on Uncle Tony’s channel. Cool that you still have your ‘87!
My first brand new car was a red 85 Mustang GT 5-speed with 3:08 gears and t-tops and no ac, because racecar. I've been a 5.0 man ever since. And yes I remember Cars Illustrated magazine.
Yeah, I started out in high school with a base model 70 Challenger. The 383 hipo engine was the only option. Got rid of it because of the 9 mpg option.
This is a throwback! I read about all you guys! Still have my 89LX and my 79 Cobra! Although life has taken over I still have them and they both run! Will be watching for more!
@@stickmansgarage9452 yup. Just found your video's! I never got those issues. My first issue of MM&FF was the one with the Yellow 85 on the cover. I always read about them and looked at shows for copies but never found them. I have years of MM&FF in a plastic bin.
👍 Hey Stick Man’s Garage, Luke here from ( Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺 Absolute AWeSome Work on this Video Man, I can’t wait to watch your channel grow! 😊 Plus get some ideas for my race car, thank you! 🏎👌😆
I love mustangs and everything ford. I am brand loyal. It’s funny mustangs got almost too popular and almost not cool anymore because everyone else had one. There’s a reason. They are the best muscle car ever made. Great content and video. Would love a longer one. Keep it up
We’ll talk more about this subject In the mid 80s the 1st Gen Camaro was considered the Me Too! Car. Seemed everyone raced one, had one, wanted one. The GM guys quickly jumped on the opportunity to turn that around on us as soon as the 5.0 cars started popping up everywhere. Many driven by former Chevy guys tired of getting beat in their IROCs
Wow ask bernie I still have a lot of my old magazines I would read the ask Bernie collum to try to find out some of the problems I was having with my Stang’s
charlie ryan Yeah, we kinda did. It was very cool. Especially, having grown up hearing & reading about the 60/70s muscle car era, factory drag teams, performance clinics & magazine drag tests. We got to live our own version of that, make great friends and share it all with you guys. Charlie, did you read Cars Illustrated?
Stick Man's Garage Im 44 years old and used to read MM&Fast Fords & Evan Smith made constant references about you and Tony. I really loved that Tony & you were local guys and had the car world scratching their heads wondering how the hell are these guys making 15-16 second cars go into the low 13s!! 💪🏻🇺🇸👍🏻
charlie ryan Thanks Charlie. But they WEREN’T 15-16 second cars. That’s the point. They were 13-14 second cars depending on the location & conditions. Ford gave us unexpected torque & horsepower in a cheap package. All we did was apply proven drag race principles to the cars and report the results
Uncle Tony sent me the second I'm off probation I'm going to have a massive amount of questions for you I hope you answer them I have an 89 foxbody I know nothing about other than it's fast it has an elder Brock performer fuel injected intake has the red fuel injectors underdrive pulley system and the frame rails are connected it has some weird thing plugged into the computer not sure what that is
Talk to the guys at RAM clutches. Give them all the details on the car & how you enjoy it (how hard you drive it). If the car is heavy and/or you use sticky tires you’ll need a “real” clutch, not some HD street replacement.
i want to see this video soo bad. even more so now that i seen a black capri in the footage. i also own a black capri and is my favorite car of all time.
