This happened in Northeast Arkansas. This storm was INSANE. I knew storms were coming but once they got close it looked like we were going to be missed. The storm actually wasn't coming towards us at all but once it got close it developed in our direction and quickly got more intense! In the video you will see a funnel cloud develop and almost touch the ground. Behind the camera there was a confirmed EF2 tornado that was tearing up houses and power lines. You can see the power flashes from the EF2 reflecting off of the funnel cloud in front of the camera! At this point there was still no tornado warning for this location because these funnels and tornadoes were quickly spun up and on the ground before they were detected, they actually made it halfway through town before the sirens sounded! This is one of the few storms that actually got me a little nervous. Just knowing that 2 tornadoes were that close to my location at the same time without me knowing it was crazy to me. The national weather service arrived the morning after the storm and determined there was actually 3 tornadoes in the area, the north one did little to no damage, the middle one did EF2 damage (right behind the camera) and the most southern tornado did EF1 damage for a short distance. These 3 tornadoes were all within 4 miles of each other! Definitely a night I won't forget! Thanks for watching! If you liked this video be sure to subscribe for more!

This video gave me chills. I just finished surviving the tornado in Rogers, Arkansas that tore down gorgeous, old trees resulting in roads being blocked all through town. NWS said there were numerous tornadoes which struck in the early morning hours of 5/26/24: 1 in Rogers, 1 in Decatur, 2 by the lake, and multiple other tornadoes around Benton County. Power outages were widespread as we sweltered in the heat with no air conditioning. Sitting there in my inside room in total darkness, knowing I could be dead at any instant was traumatising. One of my cats is still crying out in his sleep.

This is legit why I don't wanna see a tornado in person where I live, because 1, they're mostly rain-wrapped, 2, tornadoes at night are a hell no, because you can't see them, and 3, I live where there are a lot of trees surrounding my neighborhood, so the trees block me from seeing a potential tornado. I was 11 years old in 1981, when i was in a very strong ef4 if not ef5 in haysville kansas, where my neighbor died, we were saved by a giant oak in my other neighbors back yard that fell along the back yards and not on us, i did not stop having nightmares about tornado outbreaks until i was at least 45 years old, and tornados still freak me out, i am literally right now considering not moving from this house into a much more convenient and comfortable home for me and my disabled veteran mom, because its close to the VA and has way bigger bedrooms, more closet space and two bathrooms, but i hate its location on the west side and on top of a flat long hill, where this home is at the bottom of and on the east side of a tall hill, making this place much less likely to be hit, i live on the se side of fort smith arkansas! So i have ptsd, its very bad on the mental aspect of a child and should be studied more imho!

There might have been no tornado warning initially. However, I believe that there was a tornado watch already in effect. When you have a tornado watch in effect, then you should treat any storm approaching you as having the potential of actively dropping tornadoes! That's especially true for a storm approaching you with this much lightning during a tornado watch. The radar signature of this storm made it crystal clear that this was a dangerous long-track supercell storm. Even if you don't have an active tornado warning, then it's best to take shelter from a storm like this one, or at least stay within close distance to a shelter. You're always better off being safe rather than sorry when it comes to a tornadic storm like this one! This particular storm was an extremely dangerous long-track tornadic supercell that kept dropping tornado after tornado for more than 400 miles! This storm started dropping tornadoes around the north side of Tulsa and across Eastern Oklahoma. Then moved all the way across Northern Arkansas to the Missouri Bootheel, dropping numerous tornadoes along the way. From the Bootheel it moved crossed the Mississippi River to the area along the Tennessee-Kentucky line, and ended up still dropping multiple tornadoes deep inside Western Kentucky. This storm finally dissipated over the Appalachian Mountains near the Kentucky-Virginia line. Fortunately long-track tornadic supercell storms like this one are a rare beast. However, a storm like this one is arguably the most dangerous type of thunderstorm there is. Long-track tornadic supercells like this one have been responsible for some of the worst tornado outbreaks in history across hundreds of miles!
@1018weather
@1018weather 27 дней назад
Oh yeah I already know but a lot of people don't know this. I think with how volatile this storm was they should have just put the whole storm in a tornado warning and the path in front of it.

These are the scariest storms because you can't see anything forming that well when it is this dark outside. We had a storm the other day...one second it was light out the next second it was so dark outside and it was morning at about 10 a.m. It came out of no where. I lived in Oklahoma as a child and moved back to Texas when I was a teenager and lived in Iowa for several years and I had never seen this weather so crazy as now.

What difference does it make if it’s a pane of glass on your car, or a pane of glass on a building? It makes the same sound inside of both. That’s why they are so loud. Do you think sirens were there to only notify people in cars of a nuclear attack too? Of course not. Hey guys, here's an idea. With a little bit of editing this could be marketable as a sleep helper. No, Im serious. Where I grew up in Kansas this was outside my bedroom window almost every night. It was the early 60's and a tornado watch meant go outside and look up. Gramps taught us that. When it changed to a warning, the cops would drive around with a bullhorn. Anyways...Pump up the gain on the crickets and thunder, either crop out (reframe) the light and put it on a loop. Sometimes I sleep with the rain and thunder videos but this is so much better. You'd have to lose the tornado footage, sorry but your views would go through the roof. It would be perfect. Just an idea.

Yep it came just south of us here on Lake Eucha, then hit Colcord & across the state line to North of Cherokee City, Decatur, lifted, & then touched down again in Bentonville & Rogers, actually got the nerve to go see some of the Destruction just west & northwest of Decatur today........ I watched the tornado warned storm development out west of I-35 & it moved all the way across Oklahoma & into Arkansas & eventually into Kentucky the next day, it missed us by about a 1/2 mile to the South, but you could see from our old block Cabin as the rotation went by as the wind changes occurred....... It was definitely a scary moment, had Grandkids with blankets, pillows & mattress ready, that was one crazy storm, actually had 3-4 debris signatures on radar at one time...... It actually went west, northwest of Decatur & another one at the same time went south of Decatur too

That is really scary, thank you for 1- putting your life in danger to Showcase the sheer beauty of the lighting but the terrifying fact that a tornado can sneak up on you, 2 how after the tornado was already doing a lot of damage the lateness of the sirens to warn people and how the storm chasers who are trying to get as much readings from the base and inside of a tornado to understand more and be able to give that extra minute of warning to help save lives. Lastly again I want to thank you for the video. I was literally on edge watching and can't imagine what the adrenaline rush you must have been feeling filming this. I've subscribed to your channel. Glad you made thru that tense situation. Praise The Lord! I wonder why there isn't a system in place to illuminate the night sky whenever those sirens sound off?
