5/13/24 Open Board Meeting: New Standards on General Responsibilities of Auditor, Quality Control 

The PCAOB held an open meeting on Monday, May 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. ET.
At the meeting, the Board adopted a new auditing standard - AS 1000, General Responsibilities of the Auditor in Conducting an Audit - together with other amendments to PCAOB standards.
The Board also adopted a new quality control standard - QC 1000, A Firm’s System of Quality Control - together with other amendments to PCAOB standards, rules, and forms.
