i just don't eat snacks. used to do the whole 5 meals. 3 mains and 2 snacks. lost 100lbs, but it just wasn't fun or sustainable. everything revolved around food and timing when to eat. now 2 to 3 meals heavy on protein, i'm full all day and get to enjoy life.
Same here. As a full time college student (and a restaurant server during school breaks), it is difficult to prioritize my eating habits and find time to cook for myself. During times like these, 2-3 big meals a day works well for me, even though it might not be the best thing ever for my metabolism.
So with the second one you are having rice cakes which massively spike your insulin so not good. However, you very cleverly combine the carbs with protein like cheese and eggs and that makes all the difference in lowering the release of insulin which is an excellent way of doing it. This is one reason for intermittent fasting as every time we eat it leads to inflammation. If you had the rice cakes on their own that would be bad but you’ve come up with a good way of mixing carbs with protein which is spot on. Take a look at the glucose goddess book. She’s amazing and many other experts like yourself promote the idea of mixing carbs with proteins as many of us cannot avoid carbs completely and I am one of them. I think you need to publish a book. It will be a best seller. The last section can be diet. You’ve done it. You’ve proved yourself and we can see the results and this would sell. Keep up the great work. Massive fan

the problem w sugar free jello in the boxes is that it contains maltodextrin, and that has a GI or around 120 and WILL spike your blood sugar just as bad if not worse than sugar, the pre made cups have Sucralose which is also bad but does not spike blood sugar.
Try freezing Cottage cheese in the tub you buy it in, for no more than 2 hours. Pop it out and whisk it up - then add whatever you want to it. Keeping it simple.
At my age, and gender, I never lose weight on a low fat diet. It has got to be Low Carb, (moderate fat and protein). I never use spray oil, I use 1 T of bacon fat, butter, oil, etc. At 62 yrs old this is the only way I can lose fat and build muscle.
Sara Lee makes a type of diet bread labeled "Delight". It comes in white, wheat & honey wheat. Instead of the normal 100 - 110 calories per slice, it is only 45 calories. And it tastes just like any good bread.
I really like this! I'm a nurse, working 14 hours 3 days in a row and I'm soooo tired of throwing a salad in my bag. I love the ideas I can prep ahead that aren't boring chicken and veggies!

This is like having a personal chef! One of the best parts about these snack recipes is my 10-year-old son would eat this! He loves his snacks and kids can easily get into a caloric deficit just like adults and want a snack. I'm a runner and I work a very active job. 25,000 steps a day is my regular. An active day for me is 40,000 so that should put it in perspective how active I am. I forget to take breaks and heal. Sometimes when I'm in a caloric deficit, which happens a lot, i get hungry and eat on the run. I'm trying to work on that but this is awesome. Thank you! When I get hungry like that I can eat a lot of sugar sometimes. It's not good and anybody can be diabetic. I can't believe that you're sharing all these recipes for free. These are great

Great video! One tip on how to remove egg yokes is to squeeze an empty water bottle right above the egg yoke and release the bottle allowing it to return to it's original shape. The yoke will then be sucked into the bottle. Easy peasy...
Dr. Mike PLEASE show us more meals ideas to know what to eat correctly to loose weight. For the last 2 years I thought that I was eating healthy and I couldn’t loose weight most of the time maintaining or getting more weight due it to eat something out of my healthy routines, but with your videos I learned that is not only eating healthy, is important to count what you eat and that is hard for me but I wanna try it. Dr Mike, thanks for ideas. Tip back for you - to avoid the bread crumbs sticking to fingers, use the left hand right hand method. Left hand to drop the chicken into the crumbs, right hand to cover the chicken with crumbs and put into the air fryers or vice versa
Mate, this is some next level stuff! As someone with a crazy sweet tooth, and a absolute love of ice cream, dieting is always challenging. My go to has always been a couple of pieces of dark chocolate. But it often does not hit the spot. Jogurt and the protein ice-cream is genius!
