You should have mention The Wheel Hex, They are plastic and often gets rounded.. Specially if you are running on Lipo😁 but other than that, Great video!🏁
Sounds like the shocks suck and just need a dull replacement if the shafts are garbage too. It'd be cheaper and easier to just swap for something decent.
I have about 75+ cars. I only use the stock radio on the stampede. I was against the blue tooth mod but you talked me into it, I’ll give it a shot. Thank you!
I got the link module and was disappointed the flash doesn’t come with telemetry sensors. Looks like I’ll still get some use out of it for customizing the transmitter good to know
I’d say better drive shafts, shocks, servo, if you can snag the shock guards from a stampede 4x4 Vxl you can trim them a little and put them on the slash(looks fantastic), camber/steering rods. If you have the platinum or ultimate version you don’t need different shocks but having these add ons will make it indestructible
@@RazorRC if you get shocks for $35 and you rebuild the seals and redo the fluid what makes them not so good if the caps stay on because honestly the Traxxas Slash the only problem is the Caps don't stay on the shocks now tell me honestly what you think about cap staying on and what the problem is
Regardless of the Traxxas Rig you buy, the number 1 most important upgrade right out of the box, before you do anything, is pull and sell the scrap electronics. If it has a Venilion motor and ESC, you may keep them for a bit. Install a quality Steering Servo, a better ESC/Motor and Radio system like the Flysky FS6 or the Radiolink RC6GS, and the rest you can deal with as you need.
I’ve had my platinum for 3 years and I’ve gone through one esc which I got replaced through traxxas for $50, other than that I haven’t had any problems and have absolutely loved the damn thing. Obviously everyone has their preference for what electronics they run but I don’t think it’s top priority to get rid of the stock electronics
@@colbyfrancoeur3549 Their escs have gotten way better no doubt. Hell, I was shocked to see they added epa and exp to their radios, which are usually pretty good. But lets face it, a Traxxas servo, or brushed motor, and even their bl motors are barely above cheap Chinese knockoff quality. 8 yrs ago, it was a requirement to put in a good servo out of the box if you wanted to run a whole battery pack or two.
@@MyKonaRC Do they work sure. do they fail, more often than not. But lets be honest, if Traxxas Electronics Game was really stepped up (they have been doing that over the last 5ish years) and how it is used, they would be better off for it. You may run your rc like an rc, not many do.
Just replace the whole danm shock instead of spending the money on fixing the shitty ones with no adjustable collar. My biggest and most important upgrade for any of those is to get rid of all the Traxxas electronics. They are junk period. I change out servo all the way to the crap tq or tqi radio
The speed controller has training mode that limits the speed to 50%. The truck should come with instructions on how to enable it. You could also use a 2s LiPo instead of a 3s as well as gearing down with a smaller pinion.
Hey razor rc! Love your videos. Do you still recommend the htrc t240? I'm looking for a new charger on a budget. Thanks a response would be much appreciated!
@@kaistackhouse4184 Storage will charge to 3.8v/cell if your battery is too low, and discharge down to 3.8v/cell if it's too high. So run it down to 3.8 or a little below and then hit the storage charge.
Bahahaha! Finally someone who doesn't think traxxas is the shit like me!! I say the samething all the time but i run associated. Never ran tekno so i cant preach on them but losi and associated i have and there better quality by far even there rtr kits. Traxxas is overpriced garbage!!! U shouldnt have to buy a rtr kit amd then have to upgrade it just to be more durable out of the box. My first gen rtr pro comp sc10 is still kicking it
