If it makes you feel better about throwing up in your mask: my mom is a 4th grade teacher and at the beginning of last year, she had just given the whole talk about how if you are going to vomit, you can just pick up the trash can and walk out of the classroom without asking. Literally the next day, she was teaching her class and one of her students started vomiting inside their mask. People be throwing up inside their masks and thats just how it be
Cindy and Chanelle both living in Texas (after, you know...) is clearly the prologue to a young adult novel. And then you both get whitewashed in the nerflix adaptation
As _soon_ as you said you ate at a Golden Corral here, I said "She's gonna throw up at some point" Because that's just what that place does. Lots of other things played a part, but that barf buffet was the one standing in the middle of the pentagram
the not telling your friends something bad happened to you to not ruin their fun is too relatable. one time i was hanging with friends then started to get tunnel vision so i quietly went to the bathroom and passed out on the floor lol. after i came to i lay there for about 15 mins till i felt well enough to get up and go join everyone again. i told my friends a couple days later and they told me they thought i just had diarrhea hahah
Ok but one time I was driving home with a migraine and the nausea completely took over. I threw up inside my mask which made me gag more so I took it off (bad mistake) and then threw up all over the steering wheel and car door. It was during rush hour too so I know people must have seen me struggling. 😭
the "books for tall people" section at 24:25 is so amazing!! Also i didn't know you were an aspiring writer!! Can't wait for the day you'll tell us more about it :))
Cindy, I relate all too well to the throwing up thing. In March I threw up in my mask in the middle of airport security in front of all my friends. I didn’t make it to the trash can :D
Theres this one book i hold really near and dear to my heart- its called Nevermoor by jessica townsend! Its a fantasy book about a cursed girl fated to die when she turns 12, and finding out she’ll actually be dying in 3 days. She then gets whisked away to a magical world to escape death and its SUPER good. Its a middlegrade series, but i’ve found that people of all ages have been able to enjoy it. Putting this here because it doesn’t get nearly enough recognition on booktube sadly
So excited to see you went to Recycled Books in Denton! I absolutely love it and go every year on my birthday. All the little paths and rooms are so fun to explore.
You throwing up but carrying on with the fun is basically me whenever I get sick on a night out but I power through with my besties as they party 🤣 tick tock on the clock but the party don't stop
A ten months old travel vlog with people we havent seen in this channel in 2 and a half years and 2 years ago respectively! Cindy, I've never thought you would be someone making me feel nostalgic 🥲 Ferryman does have a beautiful cover
These vlogs are so cool! It’s still about books but with a twist! My image for people who read are introverts or someone who don’t go out so it really gives me a much more larger perspective. Also I’m so excited for your Japan vlog!! I think you went here right? Or was I dreaming? Only because I’ll get to know cool locations that I will definitely visit!! I’ve been living in Japan for 10 years but I don’t go out and I’m too scared to be lost unless its a 40 minute by train to a bookstore.
I enjoyed this video concept so much 😭 also, as someone who's lived in Dallas my whole life it was kinda weird but also so, so cool to see u visit places I've been to as well!! I love that recycled book store u went to in Denton cause I would go a lot when I lived there for school ~~ if u haven't visited yet, there's a lot to do in Carrollton, TX if you're nearby :O anyways, looking forward to ur next vid--hope you've been taking care 😊
So I’m a student in Edinburgh and my Highschool actually did this interview thing with Claire McFall for the Teen Title magazine for the Ferryman book!! It’s so weirdly cool to see you read a book that’s so personally connected to my life that I really enjoyed reading!
@@withcindy ikr!! I was so hyped that I got picked as one of the two students to write the questions to send to her!! Seeing my name in a magazine, even if it’s some ya magazine was so cool and surreal as a teenager :D
Omg am so excited to watch this I missed your book controls your life vids + travel vlogs ❤️ btw is tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow on your radar? I loved it and curious on your thoughts about it. Take care!
omg is that monica kim???? idk why it's so jarring for me to hear about booktubers hanging out with other booktubers as if that doesn't make sense 😂😂 i'm also really happy to see chanelle again. it's been too long.
Oh my goodness you were in Dallas?! I’m from the Dallas area and love places like The Bishop Arts District! They have this really neat bookstore called The Wild Detectives that is part bar part bookstore! They play live music outside and the overall vibe of the store is really cool! I love when cool people are in Dallas haha. I feel like it can be such an overlooked city!
Love living vicariously through your travel vlogs! I’m always bookmarking places to visit in the future - Met Cloisters is def next on the list! Lmao at the way no man can wear a red scarf ever again xD
Cindy, I'd love to hear your comments and SEE YOUR REACTION on Alex Aster's “Lightlark” once it gets released 😆 It's a disaster but the thing is it's too disastrous it'll definitely entertain you that's for sure
It's wild that you visited Inwood, where I currently live, AND Galveston, where I grew up / lived the majority of my life in one video. (I cannot believe you ate at the Golden Corral. Bleh!)
You know Cindy has been holding on to this one for a while, pondering if the world really needs to know that she puked in that mask. Luckily, she chose the unwise option but left us with more content.
Loved the vlog ^^ I signed up once for galatea, because i wanted to read this book about aiden the wolf and selena (the ad said i could for free if i sign up), but their ads lie, you have to pay to read that one :/
how did you make galveston look so nice?? i've lived in texas my whole life, and galveston never looked so pretty. i hope you enjoyed your time in texas, despite the vomit
Cindy: what is more comfortable and safe than the suburbs My female minority ass that can’t drive: 🤨 👁👄👁 Also anyone know the park Cindy visited in NYC? It was really pretty
NYC sounds like so much fun‼️Ironically I live in Texas San Antonio‼️ 📚 and vacationing sounds like my ☕️‼️ The Pier sounds like sensory overload‼️ Yay more 📚 🏬‼️ I feel you I love my job, but it can be overwhelming especially because I work at a kids’s museum‼️ Ps: I finished Home Field Advantage it the best‼️ I’ve managed to get 59 chapters into Run Rose Run, and it’s heart -wrenching‼️ Last but certainly not least I picked So This Is Ever After which is funny and charming‼️
So full disclosure: I skipped to the vomit story because I had to know. But Texas heat is the devil and I had a bad trip on edibles there so the whole state is on my shit list. 😤
Ahh you moved to Texas right after my husband and I just left for Iowa (ik 😅). I would soooo be down for a meetup since my parents moved from NY to Dallas to live with me.
Getting a train to Long Island worked out much better, as none of the trains to Scotland are running at the mo cos the UK has such horrendous workers rights that all the train staff are on strike right now 😂
