Zetas from fleet shipments are too sacred to use for characters imo. GG from the shard is much better than from fleet for me, even if its not efficient.
I tend to disagree with people when it comes to the Contraband Cargo event. You do get a bit less shard shop currency when you do the final tier, but you get more Prestige tokens, Reinforcement Materials, Ship Omega materials, and most importantly for me ship building materials, from 50k to 100k per run. I have plenty of shard shop currency 16k, while I constantly need ship building materials, but that may be because I sometimes use it to buy good mods.
Yeah it's a nuanced take. I'm at thousands of all the ship stuff and with how little they release ships I will never burn through them. Completely wasted on me
It depends on the moment the player is. I have all my ships and capital ships fully upgraded since years ago, and I have a lot of these materials which I cannot use anymore, so I prefer the shards for the shard shop.
I'm not convinced it's fair to treat currencies equally. Like, hypothetically, what if the conversion rate for MkII to Shard was 1.5:1? Then buying the medpacs with MKII wouldn't seem like such a bad deal. I'm not sure what the conversions rates are for any of these or the best way to determine them. It seems like it'd be a very complicated thought experiment. In the meantime I can't think of a better way to evaluate them then as you did, but it's still interesting to think about
Yeah treating equally isn't the best way, just some napkin math to make it quick. You can rely on it more if you have both options (like kyro and furnaces) with both currencies. There are more elaborate spreadsheets (similar to the one we showed towards the end) that are needed when you're trying to look at the more nuanced stuff
Lol I got desperate and spent mk raid currency on 5 kyros last night. I knew I should not but I couldn't wait to get jml to the next gear level. I won't do it ever again, I'm just a bit compulsive sometimes.
So if we shouldn't buy right side mk xii gear from ssc where can we buy? I have so many characters i need to gear 13, and i run out of mk ii raid currency fast. What's an alternative to mk xii gear farming? Cause with ship energy i have to farm ships, so that's not really an option for me either.
I think some right side pieces are not available in the guild event tab, am i wrong? For example, where do I get Mk 12 Czerka Stun Cuffs Prototype Salvage as a F2P player? I have to use GAC for kyro, I do not have crystals (I'm F2P), I have no access or very little Mk II Guild Event Token (even if I have it, I have to use it for Malevolence or Nego), I HAVE to get it through SSC
GET3 tokens aren't accessible by everyone, those are restricted and gated with high level guilds. Your price comparison is only valid for players that are in high level guilds that's swimming in GET3. Not every player is a member of a 400M+ guild. For players for one reason or another, that's not in those guilds, Legend Tokens are the only means to get more Micro Attenuators. Omicron mats are easy to accumulate, especially when one has to apply Zetas first before the Omicron. One can be sitting on a mountain of Omicron mats while waiting for 20 Zeta mats to accumulate first. This is another problem not for high power guilds, they get so much in rewards after each TB/TW. Not every player needs every Omicrons, especially when a lot of those are GAC focused and not every player loves GAC. Every player with GLs needs at least 120 Zeta mats for each GL and zero Omicron mats on the other hand.
I think you're underestimating how bad those crunches will be later on and going for the inefficient method now will hurt you later. I'd encourage you to play the long game and not burn resources.
@@CalvinAwesome To get 20 Omicron mats for one Omicron with Legend Token, it takes 12,000. Those same 12,000 tokens can buy 240 Micro attunators that can calibrate a load of mods. Players in different power level guilds will value things differently. My guild barely get 3-4 stars in lightside Geonisis, GET3 is a pipe dream, together with KAM shards. Buying attunators in a good way to level up everyone to score better. An extra Omicron isn't gonna help anyone obtain GET3 tokens, but a few calibre mods sure help getting more stars just to reach the GET3 prize level.
This really sounds like cope man, a few calibrations is never gonna result in more stars. Use the 1-2 off omicrons to complete one you've been getting from another source. Or don't, it's your account
@@CalvinAwesome You are in a 4-500mil GP guild, you guys get bajillion stars in ROTE and more tokens than you know what to do with. Our guild is 130mil, we can get to Wat shards and get a few each time, we can't even reach KAM shards sector yet. Those extra few speed makes a big difference on turn order and whether we can finish off a wave for banners or not. I have almost 180 omicron mats, but like 5 zeta mats, zetas is literally our bottleneck. At our GP level, a TW win is only 2 zeta mats, a loss is 1. I can apply a few omicrons but those are for GAC, they do zip helping the guild and I have no interest in doing solo stuff like GAC so most GAC omicrons are pointless to me. My account is around 11.5mil GP, only GL I don't have is JMK as I am gated behind Wat. I enjoy the team aspect of SWGOH more, I carried the guild in raids, TB and TW, my guild mates are catching up with the rewards obtained and sharing the load. Helping them get better is my enjoyment in the game, and I most certainly need loads more zetas than omis to further that help.

Ok.. so #1.. regarding that.. I need 6000 Kyro.. and I need less than 750 per right side pieces. AND.. I’m not bottlenecked on g12 gear.. I try hard not to buy them for 2000.. but.. to say never.. without factoring and weighting the overall need is an apples to oranges comparison.. it’s stupid expensive but I probably buy them every other week..
I'll die on saying never. The overall need balances over time for those resources, to buy something purely because you need it and ignoring the overall value of what you'll need later hurts you in the long run
@@CalvinAwesome I have an oddball account. It’s launch.. but I missed a year.. probably don’t have as much need for g12 as most.. it’s more about farming rates for me.. but I’m always ahead on g12 since returning.. and I’m so far behind on kyro.. it’s crushing.
