Man, I like your stuff but people are supporting amazon way too much..this bezos guy is not good and amazon is directly supporting china. I would highly recommend not supporting them so much.
I'm the new subscriber from Conway. I just bought a Makita sander from the Warehouse thanks to you! I also watched the video about buying lumber in LR. A friend took the woodworking class at the Arts Center a few years ago. She said the teacher mentioned Les Steen but also Sunset Hardwoods in South LR, way out Arch St. not far from Shannon Hills. I saved $20 on the sander, thanks again.
I recently discovered a store called Direct Tools Outlet. They sell factory blemished and reconditioned Rigid and Ryobi tools at a huge savings over what you would pay at Home Depot. They have sales pretty regularly, with really low prices. You can order online, or go to one of their brick and mortar stores. There's one about an hour from me, in St. Louis, that I need to check out.
When you add stuff to wish list and then check it the next time and if the price has increased or decreased it will tell you that from the time you added it to the list. Now I've noticed some companies instead of marking it down or up they make a new listing instead noticed that on a pocket jig they keep making new listings and stop supporting the previous listing. They loose there reviews doing that, but those the company's you probably don't want to support sounds extremely shady.
Great stuff to be aware of! There is a lot of wisdom in searching for bargains. Just this morning I told my friend that just because I can afford something doesn't mean it's not wise to look for bargains. Lowe's, Home Despot, and Amazon all have some great savings to be found if one is diligent to look for them. Love the t-shirt, brother!! Thanks again.
I bought a bounce house off of Amazon and while searching for ball pit balls, I was offered 50% on another bounce house. 2 bounce houses later, everyone is happy!! Good tips!
Saw the handcuffs in the background. A subtle reminder of who you were. I should probably hang a pair up in my shop too now that I’m medically retired from that field. 🙂
I bought the DeWalt battery combo shown and it arrived the next day. Only a little bit of damage on the outside corner of the plastic packaging. Thanks for the tip!
Matt, my God bless you for your kindness on paying forward not only the knowledge you have in woodworking, but such things as this. Knowledge is key to many and everything. Without it, most couldn't or wouldn't get by. May sound a little extreme when we're talking an Amazon deal, but I mean it in such a way as across the board in general. HD , Lowes, Ace Hardware..... I'd be happy to watch all these videos (I watch them anyway, lol), If you have the insider scoop on them as well. With gas prices over $5 in my area - W Coast Central Cali by the beach ⛱️ 🤦♂️🤢, ANY AND ALL DEALS WOULD BE GREAT to know and have. Thank you Matt, for taking the time to share this. Many of us know the basics but I'm sure, such as myself, haven't taken the time to sift thru such as you have. I know I appreciate someone like yourself doing so then sharing it! God bless you & the family, today, tomorrow & always brutha. 🙏
My Amazon looks nothing like yours has no todays deals tab or prime tab. I have a grocery tab there. I had to search todays deals to find it and yes I’m signed in and have prime.
OfferUp has brand new in the box never been opened or used tools from DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita etc. Usually about $50 less than Home Depot or Lowe's. Probably stolen but I don't know for sure.
I get an email every morning from Woot. A couple of weeks ago they had the Wen bench top drill press I had been looking at for $60 less that the usual Amazon price. I ordered before I went to work that morning! There's a lot of junk on there, but occasionally you get something like this.
Interesting. Most of the things don't display for me (I don't see a Today's Deals link, ditto Warehouse...). Dunno why...maybe cuz I usually use Amazon Smile to support a charity? But the links you included in the description got me where I wanted to go...so thanks for that.
Thanks, I have learned so much from your videos. I've been a Prime member for many years and had no idea all these pages existed. Funny thing though... This video was posted a year ago and I was on Amazon's site as I was watching the video and many of the same items were still listed for the same price. Curious?
I may be wrong but don't most (main big brand) manufactures void the warranty on tools that are bought through Amazon, since they are not an "authorized dealer"?
