Chalk another one up for green tip. Similar destruction (albeit a little toned down) with a ton more rounds in your pocket for the long days. Not still circling the Earth after the job is done... nice vid.
Interesting question my friend, and I've got 2 answers, 😂. Because of my usage of 7.62NATO in the long past, one would think that it is a favorite. Well it is certainly up there, but, I really love the 303 and the Lee Enfield rifle. The rifle was produced on a budget, designed for versatility, and had a mildish recoil that reminded you that you were firing a military firearm. It has character, style and an impeccable history, but it is not my overall favourite. The 308, imho, is more efficient than the 30'06 without the bluster, yes I respect both calibres, but the 308, I think, outshines it. 6.5 Creedmoor, extremely nice round. Plenty of energy downrange, zero recoil out of a TAC A1, very accurate, love it. BUT. My most favoured round is an old round, a round that was never all that popular. A heavy hitter, accurate, has character and plenty of recoil. It is expensive and a real bugger to reload but that's all part of the overall enjoyment. Some call it a torpedo launcher, but my favourite calibre by far is the 45/120 or 45 - 3 1/4 out of my Sharps, which was built in the original factory using original dies when the factory was reopened around 1980 and they did a limited run (4 digit ser num). It just makes me feel good shooting it. My old Brown Bess was a hoot, as was my 45 Kentucky, which so accurate it could shoot a pimple off you ball bag at 100yds, 🤣. Cheers mate, hope things a going good at your end.
Great video. I shoot 223 out to 500yds and it does fine on calm days but I’m bringing the Bergara 308 safe queen out to see if I can do better with it, hopefully work up some good loads for it. Thank you for the info.
