Are they both radar based chronographs? If so they could be causing interference with each other. I know running multiple radar detectors in a vehicle is often considered a bad idea because they cause interference. I don’t know though I’m just curious.

I’ve been testing this ammo for the past 4 months and it’s been pretty accurate through the rifles I’ve used. Averages 2-3” in an 18” FB Radom Beryl, 1.75-2” in a custom 16” build and around 1.5-2” in a 20” Windham Weaponry A1 Government. I think both the ARs have 1-7 twists. Oh these are 5 shot groups btw. I’ve seen crazy small 3-4 shot groups once in a blue moon (some 7/8”). Great channel btw! Always informative.

I was able to get 2k rounds of the ggg M193 at a local auction about 3-4 years back for 400 bucks. Took a huge chance on the stuff because I had never heard of or seen these before. Was pleasantly suprised with the stuff. Able to get around 2.5moa average with all my rifles and has been super reliable. Still have about 1k rounds left.

Maybe we consider the Light Screen variant as "realistic" and the Garmin as "optimistic". I think going forward it may be good to include both data sets. Sometimes the Garmin is +30, over +100, and other times very close. I'm not sure there's been any indepth studies to definitively say the doppler radar are the most accurate?

So GGG are good to go, however with the sale of LC Winchester last year and recently IMI would you consider both is a better performance than GGG? I have GGG in .308 Win never able to get my hand on the 5.56 Nato as there are majority offed in .223 Rem.
@BuffRANGE
@BuffRANGE 3 месяца назад
IMO depending on your use case, if current production LC/WIN M193 is sealed on both ends, that is my long term go to for spec M193. Then IMI as there are some reports that recent lots aren't sealed. If you're just shooting, get whatever has the best price :D
@uhavedied12334557
@uhavedied12334557 3 месяца назад
GGG 223 Rem is basically M193 velocities, they're labeled as 223 Rem because 223 Rem is a sporting cartridge while 5.56 NATO isn't in the EU mind the lot that I have was almost breaching 3k fps from a 13.7" and 14.25" barrel respectively, though YMMV. Save yourself a couple pennies per box.
@truonghthe
@truonghthe 3 месяца назад
@@BuffRANGE Thanks for the reply, but I thought Winchester M193 (LC ammo) does not have primer nor bullet sealed? Unless i missed within one of your test vid. Any how if anything I guess for long term stockpile I would stick with PPU (Prvi Partizan) decent velocity and good accuracy for factory ball ammo.
@truonghthe
@truonghthe 3 месяца назад
@@uhavedied12334557 there are several videos I saw that GGG .223 never reached close to Buffman GGG M193 velocity, yes I do understand the lot variation, air ambient temp and difference chrono reading. Other EU/Nato ammunition import here under 5.56 Nato such as Norma, Ruag, Sellier and Bellot, GGG and MFS Defense. Then there non Nato countries ammo such as ATS, Sadu, Igman, Prvi Partizan who also under the 5.56 spec and/or .223 Rem spec. In my experience without chrono read out the hottest .223 Rem load is from Lake City (.223 Rem Winchester white box/ Herter's .223 rem). most .223 Rem has hard time cycle reliably in Zastava M90 with gas setting 2. Only .223 Rem from LC ran perfectly fine. For plink or tuning adjustable gas piston/block i use PMC bronze to bench mark for cycle reliably. For normal range plinking/ practice I use PMC X-Tac or whatever reasonable at time (I still have quite a bit of Winchester LC M193) To my understanding Lake City stopped sealed their commercial rounds around 2019. Claiming they save about $20 per 1000 rounds, this when Federal still under contract to operate Lake City plant. Now for long term storage I want M193 has sealed neck and primer like my old IMI, PPU.

@@BuffRANGE GGG seals both ends of their ammo. They have been doing so ever since 2015 if I remember correctly as this is when they begin stamping to nato specs which require both sides of ammo to be sealed.

I had a ProChrono that died and it was replaced with a Caldwell, the new one seems to consistently gain a fair bit of velocity. Close to 100 fps in .223/5.56, not as much with pistol ammo. I do notice this ammo had a wide extreme spread. Is that fairly common in 5.56, or rifle ammo in general? I get some really wide extreme spreads with the smaller pills, but not nearly so much in pistol ammo.

According to the manufacturer's rather in-depth data sheet for their M193, it is a copper jacket with a 2.2% antimony lead core. I don't see any bimetal jackets on their 223 ammo. They also recommend it is shot from 1/9" or slower twist barrels.
