Awesome advice! I am torn about the guild advice, I know that my current guild is holding me back in certain ways, but the guild fits my lifestyle. I own a farm so am super busy in the spring, Summer, and Fall, and have downtime in the winter. I play every day but have more time and mental energy in the winter, so a casual guild fits my life. So nice to not have the stress and pressure of guild stuff, but it sucks getting 3-5 Reva shards.
Lifestyle definitely fits into things. If you're not able to perform the same half the time then maybe it's best for you to stay. There might be a guild somewhere that could accommodate both?
I have been around almost 7 years and made sooo many mistakes early. Went too wide (gearing everyone, no matter how useful), stayed in weak guilds too long, didn’t build up fleets, etc. Reversed most of that. Follow 4/5 of your points. I finish top 3 or 4 in almost every mode in my guild, but don’t want to leave them. Most guilds at the next step would probably need more time commitment and coordination. And I really like the people I am with. But your advice is true over all, especially early on.
Your guild point is a good one. At a certain point moving to the next level could require a level of commitment most people would no longer enjoy the game at. Thanks for your feedback!
Nobody ever gave me the advice to go wide first, that was just what my mind drew me towards doing when I came back in 2022. So pretty validating to hear one of the smartest SWGOH youtubers echo that idea and concept. I know now I did the right thing in practice, minus not going for more of the core 8 lol.
Back when SA was a thing and the other game modes were a lot more limited going high might've been better. But yeah, that's just not the landscape of the game anymore. So much to benefit from going wide
I never thought I'd be advocating for an alliance for guilds, but when I restarted last year I had a guild in one take me. Starting with H STR rewards from the very beginning was incredible for growth, and I've been promoted up 2 guilds so far, the 2nd time before I even thought I was ready for a promotion, and it's been so awesome. I'm sure there are plenty of bad alliances out there, but if you can find one that wants you to grow with them, they can make a huge difference to your roster over time.
I started a new account in April. Right now, I have slkr and profundity, 700 daily crystals from everything, aurodium 4, and 3.8 mil gp. Hyperdirve account and haven't spent more than 100 bucks outside of that. Refreshes for energy are extremely underused for some reason
I spent my first year in my starter guild and it was tough to leave but I'm so happy I did and I brought a couple of my favorite guys over to my new guild so it's been nice to continue to have those friends and get better rewards
@@tedcox3586 the guild pretty much dissolved when I left and they asked to join me. But there is absolutely nothing wrong with recruitment, giving people a better place to play is a kind act.
@batmanwins5701 ok, well if it's as you say. I had some old guildmates left, came back "home" left again with several of our players...to a pretty much same level guild...I think wat shards were the complaint. Years later, we are still here, they, not so much. Leaving a guild is a touchy subject. Do what you have to do, but communicate. And don't backstab.
This is probably a dumb question, but I kinda want to know, I'm almost able to unlock SEE (I just need to get Dooku to R6, JKA to R7, and Krennic to R4. When I get finished with that, I plan on going for the Executor, when I get finished with Executor, I kinda want to go after Jabba. I'm not entirely sure if I'm just being overzealous or getting too far ahead into my account, but I just wanted to ask and see what opinions I can see :)
Being two steps ahead seems perfectly reasonable to me. I like Jabba/exec together because it allows you to use a whole BH team on ground outside of HC
@CalvinAwesome True, you would have a great defense if your opponent doesn't have a guarantee counter to Jabba or Executor (unless they have really good teams like Aphra with her Datacron)
Honestly you should have a vague plan for the next 1-2 years. Example: see => executor => a legendary =>jabbab=> finishing unfinished teams That way you can farm ahead (if you are planning to go for something that requires a ship farm you might have to start that a earlier) but also change it depending on what new comes out.
Is it still wise to spend thru the 200 refreshes for the galactic chase if you don’t have zori 7stars. Or is it better to save the crystals and try to time it to 7star both around the same time.
I’m free2play I’ve been building up fleet for a while and am probably going to unlock the Executor in a month. But my fleet arena is filled with 7 star leviathans and executors so I probably won’t be getting many crystals.
If i already farm shard for both jabba and leia just wait to gear them up. What is your opinion to go first jabba or leia ? I already have slkr executor
Should you ever be refreshing specific nodes to farm shards faster or is that a waste and you should just stick to refreshing energy and the long haul.
More often than not do the long haul. Only reason to refresh the node is if it's literally the last piece to a big legendary or if the event time limited
So just wanting some tips here I currently am f2p and am currently going for GL Leia. I currently have over 11k crystals. How would you suggest best spending them to make the most progress towards her?
Refreshing normal energy for Kyros or cantina energy for signal data are the biggest two. The CCB packs when they hit the store are also good value if you need them.
Después de tantos años deberían agilizar el tema del farmeo de personajes y equipo. Demasiadas build y escuadrones como para que te tardes de 4-6 meses en subir un personaje a reliquia, es absurdo
They really have done that in a lot of little ways. Lots of characters are now accelerated and some like Mando are now in shops. You can build some of the beginner squads very quickly
Guild is all about people participating if half or majority not participating its time to leave xome to brg hit me up all we ask is 600 tickets and participate idf u sign up for a event thats it
@@CalvinAwesome Wish I would have gotten it on release. I've only started collecting comics when Aphra was released in game. So, I definitely paid for it. 😅 I'd like to see a rundown vid of your comics, but I can't speak for your other viewers.
Why don’t they have mods for ships? It would make a lot more “sense” than modding a character. I know the game was designed and added to in chunks… but it seems like CG wants $hip$ to be important.
What is the best team with lord Vader without Maul? Does a team with Lord Vader, Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader, Thrawn and Royal Guard/Mara Jade make sense?
LV for better or worse has a lot of viable units under him. Best team is probably RG, Reva, GI, and Malicos. But a full empire team is fine if you don't have Maul
I was going to ask that. I know Calvin loves a spreadsheet. I have my own and try to budget saving 200 crystals a day. I have built up to 15k crystals. But this chase will damage that balance.
I need help finding a guild active! any I try join are capped ,I'm due to buy the hyperspace bundle soon, but atm I can only join inactive guilds, anyone have spaces? btw I know what I'm doing I'm just on a new account
@@CalvinAwesome yes but the issue is f2p players can't know when they hit and they have the potential of making it impossible to get 50 crystals early on.
