I did everything according to the video and still got the 5 beeps. I fixed it by gently bending or forcing both contacts in the CMOS battery receptacle to improve the contact to it. One or both of them were not touching the battery correctly so the motherboard could not find it and beeped 5 times again anda again as if there wasn't a battery installed.
Hello, sir, I have a 280 gm3 ddr4 HP PC, I have a problem with the default beep. The Bios settings initially change the battery. Then I default the bios. Why is the long beep.
This did not fix my Pc without an extra step. I had the same error condition with the beeps. After replacing the battery the beeps were still there. I remembered having a boot up issue when I installed a SSD in my other Pc. What cleared that issue was the following: after booting up and seeing the error condition I held in the power button until the Pc shut off then, while STILL HOLDING IN THE POWER BUTTON, I unplugged the power cable, waited 5 to 10 seconds, released the power button, then plugged it back in. After this the beeps went away.