If you were in the military and have your DD-214, you get 10% off purchases. HD makes you bring it every time but Lowes lets you store it in your profile so it's easier to get the 10% discount
As a fellow tool addict, are we really saving money when we buy twice as many gizmos?! That's my wife's question whenever she sees me excited about a deal!😂 I hadn't heard about Woot, gonna have to check it out. You have come a long way man, I have been watching since damn near the beginning and now you have 262k subs and fancy systainers behind you!! Congratulations on doing what you love and having fun with it! Blessings and love to you and your family!❤️💛💚
Hey Matt. In the videos you usually use Ridgid tools. But I noticed you have a DeWalt planner. Any particular reason you bought DeWalt? I just got the Ridgid planner, wondering if I should just bite the bullet and pay the additional $150.
My dad gave me the planer as a gift for my birthday. However, the DeWalt was the one I wanted mainly because it is widely held as one of the better bench top planers on the market. With that said, I don't think you are missing a lot by not having it. The Ridgid planer is very good from what I've read.
A vacuum cleaner is a power tool. A tool is something other than human hands that helps you perform a task. and since a vacuum cleaner requires power its a power tool. a cup is a tool that helps you transport liquids or whatever you place in it.
I don't know if it's just my browser setup, or if Amazon has changed how to find things, but I don't have a menu item available for 'Today's Deals'. I've tried typing 'Todays Deals' in the search, but the result is not the same. If you are, like me, not finding them, I found a round-about way in - Shop by department / Home, garden & tools / scroll down select Tools, Home Improvement / Power and Hand Tools / Todays Deals / and again Power and Hand Tools. Once there the menu items look like in this video...
Matt do a video on Home Depot, cause I was Milwaukee tools and that would help me out. This video was very helpful I use Amazon allot but I learned a few things from your video on how to find the deals better. Thank You
Warning. If you buy a rigid tool from anywhere from home Depot or home Depot on line the Life time warranty will not be honored. I just bought the 18 gauge cordless nailer with the hyper drive. I got it for a great price. Went to register it and won't let me. I called them and they told me only tool's with the life time warranty has to be bought directly from them. I do have a 3 year warranty based on my ZIP code.
Being that I’m a beginner in woodworking, I trying to figure out how to square a piece of wood that only has one straight edge. Neither edge is straight, example plywood that’s about 5’3” X 4’ 7” ? Any help I would appreciate it. Thanks
Hola! 🖐 Any tips and "inside" info you can provide to help save some cash 💲💰💸 is helpful and APPRECIATED. Thanks for this video. Take care and have a good one, Adios! 👊
Didnt know about the outlet thing on Amazon. Just ordered some of those garage lights since mine is so dim. Appreciate the video! Just saved me some money and helped improve my workspace!
Matt, LOVE all your videos, including these. Have you heard of Slick Deals? They also have an app. Because of that platform I just bought a Milwaukee M12 Drill/Driver combo kit for $59.77 original price was $169. If you haven't heard or seen them I highly encourage you to check them out
Matt, Love your videos as they are extremely well done and very informative. Unfortunately, I am giving up on viewing them since you now have the video advertisements that have to play before every video. There is no option to bypass them and I don't want to waste the time looking at ads for something I have no interest in.
One more thing amazon sells on behalf of others, so the prices and change often. If u don't want it right away put it in ur save for later or through something like Honey to watch the price for a change.
okay, this is me being extremely stupid? How do I get the daily deals to show on my Amazon page. I have Googled everything I can think of to figure out how to place it there. Always appreciate your content.
I've heard a few people say they aren't showing up on there. Not sure if it is a browser issue, mobile vs desktop or Mac vs PC. I put a direct link to the today's deals page in the description for you
@@731Woodworks Nope. I normally use Firefox, tried Chrome and Safari. Menu looks the same on all three. No Deals. Weird. I did find the Outlet link buried in the menus.
Another quick tip for Amazon, if you are looking for a particular tool and aren't in a rush, add it to a wish list and Amazon will send you notifications or emails if that item goes on a deal like a Lightning Deal, or if the price changes
It seems very often, when I save items to any of my lists, the price goes up from what it was originally. If I generally search for it again, I can find it for the lower price.
With the exception of free deliveries and discounts I pretty much dislike Prime. I've had it nearly 2yrs now my deliveries are never delivered within 2 days takes nearly a week. An that's if UPS or Fedex don't mess up either LOL
Well I'm on Amazon as we speak on my phone and don't see any of them options...maybe Amazon. Has changed sense this vid was made..or it's different off a phone..
