CLS is always a good example of this. So much so that none of us want to break that team up. The other that comes to mind is Traya. While there have been additions, even the trio still gets a lot of work done.
with leia and jabba and jml. I can't believe cg would make cls the most useful team in the entire game. Not even 1 element in cls team is useless, not to mention the teams that come with it, like bh, prof...... and they still slap hard. They are definitely the best in game, useful in pretty much all sides of them game, no pre 13 kyro except only chewpio
General Veers, Imp Troopers are still very relevant in conquest. The team was also great to use together or on other teams for the Endor raid. I'm pretty sure we'll see a Deathstar raid if the game is still around in 3 years for the 50th anniversary and those Imp Troopers will still be relevant.
In my humble opinion I think CLS needs to die. His entire team is soo good and can lift so many other teams to new heights but people refuse to break up this team. Han and chewie are amazing with scoundrels and rebels in general. Those two under Sana with cara and STH can kill any empire team and more. Chewie and chewpio can make Wookiees good, chewpio can give sorty the damage that super tanky team so desperately needs. Don’t even get me started on 3po. He makes so many teams so good. He even lifts the Ewoks to the point they can take on the likes of GAS. I just feel like all of these characters are so good and honestly being held back by CLS lead which isn’t really doing anything in the meta right now besides having a low win rate against good GAS teams
@@Silvermetal954 if you wanna see Ewoks beat GAS go watch ahnaldt do kneesa testing. Are you in kyber 1? If so how many times has CLS rode the bench for you? If you’re not then go watch your streamers who are in kyber one and see how many times CLS doesn’t get used. Or han and chewie get used with dash. Leaving chewpio and 3po without a home. Just because most people use Sana with rolo and captain han does NOT make it the best comp lol that’s my entire point. If you think han and chewie don’t make that team better then you should take your own advice and “git gud.”
@@Silvermetal954 dude one of the first battles in his testing stream with kneesa is him using 3po to beat zorri lol and you just admitted CLS doesn’t get used after saying CLS doesn’t fall off. My arguments are redundant for countering you saying han and chewie doesn’t make Sana better? Ok bro. Idk why you’re so mad lol anyone in the top of kyber knows CLS is falling off. I’m just saying the other characters in his team are really good and could be put to better use rather than riding the bench with CLS all of the time and it’s a shame that doesn’t happen often enough because people don’t want to break up the CLS team. Idk why you’re so triggered by that lol
@@Silvermetal954 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--3JqQbpKmnY.htmlsi=QWbfejgXj6y5y4mM This is a link to a video by gerbil of Ewoks beating GAS, darth revan, JKL, JKR, and starkiller, and looks like maybe the poggle cron in TW. Without 3po and without the chirpa omi. So you can imagine how much better they could be with them. Now are you gonna hold up your end and jump off a bridge?
Teams that stood the test of time for me : The Triumvirate : Darth Traya and Co. I use them in ever changing combinations, but in general the core three are still there for me and the "Core" Bounty Hunters, like Bossk, the Fetts, now Mandalorian. But you might argue that they are similiar to Palpatine, that they are ever changing and don't have any resemblance with the Bounty Hunters from 5 years ago.
I know you have Palps in the Honorable mention, I would argue though that SK derseves a spot in the Top 5, as a pretty constant mini-GL and GL-killer(provided Rey doesn't have a busted DC again).
I think Imps would qualify. Yes, they've only been OP as long as Piett and DT have been around but that's still older than Inqs. And, yes, the team has been fractured and scattered to different lineups but I still find uses for them from time to time, especially when they have friendly datacrons. I'm looking forward to taking down Zorii with Imps again now that the nasty holdo-cron is gone
Imps were my jam before I stopped playing a couple of years back. I had the first or second R9 Iden and f2p as well (that was a lot of crystals saved up) and the beefiest Dark Trooper in the game. Now I'm back playing a new account, that's my goal to get back there with the Imps, now with the added bonus of Scout Trooper finally having been added to the roster!
AdRad Rogue One has delivered a lot of value in almost all game modes. They definitely have shortcomings but I feel they deliver a lot of value in Fleet, TB, TW, Conquest and GAC.
i can't wait to get my 501st up and running. i recently unlocked GAS but have to prioritize completing my naboo raid teams first. once they are done, it's full steam ahead towards 501st relics! especially with GAS being a req for GL Ahsoka, it gives me another reason to bring him to high relics
Geos I only have them at g12 and still find uses for them, not so much lately but for a while for sure and they are a pain still in TW with Poggles omni. My second account is in mid-game and they are the bones of my squad allowing my to punch higher than I should be able to.
I guess it's obvious for a GL but I farmed SLKR within the first year of starting this game, I started farming him around 1.5m GP, and until I got Bane, he's been the best character/team ever since, he regularly gets me holds in low Kyber, especially now with his DC, he's gotten me through impossible Conquest battles before my roster really expanded, he was able to brute force most GC's and he gave me a good fleet to clear fleet battles and stay top 50 in fleet arena until I finally, several years later committed to Executor. People clown on the fleet and there are objectively stronger GL's to get, but I'll still fully support SLKR being the best first GL, gives you a great GAC omicron team, a GL killer/stopper team depending on whether you use him for offence or defence, a really good TW omicron team, I'd say even here and there in Kyber there are some weaker teams that Kylo Ren can solo, plus the fleet IS good and can beat Executor, 2 teams with a potential solo character and a fleet, plus you get a "free" R7 Palpatine for an early Empire squad and boost to his ship if you farm it, plus he's the only GL that hasn't gotten a lifter/hasn't been released strong enough to not need one and he still kicks ass.
I quit the game the first time because of the excessively long reign of Darth Revan on release. Think he was the meta for well over a year and JKR before him. Came back around CAT, but I found the eventual release of Leviathan just put an end to me. Funny enough, now I just watch people play the game and the new characters. I don't miss playing, but I do have momentary interest in say the new GLs for example with Ahsoka and Thrawn.
IMO, Han Solo is the best designed character in the game. When he came out, they told us he was going to be relevant forever in this game, and they were 100% correct.
can't say super-awesome, but teams that are still quite good from the time they showed up bossk-lead BH(+Greef and Mando), ofc Bossk and greef should be super fast but that team is still pretty solid and triumvirate. Sure old granny is not the same, even with omicron, but stil manages to pay the rent at GA. oh... Wampa. Previously he was super cool addition, but now he is a solid team =D
Dude the inquisitor farm is THE WORST in the game. That being said, once I bit the bullet and got them farmed up they’ve been unbelievably good for my roster.
Hey Calvin! - could you give your thoughts/projections on when GL Ahsoka will be released? …also, do you think she will be apart of the next raid? Love your work!
I'd push back on that quite a bit. In GAC they certainly fall from grace without her. But you need them to get her, they still 3* all of their AB, GI Omis carry in TW, purge is still easily obtainable for conquest feats and their ships don't require her at all.
@@CalvinAwesome The real problem with inqs is they're probably the most expensive team in the whole game, with Reva definitely the most expensive single toon and Scythe the most expensive non-capital ship. They're very good, but they're just so extremely costly, and I'm not sure they're worth how much they cost. Yes, Reva is GL level, but she's more expensive than true GLs. Plus, for all that cost, you only get one squad and some mostly wasted high relic toons, as compared to most GLs that incidentally feed into other projects. And Phoenix hard counters her for cheap (sometimes even good datacrons don't stop that), so it's not like you're getting an oppressively strong team that's just worth any price. They get gobbled up by NS without Reva, too. Yes, Scythe is also excellent, but you can also beat Levi with Marauder or Profundity for way cheaper, and you can easily beat Executor with Chimaera even without Scythe. Also, Scythe isn't the whole Chimaera fleet on its own, you also want Interceptor and Defender. You could spend roughly the same resources to get SLKR plus Profundity as you'd spend to just get Reva, and you'd get a GL + squad, AdRad squad, a second FO squad, two fleets (one of which is a ~GL), plus valuable toons like DV and EP. Or alternatively, you could get Jabba, who gets you a GL squad plus additional sundry Bounty Hunters, feeds the CLS squad, gets you JKL, has RotE missions, and gives you a huge slicing mat income stream while majorly overlapping reqs with other GLs. By contrast, Reva just gets you one squad plus one non-capital ship. The AB and RotE missions will take a very long time to pay for themselves, especially as compared to what you could be accomplishing with those resources instead. And I haven't even mentioned that Scythe is a conquest unit which has a major time component to it now in PG, plus Reva herself has both a time gate and a guild gate. She isn't attainable for lower level guilds. So even if you collect all the resources for inqs, you might not be able to even put them to use. Again, obviously inqs are strong, they beat most things. But this is a resource management game more than it's a combat game, and being overpriced is equivalent to being bad. In terms of value, it's tough to justify going for inqs until you have basically nothing else to do in the game.
I have had Darth Revan at r7 for a couple months now with no zetas, but I do have the zeta on my r3 Badstilla. Seems like JKR's zeta's were much more important to his team than Darth Revan's are, so I have all 3 on my JKR. I'm just so zeta poor right now. Once I unlock Malak in a couple weeks, I'll look into his turn meter zeta and anti-assist zeta. The third one seems minor. Badstilla's zeta seemed much better overall than DRevan's. (I know his leadership preventing turn meter loss is massive for many of his team's uses, but at Aurodium, I can still find uses for him even without using him for his traditional counters.)
